This was a deposit not a withdraw ! So when I asked to see the manager so as to make the deposit , I was told to leave my phone number and would be contacted for an appointment to come in to speak with a manager. I wanted to make a deposit that day not in a week , this is the treatment I get after 75 years of being a customer. After I asked for the tellers name , she slide the " window closed " sign up , and walked away . If you want a smooth and friendly banking experience , this is not the bank to count on . The Cons: 1- There is only ONE physical branch in the greater Los Angele Metropolitan area. If you like a physical branch to visit regularly that automatically eliminates PNC from consideration. Easy decision. 2- Regular computer browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox on Windows, Mac or any of the Linux flavors) layout for the website is a CLUNKER! It is State of the Art IF this was the year 2005. LOL... You youngsters probably know this stuff already. It is a Non-Responsive website. That is, there is a huge amount of empty real estate around the interactive part of the website. PNC could have used a larger font and put a little more information per page by using this empty space! My humble opinion. 3- No charge to use "partner" ATMs. These are everywhere! However, take note, most of them do not accept cash deposits! For those that do accept deposits look on the ATM map. They are not rare but don't assume the ATM you are visiting will allow a deposit. Now for the Pros: 1- The Google app is mostly fine once you get use to it just like any other app. I have not tried the Apple version to be up front. The App makes it very easy to deposit your checks digitally. Depending on where the check is generated it may take a few days to show up in your account. You will have a record of it being processed as soon as you deposit it. 2- I have never had a problem contacting a human on the phone Monday through Saturday. Bonus: they all speak English CLEARLY! 3- All of your transactions are available to download as PDF files. I started PNC as a little play-around side project when the original account was under SIMPLE Bank. They then were taken over by BBVA and finally PNC. All three transitions went smoothly. In fact, I have become so comfortable with PNC that I FIRED Chase Bank! All of my regular banking needs are done through PNC now. Since I'm now retired I prefer to look at my super sweet 32" OLED monitor as oppose to my phone. If PNC does something about the website they'll get a 5 star from me.

Not only is it more difficult to reach a live person, customers are forced to turn off their VPN to use online banking/mobile app. Especially for financial transactions, this is an important extra layer of security. 1stBank did not have this restriction, nor does Fidelity, Vanguard, American Express and other financial institutions. Also, you're restricted to using Zelle with only the mobile app, not online banking; another inconvenience if you're working online versus phone. There is absolutely no value-add with PNC so absolutely no reason to use them.
