Food is always good and service is always excellent. Cannoli cake is to die forrrrr me and my group of 4 enjoyed it awhile ago.

We were in Lancaster for 4th of July and stayed at Eden resort. Carrabbas was just across the road so gave it a shot. What a pleasant surprise. Reminded me of Olive Garden in some regards. Great menu with big portions and good prices. I had steak and shrimp combo and it was phenomenal - garlic mash was yummy and roasted vegetables solid. Side salad was size of full salad elsewhere. Great value. Wife went for fettuccine Alfredo and you could feed 5 people with that dish. Overall food was excellent, service prompt and prices very family friendly. 5/5 read more

If my grandmother was alive she would of jumped back on the ship she came from in Italy, I would have been beaten with a wooden spoon for a year offering this food to my family in my ancestors presence. Service was great, very eager young staff that was more excited to see me than my kids opening Christmas gifts. Their oil is really good, high quality. The bread was ok. I wouldn't return here if you offered me a lifetime eating pass. Sorry. I never wrote a bad review I think ever in my life. What kind of bozo chef sends out cold plates. Anyways. Being from Rhode Island, there is great Italian on pretty much every corner. Lancaster, well....not so much. My kid wanted some chicken parm or something of like and when I went to Yelp to find a place to get it, I was in shock at the limited options. I've eaten at Carrabbas before in FL and knew it was ok. I don't generally enjoy chains and look for more "mom and pop" type places. Sad that they don't make all their own pasta now, but it still comes out very much edible. No reservations on a Sunday night around 5 and we were able to walk right in. Service was prompt and they checked back at reasonable intervals. I think one of our servers was training as you could tell she was a little inexperienced but she was smiling and polite and her trainer was clearly a pro. I had a smoked old fashioned and the waiter smoked it tableside; which was a nice touch. It was flavorful, elegant and not watered down. Kid had the chicken parm and made it disappear quickly along with the mashed potatoes. I had the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were tasty and portions were spot on. I also like that they put the calorie counts on the menu. I don't have one single complaint about our meal here and am surprised to see such a low yelp score. Must be hit or miss here because I would not hesitate to go back based on my experience. read more

The food was very good and the ambience very nice. Unfortunately, our server was dreadful. Our entire table is very empathetic toward wait staff but with a not very crowded restaurant, to actually see our drinks on the bar and have them never picked up, to not be checked on and having to ask for after dinner coffee to be taken off the bill because we never received it was too much. I don't want to give the lovely restaurant a bad review for one experience, but feel that management should know this. read more

Not impressed. Food could have been better overall was just ok some of the dishes were on the cold side. Service took forever overall dinner took over 2 hours which was due to extremely slow service. Not offered any refills for over an hour and a half As it was only got 2 of my soda. Restaurant was out of many items - how do you run out of food and wine at an Italian restaurant?! So, let's get it over with. We have a gap in decent Italian in Lancaster. We have one high end full of itself overpriced place. And we have some pizza joints so Carrabba's has a niche. One of my favorite spots when im in Lancaster PA. I enjoyed the blackberry sangria. Of course cannot get enough of the dipping oil with spices and warm bread to dip in it. Our server Nikki is the absolute best!! I'd go there just for her. She's amazing and makes the restaurant even better! I dined here tonight with my sister and her baby and the staff here were wonderful. They had a great ambience for family dinner, date night, or a girls night out. We ordered the linguine positano with chicken to share and a side of asparagus and the zucchini fritte. Everything was very tasty but the best part of our meal was our sever Nikki. Very pleasantly surprised! It has been many years since I was in one. The options I chose one better than the other , but the star for me was that capresse salad. So disappointed in my take out order!! Spent $150 on dinner, and it was awful. The portions for all the entrées were so small. The zucchini fries appetizer was cold and soggy, and also had like 10 tiny fries in it total, for $12!!! What a joke . The chicken Parm and the eggplant Parm both had burnt cheese and barely any sauce at all. Unfortunately, I will not be getting taken out from here ever again. Very disappointing meal. read more

I normally love this place. As a matter of fact, it is very disappointing that we don't have one in York. Our service was good...albeit the waiter might have had too many tables...but is everywhere. My Sausage Lentil Soup was hot and delicious. The disppointment was that my Lasagne was barely lukewarm...kind of ruins the idea that it was fresh made when you realize it was nuked. The taste was delicious, but I will never send food back bc I have heard stories of it being spit in, etc. Just NO... loved the fresh bread, olive oil and spices. Ate mostly that and bought my Lasagna home to re-heat. For the prices, my Lasagna should have been hot. So we were in OC MD, again for Thanksgiving. We went the previous year as well and were not pleased with the service or Food, However I Must Say that this Year was quite different, we made Reservations and arrived a few minutes early and were seated within our reservation time, our Waitress and Server's were very cordial and attentive. All our dishes were very well prepared and tasty! Our Waitress was very busy but always made eye contact to assure us that we were not forgotten! First time here with my husband and another couple. I had Linguine Pescatore...we were very busy talking and eating so I did not get pictures of everyone else's dinner. Caesar salad was very good. My dinner was perfect....my only reason for 4 and not 5 stars....the restroom was not kept up...messy for a Saturday early evening, no tissue paper in the stall and the other stall was almost empty...one other thing, my husband was just finishing up with his dinner, had a couple of bites left, he laid his fork down to have a drink and our server took his plate without asking permission....other than that, it was a very nice, relaxing time. read more

I have been to a few carabbas and for some reason I keep coming back with hopes they would get better but it has finally hit me, this is the best they can do. 4 down and not one of them made me say Wow. The calamari was dry and too salty, the salad was just lettuce and dressing, the salmon was over cooked and way to much sauce, made the dish not all that good. Mashed potatoes were good. The most impressive thing I enjoyed was the blackberry sangria, very tasty. The restaurant needs a good dusting as there was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The floors even needed a good cleaning. I haven't been here in years. Met a friend over lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the salad I had. Large portion size, lettuce was fresh and not wilted, not overly dressed, and a filling amount of chicken. Chicken was moist and not over salted. I've been Car-robbed! Well, this was a huge disappointment in so many ways. Thanksgiving Eve dinner has been a big deal for us. We travel for 5 hours from as far as northwest Ct, to PA, to spend it with family. Carrabba's and a few others have been our go-to place because of location, and because of limited choices on such a busy night. Here go the complaints: 1. bad smell from the carpet. Time to update the interior, stat! 2. Thin and watery "penne a la vodka sauce" in their seafood pasta dish. Looked really poorly made and almost made me ask for the whole meal to be comped. 3. My penne with marinara sauce was awful. So much minced cheap garlic from a jar and an acrid acidic taste. 4. My meatballs were a bluish grey color. So mushy and gross from sitting in oil and water that they were bloated and complete mush. The fact that they smothering it it sauce added further insult to injury. While I loved the wait staff and the kindness of the team, there was nothing Italian or authentic about this meal. Then the worst was yet to come. The cannoli cake for two. It was this giant mass of sugar which bore zero resemblance to cannoli, either in taste or in texture. The cake part was dense and thick and sugary, the cannoli cream part was just sugar, no fresh cream taste, and no traditional cannoli cream flavor, just cheap, and gross and covered in pistachios to make it appear like an expensive cake, but the sugary cake and the sugary cream cancelled each other out. Then to add chocolate sauce on the bottom? Why? Maybe if you had made it Nutella, it would have saved the drowning cake. Even the little cannoli on top, filled with a brownish cannoli cream was just plain awful. Carrabba's chefs, cooks, and managers all need to go to Brooklyn on a field trip to learn what a cannoli should taste like, and what sauce should taste like. It would be a worthwhile experience for them to up their game and serve authentic food. I don't recall it ever being so bad. Forget the sauce, leave the cannoli! It's all pretty disappointing. read more

We ate at Carrabba's and felt like the it was a traditional mom and pop restaurant serving grandma's Italian recipes. Service was excellent and the food and drinks were varied which we enjoyed. All at a reasonable price. I gave it a 5star rating because I believe the overall rating needs to be boosted, this is a solid 4-star restaurant. I will be coming back again! read more

We have been eating at this restaurant for years, and were so disappointed yesterday in our meals. At a few minutes after noon, the place was not at all busy, so staff should not have had any excuses for the missteps. My husband and I both ordered grilled chicken, the chef had the flames eye level off the grill, when we received our entrees the meat had a black wet look to the meat, with the taste of propane...from our seats behind the hostess desk we could hear the conversation of the chef and several other wait staff complaining about the work situation they were not happy about. We had received a $50.00 gift card for a recent birthday and spent it and more on this poor excuse for a meal. read more
