One egg, crisp bacon, home fries, and a side of S.O.S. on toast
    Art B.

I LOVE this place. It is, respectfully, a charming and well-worn greasy spoon diner, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you want something fancy, or want to pay using a credit card, go someplace else and leave this place to those of us who appreciate it. I took my Daughter here years ago and saw that they had "S.O.S." on the menu, and I asked the waitress if that was what I thought it was. She said yes, and that Dillon's might be the last place in New Bedford to offer it. So, years later (I moved), I returned to try it. Healthy? Heck no. I only ate half of it and in so doing, reached my sodium intake for the day. And yes, I took the other half home because I am that guy. The guy next to me ordered the Open-face Roast Beef Sandwich with Gravy; it was an ample portion that looked ridiculously good. There are many regulars who frequent Dillon's, and it gives it a Cheers-type atmosphere - people walk in and several folks greet them by name. I love that. So, if you like this type of place, go, and bring cash and a good appetite.

Walked in and loved all the sports pics and history. 23/24yrs feeding everyone in the New Bedford area the waitress let us know. We got the eggs and steak as well as the works. Super clean, loud and fast. By far one of the best breakfast places in the NB! Check out the video on our YouTube page Goddess of Green. Make sure to try the home fry potatoes with peppers and 2 cups of coffee. Ya already know!

Menu. Sorry some is cut off. But overall gist is super cheap.

I gotta go 5 stars here. As long as you go in expecting a greasy spoon type diner, you'll be satisfied and your wallet won't be much lighter. A colleague and I were in NB for a meeting and we got there 45 minutes early. Headed to Dillons for breakfast. The service was super quick and friendly enough. We got two full breakfasts (eggs home fries toast bacon coffee) for $13. If you get there before 8 it's even cheaper. Food was good. Home fries are a little spicy. Cash only (as one would expect in this kind of place).

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I drove up but my skepticism went away once inside. Great, friendly service and an amazing breakfast (excellent home fries) and I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Great diner. Food is inexpensive and comes out super fast. We sat at the bar, watching them turn out one plate after another was impressive.

The whole place has that genuine hometown vibe that's getting harder to find, plus consistently great live music (Sundays especially). It's on the smaller side, but they somehow pack the place without sacrificing service, which says a lot. When the weather warms up, they open up a large alley next to the pub for live music--and that's where this place really shines. On a crisp fall day? Forget about it... that's exactly where I want to be. Good food, good people, good music--what more do you need? Enjoy the good times ahead.

Great beer selection on tap from ipas to ciders to whatever mixed drink you are looking for. We were taken care of right away by the bartender and later on another. The mozz sticks were great, nice cheese pull, the Reuben was the clear winner, not too salty at all, good flavor. The brisket was a little dry for the cheesesteak, and the burger was undercooked (asked for medium well got more of a medium rare), the bun also didn't hold up that great, but the fries were excellent good salt levels crisp and crunch. Would definitely come back for a Bev and a bite!

The vibe is cool, and they serve up some solid food alongside a great craft beer flight. The Food: Pan Seared NBMA Scallops ($24): Served with linguica, summer corn succotash, and harissa aioli. This appetizer was very fresh and exceptionally good. Beet Salad ($15): Whipped goat cheese, roasted beets, blood orange, toasted pistachios, pickled red onion, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic glaze. My wife loved this salad--it was packed with fresh flavors and textures. Lobster Truffle Grilled Cheese ($32): Made with Gruyère cheese, fresh-picked lobster meat, truffle oil, and toasted sourdough. While it tasted good, the truffle flavor was very light, and there wasn't as much lobster as I would expect for a $32 price tag. Ultimately, it was good, but not really worth the price. The Drinks: We also grabbed a four-beer flight, which came on a fun whale-tail paddle with a handy menu card: 1. Raz Sour 2. Blueberry Ale 3. Capsized IPA 4. Colonial Ale Overall, a fun spot with great starters and a cool flight setup. I'd definitely go back for the scallops and drinks, though I might skip the lobster grilled cheese next time.

She said it was delicious! I had a basic breakfast sandwich with a side of hollandaise. So tasty! We eat had breakfast and a drink and it was $20 for everything. What a steal! Dunkin is more expensive for breakfast! There was a ton of seating, but it was rather busy for a Wednesday morning! Food was out quickly and was hot! Loved that! That were really good, not a ton of flavor, but they were definitely fresh. We also got an order of the PB&J stuffed French toast, which was absolutely delicious. The peanut butter was warm inside and the French toast was cooked perfectly. We got a blueberry pancake for the table because they have homemade blueberry butter. That was absolutely delicious. No syrup needed! Overall, I really enjoyed the food, and the place was very cute inside. The bathroom was a little rundown and only had one working stall, but other than that it's definitely five stars. We will be back.
