Fish Taco - 3/5 sadly this was more breading than fish and was more on the soggy side despite eating it right away (in the car). Flavor was minimal so didn't leave a lasting impression. Shrimp Taco - 2.5/5 I am a huge shrimp fan and was very disappointed with the shrimp taco. Not much flavor on the over all dish - just a good amount of pico de gallo which felt like an after thought to fill up the taco. Chicken Taco - 4/5 definitely loved this one! Taco was crispy shell, shredded chicken was in abundance along with cheese and lettuce. Flavor was great too. Carne Asada Taco - 3/5 lots of meat and was a filling taco for sure. I haven't been in since they became what they are now. One thing that stayed consistent? Unmelted cheese. I am not as bothered by it as I used to be, it's expected at this point when ordering cheese dishes as quick places. The flavors were on point, as was the portion size. I went with the cheese enchilada combo and was not able to finish, though it may have had something to do with it being the first and only meal of the day, well into the evening. I did notice the veg in the rice which to me made it even more delicious... I tried all of their salsas and each of them were delivious in their unique ways. The first time we ordered takeout all of the food was easy 5 stars. The salsa, hot sauce bar is great and always fresh and on ice. I got the chicken quesadilla (supreme) with shredded chicken, which the menu says comes with guacamole and sour cream, but he said it did not. He gave me some generous portions anyway! I also got an assortment of salsas from the bar. I am not sure what they do to that chicken, but it is the most moist chicken I may have ever had and a very generous portion! The atmosphere wasn't bad, other than it was cold inside, but the tv was playing really good Spanish music, I even seen Selena! My goal was to grab for to-go, but when I got my food I decided to eat right there since I was so cold, and I'm glad I did. The nachos were superb! They must make their own chips because these were so good, just the chips alone! And the carne asada was of really good quality, and there was so much EVERYTHING in my nachos!! So I quickly got on Yelp and looked up someplace where I could at least get some decent tacos. This place jumped out at me. I arrived about 9:30 PM or so. Place was quiet and clean. I thought maybe they had cleaned up and were closing. Young man comes out of the back and I ordered some pastor tacos. Let me tell you. They were delicious... the meat was tender, cut the right size, flavorful. The tortillas were warm, soft and flavorful. The radishes, the salsas... it was all just lovely. I had my four tacos and a Topo Chico and then had about a 10 minute conversation with Sergio the owner. And heard the story of how this restaurant has gone from his uncle to his dad and now to him. I have lived in this area for more than 25 years . A lot of places here come and go . A lot of the time , they fall short . I'm so glad we stopped here the other night . Picking up my daughter , who is vegetarian from an evening out , after 1 am , we stopped in . This place is right near my house . They made an awesome carne asada fry , without the carne . It was spectacular and huge . She shared it with me . The fries had a crisp to them the toppings were generous and the salsas on the side were wonderful . Sent my husband there tonight , after we had such a busy day . My checo burrito was very good . I had chicken as my protein - deliciously seasoned , tender and slow cooked chicken .
