Our second time here for BOGO tacos on Tuesday. Rating goes from five stars to two (from last visit). The traditional Guacamole and chips were delicious, as were the tacos. Issues this visit were - - our second glass of wine came in a champagne flute. Sabrina, our server, said they were out of wine glasses. Seriously? There were only approx. 12 patrons in the restaurant, and none of them within view were drinking wine. The flute, in our estimate had 3-4 oz. of wine vs. the traditional of 6-7 oz. We asked for another glass, which Sabrina brought at no add'l charge. But let's face it, what bar serves wine in a flute glass vs. a high ball, or their plastic water glasses? Sabrina offered us a $5 discount on our check if we immediately gave a five star rating on Google. Sorry, that turned us off even more, and obviously didn't want to leave a false review. On our way home, we both noticed we smelled horribly of grease. Don't wear any fancy clothes there. Even my hair smells of grease as I type this. After this experience, I don't think we'll be going back. Plenty of other restaurants to explore. read more

We recently dined at Cisco for the first time. The food was fresh and well presented. Service and ambiance were fine. The menu is mostly tacos. If you're craving an enchilada, tostada, burrito, or chili verde no bueno. Prices are a little high for what you get. The bill for our party of three with only one beer and soft drinks was $90 with tip. They charge for chips and salsa! Really? My gripe with Cisco is the same that I've had with all the Mexican restaurants I've tried here in Sarasota, not nearly enough seasoning especially some heat. Has no one here heard of Jalapeños and Serranos?Cilantro? We're from Southern California, where flavorful Mexican food is all over the place. Come on Sarasota, let's get on the flavor train of Mexican cuisine. read more

This was a fun spot to grab a quick bite. Convenient to the parking garage. The place has high ceilings and open seating area. Kitchen tucked behind the window with a take out station too. Fresh prepared craft cocktail concoctions. Infused juice, nuts and fresh herbs were being prepared as we looked over the menu. It was early and due to the colder weather they were expecting a crowd for the bourbon and whiskey drinks. We ordered three tacos. The Cuban, Mongolian beef and Korean Pork. I got the Cuban with the lettuce wrap instead of the hand made corn tortilla (flour is also offered). The tacos are full! The kimchi was homemade and yummy. Also ordered the goat cheese gaucamole. The chips are homemade. I had the bourbon raspberry cocktail. The juice was fresh and I could taste the bourbon on the end. Fyi - They are measured pours. Place was quiet but I imagine for the dinner crowd it may be loud. We'll be back. I recommend trying it. read more

First time going to Circo. We ordered for pickup. We had a pretty large order- 2 Queso Funditos, 5 Gringos, 2 Mongolian, 2 Angus, 1 Buffalo, and 1 Korean. Got the order home and unpacked only to find that they charged our entire order but left out 5 tacos. 1 taco, maybe 2 is understandable but 5?!?!?!?! We called and had to go all the way back which was super inconvenient and costly too with gas prices as they are. The queso was decent- nice flavor but it was tiny and barely had any chorizo. The chips were mostly quite hard- like they were stale or something... some were ok though so odd??? Not worth the expense. The Mongolian and Angus were awesome. Small and very little meat in any of them but really tasty. Sad because they are 5-7$ for most each. Korean was good too. We didn't try the Gringos but our family seemed happy with them. Would've been a higher rating if they hadn't seriously messed up our order and dinner as we always like to eat together as a family. Id say worth a try but their foul up was super annoying. May have something from them again if we are in the area but their lack of caring and error were very disappointing- especially for a first experience there............. read more

Let's start with the good Margaritas = Delicious 10/10 The Goat Cheese Guac= 10/10 But the food was not great at all 3/10 I ordered 4 tacos and the best one was the Gringo taco everything else had 0 flavor just a lot of toppings The waiter was not great never suggested anything and took super long to check on the table to the point we didn't even know he was our waiter. We won a catered dinner in our home at a bid and buy at a fund raiser. We increased the number, paid the difference, which was reasonable and held the event in our home Saturday night. It was amazing! The food was spectacular and Stephanie, the chef was fantastic. Gary, the assistant was wonderful as well. I can't say enough about how good every item on the menu was and Stephanie and Gary were great. They were personable, funny and on top of serving our guest. The entire evening was wonderful. Don't listen to the bad reviews. I went here with a friend yesterday on BOGO Wednesday and we had a great experience. Our drinks were great. The service was fast. The atmosphere was perfect. I got the jalapeño marg and she got the mango one, both were soooo good. I got the bogo thai shrimp tacos which were awesome and super tasty. They were tangy, spicy, crunchy, and creamy all in one bite. The mango salsa was also very good, hitting different flavor profiles too. Our waitress, Meagan was super sweet!
