Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in to make a deposit , as I have for the last 75 years , and was refused because they said my name was not the same as on my ID. This was a deposit not a withdraw ! So when I asked to see the manager so as to make the deposit , I was told to leave my phone number and would be contacted for an appointment to come in to speak with a manager. I wanted to make a deposit that day not in a week , this is the treatment I get after 75 years of being a customer. After I asked for the tellers name , she slide the " window closed " sign up , and walked away . If you want a smooth and friendly banking experience , this is not the bank to count on . If you want a crappy and frustrating bank experience , and a ruined day come here. read more

No lie I wish I could this negative stars. I understand I'm not an account holder at this bank, but they gave me a hard time when I went for quarters. I've gone multiples times this month for quarters and I get them. Today I was told that's it's policy not to give out quarters to non account holders. Chase and BofA never give me problems and I don't have an account with them either. read more

This place deserves 3.5 stars not 3 or a 4. From all the banks I have worked with this one is friendly but if u are ever needing something else besides depositing or withdrawing from the teller line, good luck! The wait time to see and speak to a banker is always about 30, and who really has time to wait 30 mins to have maintenance done on your account? Besides that issue, the customer service staff is friendly, they do try to remember your name of you are a regular so their efforts are appreciated. Overall great bank to be with if you do not have to consistently see a banker. Wait time on teller lines are usually 3 mins and you are in and out. If you are looking for a bank that greets u helps u avoid fees and have a friendly staff then I would recommended. read more

This bank has really gone down hill after they got a new manager, it's like they're always under staffed and when there are staff, they're all busy while the line to see a teller is ridiculously long and there's legitimately only ONE TELLER. Went to the SG branch on a Saturday to cash a Citibank issued check by an employer. Now, this was my first time cashing a check with citibank from this employer and I don't have a account with them. The teller proceeds to assist me, she requests that I write down my social security # on a paper for her. I present my California driver's license to her then I ask her what I would need to open a checking account with them ( I was wondering how much $ i needed to open an account ) she tells me I needed an ID, Social Security Card, Utility bill and Birth Certificate. Who carries all of this with them? What other banks asks for such documents to open an checking account? Well, 20 minutes later she declines cashing my check and instructs me to have my employer contact her and that she would then inform them as to why it was not cashed. I could not help but feel that I had been discriminated against. The following Monday I went to Citibank in Gardena Ca and they cashed my check without any issues or delays and they informed me that they never ask for such documents ever. This teller in SG took it upon herself to play INS Agent with me and wasted my time. This should not happen to anyone ever. Or is this standard procedure? read more

Are used to bank in big bear the big bear branch would always release my funds immediately this branch and the manager are so ignorant they don't release my funds they tell me they will be available at midnight and now I find out that they put a hold on my account who the fuck are these people I would've gave them a negative but it doesn't give you that choice read more

This is the worst bank ever not only do the tellers have any cash the ATM machines always not working I parked my motorhome at a 24 hour banking people don't open until 10 I got there 9:30 at 10 they were still not open went down the street to get a jump or battery cuz my lights are on not even 22 minutes later at 10:28 a.m. my motorhome was towed not by South Gate PD buy a private party the bank teller who's not even a manager because the manager Michelle is not even there his name is Pablo he told my tow truck illegally with my dog in it who is now missing the tow yard broke my transmission after I pay $700 to get it out went back to the bank they close my account mr. Pablo says I threatened him basically told him to meet me at 5 to find my dog motorhome broken down close my business account my dog i s missing and this is from CitiFinancial Bank which I have no problem with just Pablo and I went to the bank last night and this morning 27 cars parked on the facility none of them have an account there 11 cars with no tags three cars that people are living in but my mobile home gets impounded with my dog in it I will never ever thank you again read more

Service is usually good here. However, these lines are always ridiculous. The worst part about it is that they only have 2 tellers working and people are really annoyed at the fact they have to spend over 30 mins waiting in line. Whoever is staffing and making work schedules in this place should really rethink what they do. Oh and did I mention that the ATM machines outside are not dispensing money! I only come here when I have to make a deposit for rent during the week while I'm at work. I come on my lunch break and it takes up my whole hour. There's 10 people in line and only 1 teller! It's 1:30pm. The line is always long even if there is more than 1 teller. I need to find a better way to make a simple deposit. read more

This isn't a review for this branch but Citibank customer service phone (after hours), after being approved for a balance transfer card with Citi bank, I was like 21 months wow that great! Okay fast forward two weeks, trying to set up the balance transfer and it won't let me log into my online account saying I need to call customer service. Called on my only day off (being Sunday, as I too work for a Credit union). Spoke to a man on the phone , said he needed to call me back on my number to verify so I gave it to him and he never called back. Then called spoke to a woman and she tells me I can't be verified because the number isn't in my name, well ya I share the plan with my mom. Not only did they not unlock my account so I can initiate my balance transfer , she tried to hang up on me in the middle of my question. After going back and fourth telling her this makes no sense( this is after she told me that I couldn't just go into a branch and show my ID, which is what normal credit unions would do) I also need to reach out to them at the same time or give them my bank account number to my other credit union (ya right so they could start withdrawing for no reason). Really makes me want to cancel this card , but of course my credit was already pulled. I will not be getting any other services with Citi bank, Citi bank is truly a sham. I would advise to just go to a credit union where everything is actually explained to you. Now I have to make my way to a branch, this is beyond ridiculous !! read more
