I haven't stepped foot into CCircus in maybe 20 yrs to be honest. I came w an out of town Vegas visitor bc I told here it probably wont be here for much longer. We got a players card and both won a stuffed animal at one of the horse racing old school games. We caught a couple short acrobat act/balancing clown type act. It was pretty dead inside but mainly parents w some kids etc. Went over into the "Slots of Fun" old school coin operated slot machined but we both lost so we left lol. Overall it just felt old and misty and we prob washed our hands 7x in an hour bc even the slot coins turned ur hands dirty. It was an experience but I wont be rushing to go back for any reason. The staff were nice and hooked us up w one of each color tier empty blank players card so we could collect and frame it for memorabilia. read more

Walked through Circus Circus hotel and it did feel quite old. They have a free show near their casino area, but I was not able to make it to see it. We were here the weekend of the "When We Were Young" festival, so a lot of punk people were staying here. I have also heard this hotel is haunted. I wonder if there would be a way to keep the vintage feel of the hotel without redoing it, Vegas needs to keep variety in their casinos and not every resort needs to look extravagantly wealthy. read more

The elevator system was horrible, you wait for the car it tells you but it's full when you get there. We have had to wait for the 3rd attempt before we could get on. They only give you 3 towels and you have to call housekeeping to bring more, I had to call twice before I got any. Also no coffee in the room and no fridge or microwave. read more

All I can say is damn. Circus Circus was a hotel experience I wanted to share with my kids, and dang, it just did not live up to the memories. We got in after a 7.5 hour travel day hoping to unwind and get to sleep for our 1 night stay. After setting up our room we attempted to give our daughter a bath however the tub would not drain and upon further investigation, the drain was clogged with mold and hair. We called maintenance to get it fixed however they said it would take at least 45 minutes for someone to come fix it (they would get there around 10:30pm at night at the earliest and we had to put our 1.5 year old to bed.) We called again in the morning and ended up letting housekeeping know when they came by while we were getting ready to check out. We attempted to talk to the front desk upon checkout to see about getting a partial refund since we were unable to bath/shower in a moldy bathroom and the only attempt to fix it was extremely late at night for a child. Marjorie was at the front desk and told us it was our fault for not allowing them to fix the issue (at 10:30 or later) and we would get no compensation. DO NOT STAY AT CIRCUS CIRCUS. I took my son here for his 21st birthday. It certainly has gone down-hill since mine. The game staff were sweet and helpful but the gentleman at the front desk, when we went to get our players card, was the rudest human we met in our six days in Vegas. Name started with a "T". He couldn't be bothered. CERTAINLY not a "customer service" guy. Maybe put him on toilets? My son and I walked away from the counter with our jaws on the floor. I was trying to make my best friend's birthday trip as easy as possible for all of us. The last few times we've been to Vegas we stayed pretty far from anything, so I got us a room at Circus Circus thinking it would be fun to see a classic hotel, play games, etc. This hotel is disgusting. Everything is broken, shut down, trashed, has bugs, or the staff is weirdly aggressive for no reason. There were roaches in our room that I took pictures of. The hotel staff gave zero f*cks. They said we should have "changed rooms, that isn't our fault." I said, "go to a different room with more roaches?" she said "you don't know that!", I said "I do know that, and so do you, that isn't how roaches work." I sent the pictures of the BUGS IN OUR ROOM to management and received no response from anyone. Dirty Room & Poor Customer Service We stayed in the West Tower Nov 2-8 2025 and were very disappointed. The bathroom floor had hair and dirt when we checked in, proving it hadn't been cleaned. When I showed photos to the front desk, the employee offered no apology--just two choices: move rooms or wait for housekeeping. Around midnight, someone came and cleaned only the bathroom floor. Later we found black hair on the other bed, stains on the ceiling, and dirt on the desk. Another guest in our group had used toilet paper in his toilet on check-in. Elevators were dirty too. The beds were comfortable, but overall the hotel felt unclean and poorly maintained. We won't stay at Circus Circus again. read more

Great improv date night with bf. Spent about $50 and 2 hours of entertainment. We played multiple games our favorite is the horse racing carnival game. We had so much fun with about 8 other people at the game. We played ddr, skee ball, basket ball, and many more. We also watched a few circus acts. I was lead to believe that the newly renovated west tower wasn't as bad as people were claiming the hotel was, and I decided to give it a chance against my better judgement. From the second I walked in and smelt the air that filled the lobby I should have trusted my gut that was telling me to just leave. To be fair, the women working the kiosks were quite nice, and I won't fault them for taking a job with such a crappy hotel to make income, everyone needs to be paid, especially in this economy. However I wish better for them in life considering whatever diseases are running through the circulation system in that hotel shouldn't be inhaled long term. I was switched to 3 different rooms during my stay because each room I was put into was somehow worse than the last. 1st room had food caked onto the desk and glitter on the floor from the last visitor. 2nd room had stains on the bed linens & a plastic bag over the shower head, which the manager was "shocked" because the rooms are thoroughly cleaned (luckily the circus acts are more believable than the response to that hotel room). He then graciously let me know that i was put into a "deluxe room" at "no extra charge" (what a gentleman) but, who would have guessed it, again wasn't cleaned. BUT WAIT THERES MORE! To top off my deluxe palace luxury suite having dirt all over the floor and towels that looked like one of the clowns used it to wash off their makeup after a late night with a meth pipe, when we pulled back the comforter to inspect further, there were more stains and strands of human hair all over the sheets (YUM!). The hotel was an abomination. I went to the front desk to cancel my reservation and the paid clown that worked at the front desk, really fitting into the part of the hotel theme, was refusing the refund and kept reciting the same script of the "72hr policy". I asked her to stop repeating her scripted lines unless they were going to let me know about the policy where I'm forced to sleep in a hazmat zone. She again said that they would either give me another room (that I can only assume Ray Charles himself cleaned if you could walk out of any of my previous rooms thinking that it was sanitary), or not give me a refund for the night. I told her I was going to just dispute it with my credit card and move on, which she was visibility not pleased with. I ended up staying at the Conrad because i would have rather chewed on the glass pipe that the homeless person in the lobby was using than sleep in any room of that hotel. Train your staff better, train your housekeepers better, and seek help from god for the sins you allow by scamming people into thinking this place is nothing more than a cheap crack motel. If i could give 0 stars, I would. But I guess my 1 star will go to the innocent people who will suffer from mesothelioma from having to work in a place like that to make ends meet and the very entertaining performance by the meth heads smoking in the parking lot mixed with the people getting arrested in the valet drop off. read more

Old Vegas Charm on the Casino Floor, but Rooms Leave a Lot to Be Desired We picked Circus Circus mainly for convenience since the rest of our party was at Resorts World, and it's also close to Fontainebleau. Price-wise, it was "cheap," which worked since our wives weren't joining and we really just needed a place to crash. That being said, the room itself wasn't great. The floor was dirty, and the bathroom/shower didn't feel very clean either. We barely spent any time in the room, which helped, but I can definitely see why the hotel's ratings are on the lower side. On the plus side, walking through the old-school casino was a fun throwback, and the indoor amusement park is still a unique Vegas experience. Bottom line: If you're on a tight budget and plan to use the room only for sleep, it's tolerable. But if you need comfort or plan to spend any real time in the room, you'll want to look elsewhere. read more

4 star for the room rate on a Saturday night, $101. Other hotels on the strip are $300+ so pay the extra or don't complain. Yes, the hotel is dated but it was a great price. It was a long walk to the popular hotels on the strip so next time I will drive and park at Cesar's then walk the strip. It's self check in so have your ID ready. I was in the Skyrise tower. Elevators are a mess and require cards. Each elevator is for certain floors and the elevators fill quickly. I waited 5 minutes for one so it's hit and miss. Again, $100 bucks a night so don't expect it to be the Wynn. I loved the clown act and the acrobatic women show in the midway for FREE. Update: after staying at Planet Hollywood I was charged $20 for parking and $62 for hotel resort. Circus Circus did not have these fees. Also, I was not bite by any bed bugs. read more

They have gotten rid of people at their check in counters and have used machines to automate check ins. What a mess! It was incredible frustrating and half the people checking in were having issues. Our check in took over half an hour. The guy who was at the automated machines were directing people to machines but wasn't much help if there was a problem. Then we were directed to wait for a person to help us in the end anyways. We were finally helped by a very overworked but nice lady named Anna. Rooms are updated and large but could be cleaner. There was dirt behind side tables and under chair. Stains and dried mystery things on wallpaper in the bath room. The hallways need a good vacuum too. Prices for rooms are deceptively cheap but there's a $40 resort fee. The only thing good about the hotel is that it's on the strip and there's a monorail nearby if you don't want to Uber. I suggest parking at the hotel and ubering around. Other hotels charge for parking at the same price or more than uber. read more

Service is great. Our bellman who took our bags from the room to our car at check out a great guy. I didn't get his name but he said he'd been working there for 40 years. As far as the rooms, you get what you pay for. The age and patina show, but they're clean. The location is on the north end of the strip and that makes it easy on traffic. The place opened in 1968 and even though much has been updated, nothing has been removed. It's very cool to see old stuff that's been covered up and not in use anymore. The carousel bar is an excellent example. If you have young kids with you, this is the place. There is plenty of stuff for them to do. read more

Solid two stars. I would say this is comparable to a budget motel. The room we were in was in the West Tower. The room was aged and is in need of modernization. The room decor is all over the place, everything seems to be mismatched. The beds are pretty soft and the air systems is moderately noisy. As far as cleanliness, this room is in need of a deep cleaning. The one thing that bothered us the most was the smell of smoke and mold. Although, the room isn't ideal, many families stay here for the circus midway. I will have to say all the staff in the game/kids area were very friendly. Realistically I would say a kid can go through about $20 per half hour on games, so be realistic about the cost of keeping the kids entertained. If you're on a budget just remember you get what you pay for! read more

I love this place. The water slides were closed for "maintenance" and they said that it wouldn't be open for another while, but they weren't working on them at all? The customer service is alright, a bit aggressive but the midway workers are very, VERY, nice. Phone operator was a bit rude, some workers were impatient. Good is great, especially the pizza at the 777 cafe. Bed are fairly comfortable, and AC worked very good. TV had this weird thing where I couldn't connect a fire stick, though. Very annoying, but the cable isn't bad so. Pool is big and fun, good for kids. Adventuredome is always fun too. Wish water slides were closed, but, other than that great experience. I stayed in the Skyrise Tower on the 23rd floor. The room was great, but everything else was like trying to find something on a large cruise ship. The self parking garages have very tight spaces, but it's free. Once I got to the hotel lobby for check-in, I was surprised to find about 15 kiosks with one employee answering questions and assisting. When my kiosk assigned my room, it flashed it briefly, then produced my room key. The employee had to look up my reservation and write my room# on a piece of paper. THEN she produced a map and began explaining how I would get to my room. Take this elevator to the 2nd floor, then walk all the way around past all the rides and shops to locate the elevators for the Skyrise Tower. They could use customer input on improving that experience. All in all, it was worth the low rate they charge. read more

I know Circus Circus gets a bad rep, but honestly--for what you're paying, I love it compared to other hotels on the Strip. I stay here every time I come to Vegas because let's face it--you're really just in the room to sleep. The perks? Free parking (and plenty of it), clean rooms, and working AC every time I've stayed. Yes, there are some downsides: no fridge in the room unless you pay extra, the elevators can be slow with long lines, and there's no fancy hotel bar like other Vegas spots. It's also a bit farther from the main action on the Strip. But for the price--and $5 or $10 blackjack tables--you really can't beat it. Condition of rooms-they were awful...the bathtub didn't drain & I woke up with bed bug bites. Bathroom was dated, wallpaper peeling off walls, corners and front of sink were dusty. The cement "decorations" over the window that looked out on the roof couldn't be up to any type of code. The hotel was very dated. Every Uber driver we had commented on the hotel and that it is well known to have bed bugs. Also, if you want a fridge in your room you have to pay an additional cost per night. This is a pretty fun place to gamble, I liked the casino $3 games which are pretty easy to find. They even have some $1 games like roulette or blackjack if you look carefully or get lucky at the right time when it's not too busy. The midway games are also a big draw, if you prefer the carnival fun. The circus acts were just OK. I saw an older guy doing magic tricks which seemed like a warm up act, but nothing to spend too much time watching. Avoid the Slots O Fun in my opinion, as it was fairly run down but they did have some interesting coin slots. Circus Circus also has free parking with no time limits which is also great. read more

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we watched a circus show. Upstairs is also the arcade and game area with a ton of stuff for kids to do (did not have the kids with us though). The games have higher quality prizes than you normally find at an arcade and some are really easy to win. The casino area had a lot of slots. Circus Circus really had its golden days back in the 80s and 90s. It used to feel like a real circus experience, not just a theme. The live trapeze acts right in the middle of the casino, the neon lights, and the loud, playful midway games made it so unique especially for families. It was one of the few places in Vegas where kids and adults could both have fun. I wish they'd bring back more of that old Vegas charm daily circus performances, fun energy, and family-friendly fun at affordable prices. We were concerned about booking a room due to some of the bad reviews, but we got a great deal for a one night weeknight stay! The room was clean and we had a good night's rest in a spacious room in the West tower. My only gripe was that I had a hard time finding my room because there was no clear sign that showed my room number (88--) right off of the elevator so I went for a while down the wrong corridor to the old section. A little annoying when you're tired and have bags to lug around. Apart from that, I have no complaints. It's nice to have an affordable option on the Vegas strip with free parking and hotel services such as restaurants and mini-market. Just know that it's a bare bones room - no in-room coffee service, no lotion, toiletry kits or fridge. Ours didn't even have a folding luggage holder, haha.
