I explained to Dr Eber I didn't have time today for X-rays but the hygienist refused to perform a cleaning. He didn't act as he was the doctor, the hygienist called the shots. Welcome to corporate dentistry. He just lost 4 patients who used to have respect for him. I'll look for another independent dentist.

I met him at Quality Dentures in Palatka less than a year ago where he worked. When I asked "The Smile Resort" why he is listed as their dentist on their website, the lady said "because he had worked there for a long time." This information does not add up and appears to be misleading. If you are looking for a dental office that at least seems to care about you as a potential customer/patient, steer clear. The receptionist was very nasty and who knows what doctors actually work there since I was told Dr. Zimmerman does not and he is the first doctor that shows up on their website. Attached is a photo of a dental treatment plan created by Dr. Zimmerman on June 20, 2024 as a dentist for Palatka - Quality Dentures and Implants which, by the way, has changed names to "Harbour Dental" in order to avoid providing paid in full dentures to several patients (steer clear of that office too and look for my review to explain why). So how has Dr. Zimmerman worked for "The Smile Resort" for "a long time" if he provided a dental treatment plan from another dental office less than a year ago, hmmm? Myself and my girl friend has had terrible experiences at 4 Florida dental practices so far. Soooo sad. We have lost time, money, and most importantly have fallen victim to very bad dental recommendations that will result in very expensive dental solutions. Do your research and get several recommendations before any dental choice you need to make. Do everything you can to save teeth and prevent letting them take the fast, easy money and pulling teeth leaving you with the only option of implants or dentures. Please note, I fully support Dr. Zimmerman from the little experience that I had with him and this should not reflect on him in any way. Also note (to be perfectly fair) Yelp would not let me remove "oh no, what could improve?" "Type of care" or "care quality". I only had a bad 3xperience with the receptionist tone and attitude over the phone when I was initially very nice and respectful, complimenting Dr. Zimmerman. After the woman's rude tone persisted, I let her know just how unprofessional and disrespectful her tone was and someone made a mistake letting her be the point of contact with an attitude like that taking calls as a representative of their company. That is why this review has been posted.

On 2/6 around 9am, I contacted The dental office to relay information from my insurance company to…read moreresubmit the claim. because we have two ins carriers, there is an order in which they should be submitted...The Receptionist lost her cool after I told her and I won't be able to pay the 1700 bill & the insurance will cover it. My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. As soon as I resolve the matter, I will be transferring our 4 sets of dental records elsewhere. There is no way I can ignore that type of abuse and continue to bring my family there for dental services. I went into the office the following morning Because I didn't want to chance not making progress By getting Mrs Lee ( obviously who she is because she is sooooo mad) on the phone with all that yelling and no listening. I was able to speak to a different representative who canceled all future appointments and also had called and received the information I was trying to relay. Let me mention, that throughout my conversation with the other young lady, the Asian lady kept jumping up to bring me policies, and to tell me she isn't listening to me because I don't pay my bills, and how she's sending me to collections. I told her to send it. If that's your job, do it. In the meantime I'll be getting someone else to pay this bill- the insurance company). I'm not new to this, I know all of my responsibilities, rights, laws, credit and all. You'll get paid. I'll remove your bad mark. Wala! Everyone will be happy. Well, I don't know about you. You're mean. She also wanted me to say thank you, and I Obliged. Sorry for the delay; however, someone needs to have a serious talk with her-even though we all know she won't listen- or doesn't have to listen, but try some water yoga or meditation bc she went berserk on the phone and in person. From the moment I arrived, it felt like the staff was more focused on collecting my deductible before the procedure than on making me feel comfortable or cared for as a patient. The first extraction was acceptable, but during the second one, everything felt rushed. There was very little patience or compassion, and I never felt that my comfort was a priority. What bothered me the most was being repeatedly told to open my mouth wider when I had already reached my physical limit. Instead of showing understanding, I felt pressured and dismissed. Dental procedures can be stressful, and patients deserve to be treated with professionalism, empathy, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
