A hidden gem of a restaurant and incredibly deserving of five stars. If I could give them more stars, I would. Upon walking in I was greeted by a kind and attentive server. She immediately brought me water and a menu. She also graciously answered my questions on different soup bases and ensured my glass of ice cold water was refilled consistently throughout the meal. I ended up ordering the agedashi tofu appetizer and the soft shell crab udon for my entree. The tofu appetizer was a perfect way to start off my meal - lightly fried, and served with delicious sauce. My entree came shortly after. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the portion was well worth the price, and the soft shell crab packed the entire dish with flavor. The interior is cozy and they have limited seating. I'm excited to return and try all the other udon options!

If you want enjoy authentic Japanese food, you will love circle noodle. When I saw the reviews, I was a bit swayed but wanted to try this place anyways since I truly enjoy circle sushi and circle sushi h. The food did not disappoint. The agedashi tofu's broth was so flavorful and the tofu batter was new. The tofu's texture was good. The shrimp tempura was so good. The quality of the shrimp is good. The broth for the udon was light, yet VERY flavorful. The beef was super tender. The ambiance is very cozy and the service was fast considering we were first. If you are in the area and are looking for yummy lunch please go here. Next time we will come in again and order more tempura bc it's so addicting!

Este lugar me hace sentir como en casa de mi abuela, la comida,el ambiente del lugar y el servicio al cliente son cosas muy importantes las cuales ellos tienen.

Back again for lunch. It did not disappoint! We got the udon with assorted vegetables and gyoza.

We had high hopes for Circle Noodle. The Zenbu Udon, which comes with everything, looked kinda meh. It came with a bunch of different types of karaage, which were a bit bland and not worth it. The udon was bland as well. They were understaffed, which made ordering and getting our food take a long time. For the two of us, it took over an hour to order and eat our food. I'd stick with their more traditional udon noodles rather than their karaage ones.

Cozy hidden Japanese udon restaurant in Roswell. At first I thought it was something like Marugame udon but it's not. They offer more than the traditional udon, but fusion dishes. Love the cold Bukkake udon in Japanese styles. This one is very refreshing and comforting especially in the summer. Cold udon just done right, cold and chewy. Pescatore is a modern fusion Italian seafood udon. Interesting but I guess it's my least favor. The homemade tomato sauce can be a little thicker and umami to bring out the flavor. Also the udon is overcooked, it became too soft and loose the al dente. Assorted tempuras are standard. I like all assorted vegetables and shrimp tempuras. Purple Kari Kari gyozas are something not so usual. Purple cabbage with ground pork, nicely wrapped and fried.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was well balanced and cooked properly. Unless you are familiar with Japanese or Japanese fusion cuisine, this place may seem bland or just "okay"...but then all Japanese cuisine should be boring to you. Their dishes are about balance and simplicity of flavors. Proper cooking/prepping techniques...Nothing will be overly salted or packed full of spices and heat...you're not going to leave overly stuffed and needing a nap. That is the point of the cuisine-balance and attention to details. The place was clean and wait staff was attentive. The AC was not able to keep up with the heat of the day and all the heat from cooking-that was my only negative about the place. The Tempura was crispy and the batter was super light. Shrimp and crab were fresh-not briny at all. The okra was our favorite, but the squash and eggplant weren't too far behind. Kakuni Udon-The pork belly is braised until it basically falls apart, the broth is slightly smokey and slightly sweet...noodles were cooked perfectly. Pescatore-All of the seafood was fresh, the sauce was light but packed with flavor. Veggies were tender and soaked up the broth...This was probably my favorite dish in terms of flavor and variety over the course of eating it. Zenbu Udon-Simple and understated. This dish isn't going to wow you or punch you in the face with flavor. The ingredients are as they should be, so if you are looking for a break from all the spice and heat and just want to enjoy simplicity-this is your udon. Dumplings were cooked properly and the chili oil that came along side it was not a variety I'd had before, but ended up getting more and ate it with everything else. This veggie dumpling was a nice break from the meat filled dumplings we are so used to eating. Little on the plain side-but I enjoyed them.

***FOOD: Great Food. Tasty & Different. Soft Shell Crab-absolutely amazing, Chicken Cutlet Don (Oyako Don)- just the way I remember it when I was young juicy chicken over rice with sauce & mixed in egg major comfort food moment, zenbu-delish, purple kari kari gyoza - this was a little different for us but it was good-ok, hanjuku tomago tempura - so light and mouthwateringly good ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $ $ mains from $12-16 Ok cost ***DÉCOR: wood everywhere, very japanese homey feel, accent with circle art ***SERVICE: older lady server, attentive and friendly, food came out pretty fast ***RECOMMEND: Would Recommend and would definitely go back if we're in the area

Def was worth the trek for us from ITP for some solid udon. Reminds me of udon from Japan actually! -Purple Kari Kari Gyoza: really unique and on the soft side on the inside -Zaru Inaniwa Udon: perfect dish for the summer! The Inaniwa udon was a great texture, consistency, and thinness! -Assorted tempura: solid, standard tempura -Niku udon: this was a huge portion! Beef was tender and the flavor was clean

Absolutely my favorite Japanese noodle shop in the whole state of Georgia! From the delicious consistent authentic Japan dishes to the impeccable and accommodating wait service this place is a 10/10. The lady who works there is so nice and knows me everytime when I come in and makes me feel like family. It gets quite busy on the weekends and they are only open for lunch so better get there early. The ambiance is very pleasant and it's a great place to go for lunch with friends or alone you will never leave hungry and without spending an arm and a leg.

The only problem about this amazing small restaurant is that they are not open 24/7! It's great, the food is amazing, the lady hosting and serving is the kindest, what else?? Oh yes, prices are absolutely fair! This is true food! Authentic Japanese! Here are some more pics! Give Circle Noodle a try you won't regret it!

I got the nabeyaki udon with vegetable tempura The vegetable tempura was disappointing. I received it hot but it wasn't crunchy. The batter was bland and was heavy so I tasted more batter than the vegetables. The veggies were pumpkin, sweet potato, and jalapeños/peppers. All of the veggies under the batter were bland as well. As time went by the batter tasted really oily and soggy. It put a bad taste in my mouth and put in a bad mood when the udon came. However, the udon's broth was light and flavorful. Nothing special about the noodles- it's as it should be. The broth was the highlight of the udon. Comes in a pot with some chicken pieces, mushroom, spinach, and poached egg.

Delicious and very good customer service.

    Are they closed permanently?

No! But their hours have changed and are somewhat limited.

    Where are the noodles made?

The udon noodles are made in-house.

Are reservations recommended? How is the wait on the weekend?

I think they do take reservations. We went on a Saturday at 5:00 and it wasn't busy, but the place became full within the hour. However, that's not hard to do because it's a small place.

Do they serve beer or sake?

the resturant is byob, theyll provide glasses and bottle openers

Are there any vegan options @Circle Noodle? I so hope so!

They use fish broth in all their ramen bowls. :-(

Are there any gluten-free items on the menu? (question for a friend)

I think there are very few gluten-free items since most of Circle Noodle's menu is comprised of udon. Udon is a wheat flour noodle. You might be able to eat some of their apps like agedashi tofu or edadame, but it'd be difficult to get full from… Read more

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.

This location useds to be a "fish bowl" restaurant & the OG Thai house location was on roswell rd near a laundromat. Since the pandemic I haven't been able to go till this weekend. I was honestly so excited because I missed their food so much. I am always creature of habit so my go to dish was always Pad See U. I saw so many people at the restaurant so I had high hopes. While, the food wasn't bad. I will say it is NOT AUTHENTIC. They changed the chef and I could tell immediately by the taste of the food. This was not the same person or the same flavors. Wallet it wasn't completely terrible. I don't think I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for Thai food specifically. I wouldn't call this a Thai house or any Thai restaurant. We ordered from the Thai menu and the Chinese menu. The general tsao's chicken was the wrong color of chicken. Usually this chicken is a darker brown color and a more richer flavor. This tasted like a really bad sesame chicken. It really lacked flavor and it was more on the sour side. Another item we ordered was pad see u, which is from the Thai Menu. The noodles when it came out, wasn't the correct color which meant it lacked the correct seasoning. The noodles Itself was so salty and no other flavor, but the eggs were so sweet. This used to be my favorite dish at the restaurant along with the Tom Yum soup. It was from eating the soup. I knew the chef was not cooking Thai cuisine. While it didn't taste bad it also wasn't good. I ordered Tom Yum, but I got a soup that tasted like Gaeng Nor Mai Som. Which is a soup from Laos. Which has Tamarid in it. I could definitely taste that tamarin flavor. Well, Tom yum is a little bit sour. It's from lime juice. Tamarid just has such a distinct flavor, which I don't hate, but that's not what I ordered. Out of curiosity, we asked the server where the chef was from. The chef was from Laos. Again, I have nothing against Laos cuisine. I actually quite enjoy laos cuisine it except it wasn't what I wanted to eat. I wanted Thai food! The chef didn't have to be from Thailand. They just needed to cook proper Thai food. And obviously Chinese food because that was low-key worse than panda express. It was my fault for ordering samosas at a "Thai" restaurant, but my mom wanted samosas. I don't think I need to explain the authenticity because they don't even look like traditional Samosa, But my mom did enjoy it. The spring rolls were edible, but they weren't spring roll filling. It was more like an eggroll filling. There was just straight up, cabbage in it. Normally eggrolls, have cabbage and pork. Spring rolls have veggie and sometimes the glass noodles and carrots. This was a big bite of fried cabbage rolls in my opinion. If you're looking for a Asian restaurant with an identity crisis, this is a great place to go to! The only thing authentically Thai was the Thai tea. Would I come back here again probably not but like I said it wasn't terrible. Just It just wasn't authentic or even remotely close to the original flavor this restaurant had.

I appreciated that the onions were finely diced and uniform, it may seem like a small detail, but it made each bite clean and balanced. Not a single bite was chewy, which really speaks to the care in preparation.
