Koko's is a small sushi restaurant, and a pleasure to visit. The menu has a good selection of plates of which some are themed with humoristic names. The venue provides with absolutely fantastic and high-quality japanese flavors. The incredients are fresh, and the friendly chefs know the proper techniques; yet the price tag won't be extraordinarily high. This place is definitely worth visiting again.

Delicious tasting sushi. The sushi is reasonably priced and the hot tea is good. The fish on the sushi is fresh. The rice is well cooked. I recommend coming here if you are craving some good sushi.

The best sushi you'll ever have. Please please come here. Get to know the wonderful chefs and owners. This place is amazing.

So, I just don't normally hand out 5 star ratings, but this little place has become one of the most underrated places to get sushi that I have gone to. It is truly and consistently amazing to the point where I eat 3-4 meals a week there. The other thing to note here is that when I first started going here, I had a lot of friends who didn't like it. Apparently something changed right about that time because now every single friend I have, many who don't even like Sushi, love this place. Some of the additional recommendations I have are: Golden Bridge Roll -- Spicy tuna with Unagi and Avocado -- hands down my favorite roll. Korean Charishi -- I don't know if I spelled that right and I don't care. This is one of those ones you just have to try to love. Yaki noodles w/seafood -- OMG just...OMG. For lunch, any of the boxes are a great deal, but the Sushi/Sashimi boat takes the prize.

Now this is the mac-daddy of Sushi rolls. Fresh, and always fun at the Sushi bar. You absolutely have to try some of their special rolls. Not the fastest place on the planet but, did you really come to a Sushi bar in a hurry?

Wow I can't believe this is in my general vicinity and I haven't been here before. They have been here 13 years. Where have I been? We had the ST coconut, double spice tuna, JD roll, jiggy roll, edamame, yellowtail appetizer, chicken fried rice. It was so good!!! My favorite was the ST coconut. My husbands was the double spice tuna. We WILL be back!

It's a small restaurant but the nostalgia of the interior cannot be denied. And it turned out some of the staff are from Hawaii too so it just adds to the warm, friendly atmosphere you can expect from a place like this. As for the food, just as good and impressive. My dad and I had their chirashi or rice with different seafood varieties and my mom had one of their teishoku or combination plates. They said it's a sushi restaurant but I guarantee they have more than that at Tanaka. If you decide to try it, which I recommend you do, call and make a reservation because unfortunately you can't do it online and it's a small restaurant so it's better to call ahead of time anyway. Once you try this terrific restaurant, it's worth it!

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.

When I first had their ramen that's all I could think about when we visited Atl. I asked for spicy Sichuan pepper sauce on side and all it was doing with a tiny bit in my ramen was making my tongue tingle the whole time. It kind of ruined my appetite. I had this better and not sure why that happened. I was charged extra without being informed of this and I gave her the whole sauce back after telling the server about this. I just like being informed of what I will be charged extra for, that's all. Anyways, overall did not appreciate this location at all.

The short, thin hostess at the front repeatedly rolled her eyes behind our backs while seating us. He checked on nearly every table around us multiple times but rarely came by ours. We ordered over $150 worth of food for just the two of us, yet received very little service. Despite that, we still left a 20% tip. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing as well. A lot of the food arrived cold.
