Been here numerous times. The food is good and the service is typically good as well. However, I'm quite tired of having a reservation only to have to wait in a crowd for 20-30 minutes for an available table. Last night we were the last party to be called from this crowd even though we walked in 5 minutes before our reservation. Is this "call ahead waiting" or are reservations to be honored? Ordered dinner to be picked up - 1/2 caesar salad & entree of Baby clams in white wine butter sauce with angel hair pasta. We have dined here in the past. This was the most horrible & lacking dish. A small bunch of the tiniest clams, no bigger than a fingernail in a shell, angel hair pasta & water from steaming the clams-- and a shake of dried parsley. no butter white wine sauce no flavor,no taste -- nothing!! I see what is happening in the food industry today,you end up with inedible food once you arrive home. If I was dining in - house that dish would have been returned to the kitchen. ASAP! Wonderful dinner and service. Even on a busy evening, I called ahead and they were able to seat us at a hightop table near the front of the bar entrance. I knew I was a little underdressed, but they did not seem to mind. It was a last minute decision when we were driving through the area and felt welcomed! The atmosphere was true to Italian ambiance, variety was wonderful, flavors exquisite! Wine selections and drinks were satisfying. We had a reservation for 6:00 today, got there early, and just left 45 minutes later because I'm not confident in their ability to deliver quality service tonight. This is an update on a previous review. Last night my daughter had a 6:00 pm reservation. She was seated a half hour after the reservation time. The waiter took 20 minutes to get drinks,, a beer and two glasses of house wine.. Didn't get food until after 7:30. Waiter tried to make a joke about ordering right away. The food is good, not anything special by any means. Especially galling when on a previous visit she was asked to leave after 2 hours to keep other reservations on time. Under those circumstances, she would have had to leave before paying. This restaurant have difficulty if there was any good Italian restaurants in the area. Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. But truly the highlight of our night was Alex serving the dessert bar. He is only 16 but can sell ice cubes to Eskimos. He's passionate about his job and loves the owners and his mom. This kid needs to be the face and spokesman for Ciro. We will return just because of him!! read more

I am not local to the area, but am here almost monthly for work for one night and you can always find me dining on the food at Ciro's - I often take out, but it's always delicious- save room for the fresh gelato!! Tonight while my food was great (as always) the service was less than usual, so I am leaving this review as a shout out to the bartender and owner who made it right for me as I left. Can't wait to go back - just shared with the nice man in the elevator that he should eat at Ciro's tomorrow!! Six of us went to have dinner at the restaurant. The ambiance is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The service is impeccable, fast and precise. I saved the best for last, the food is absolutely amazing. I had baby clams and angel hair pasta, my husband had sausage and peppers. We had egg plant rollatini for appetizers, they were delicious. For dessert I had tiramisu with marscapone, my husband had peanut butter gelato made on premise. I was pleasantly full when we left. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Went in September. We loved it. I'll use the menu to refresh my memory on what we ordered. The service was great--the waiter was a funny college kid. I can't find the menu online, so all we can go with is my knowledge that my family all enjoyed their meals. More likely than not, I got a shrimp dish. Got to the restaurant and was seated right away. I am a diabetic and ordered the chicken parm because they had a small menu of entrees, no veal or eggplant parm. You get no salad and everything is extra. My chicken parm came with spaghetti and I asked the waitress is it ok to have string beans instead and I was told it would be 3.00 extra. She went on to tell me the string beans cost more that the Barrillo pasta they serve. My dish came , two tiny pieces of chicken that was an inch thick and tasted like it was made the day before! Our waitress had a bad attitude, the food was over priced and was not good. The owner Tony stopped at our table and said she should have asked him. We had reservations for a Friday night at 6:30. Upon arrival there were 20+ people standing at the vestibule. We were told that the table wasn't quite ready. It was chaotic with nowhere to really sit or stand without being in the way of the bar, of servers, or standing on top of others who were already dining. We didn't get seated until 6:50. Server was friendly; we did have to wait quite a while for food to get to the table. This was our first visit - We enjoyed pasta/clams, the meatballs were good but a little too firm, the gelato was a nice ending - but it was so loud and chaotic in there, I'm not certain when we will return. read more

It was my last day in town and the girls in my family decided we needed to a day out. My SIL seems to know all of the great little places in town and Ciro's did not disappoint. All but one of us started with the Sicilian Orange Salad. Fresh mixed greens were topped with juicy sliced oranges, a light vinaigrette and uniquely wonderful candied orange peel. We all had the half salad which was a great starter for our entrees. I had the chicken caprese panini. It was a breaded chicken breast (more like a cutlet vs a chicken breast), fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and a delightfully sweet balsamic glaze. It was wonderful. After the salad, I had to take half of the panini home with me. Mom had the eggplant parm panini. She said it was very good but wouldn't get it again. The others shared a margarita pizza and a caprese salad that looked amazing. Our server was attentive though it took quite awhile to get our check. This was a great place for a girls lunch but would be equally good for a date night. Next time I'm in Lancaster, I will make sure to return. read more

Yesterday, I had a late lunch at Ciro's in Lititz. It was only my second time there, the first time there was a work lunch and this time I came with my partner who is disabled and has a service dog. Immediately when we walked in the host looked at my partner's service dog and she had that look hosts have when we are going to encounter an access issue. We asked for a table for two and the hosts eyes darted around the restaurant then asked if it was okay for us to sit outside. It was too hot of a day for either of us to sit outside with our chronic illnesses, so we said we would like to be seated inside. She said, "uh, well actually..." and I looked at my partner, around the very empty restaurant where not a single other person was sitting outside, then back at the host and she was visibly uncomfortable. She grabbed menus and rudely said, "it's fine, follow me." She sat us and Willow went under the table, settled on her mat, and stayed there the entire time we were there. The server was noticeably less friendly to us than the two parties who were seated right by us and the third party who came in and sat at one of the previously occupied tables near us. We ate our food, I went to the gelato counter and as I was walking away the server said, "I assume that'll be all for you two?" I gave a short yes, sat down, we shared our gelato and the server brought our tab and walked away. I set my card in the holder, he was walking by after checking on another table, something he didn't do once for us, and said "oh good, you're ready to pay." He took the payment, came back, set it down for me to sign and rudely said, "just to make you aware, the owner doesn't allow dogs in the restaurant but since no one is really here we let you sit inside." I just as rudely said, "and just to let you know, that's extremely illegal..." He interrupted me and said, "it's not my rule I'm just telling you how it is." I signed the slip, we left, the server told us to come back again, the host mumbled a have a good day not looking up from her phone, and we left. Willow never once got up, barked, stepped into the aisle, nothing. She didn't even have to alert (which barking is an alert task). Needless to say, we will never return. From the ignorance, to the willful disregard for the laws that protect my partner and myself, to the attitude and unfriendly service we received, this establishment is not only not disability friendly, but it is an establishment that is actively disablist. I have a retired service dog as I also have disabilities, so I can only imagine if I had a new prospect or my girl wasn't retired and we would have walked in with two dogs how we would have been treated. read more

They are no longer number 1 on my list of restaurants. For an Italian restaurant, they only have one kind of pasta, thin spaghetti. There are about 30 types of pasta and for them to have no linguine that is a sin. I'll bring them a box the next time I eat there. The menu has shrunk as well as the portion sizes. The waitstaff is not as friendly and service is much slower. The owner/manager just sits at the bar and gets drunk with the bartender. He never asks how our dinner is anymore, he probably doesnt want to know. No longer impressed with this restaurant. I called after our last dinner there and was not allowed to speak with the manager or the owner to voice my concerns at waiting 30 minutesfor someone to come to our table. Next time I want authentic Italian I'll go to Fenicci's in Hershey. Sad to see them go down hill. read more

Chicken Alfredo is not good. Runny sauce and the grilled chicken tasted burnt. If someone at the end of a meal has not touched most of the plate it's always a great idea to ask if there was something wrong. Chicken parm was good though! Sauce was also watery but cutlets were great. read more

The food here was excellent. I can be picky when it comes to Italian, so trust me when I say that. I had the chicken Marsala, which I would highly recommend. It was spaghetti and a chicken cutlet in a light, yet delicious Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms and shallots. Then for desert we had their handmade gelato. I had the butter pecan which was equally as delicious. We were seated quickly and our food came out quickly too. Everything, including the rosemary bread served, was hot, fresh, and savory. My husband and I went to Ciro's for dinner. It's been a couple of years but the food is still very good. The waitress was very nice and we got one of the booths which felt more private. I enjoyed the penne vodka and the calamari we got for an appetizer. My husband's bolognese sauce wasn't my favorite, it's a much heavier/darker meat sauce than I personally prefer. I had the Bianca pizza and would get it again and again. It was delicious!! Our waitress was very attentive and offered suggestions since it was our first time there. The tiramisu was amazing as was the gelato our friends had. The noise level was low - it was nice being able to hear friends talk to you without saying what. We loved it. read more
