Docking one star only because they couldn't swoop in and rescue the missing $30 Lowe's still owes us--since Lowe's had already issued a partial refund (and then stiffed us on the rest like the lowlifes they are lol). I was advised to call to make an appointment to open a CD I tried calling everyday for 4 days in a row. Once transferred to the branch the person would pick up the phone and hang up or they would click me over to the main 800#. So unprofessional. read more

The banker Khue Tran was very irresponsible and unprofessional, almost never responded to emails and had to make calls several times to reach her discussing questions or problems! Although reached her but she never solved problems . Recently, even worse , Khue Tran didn't solve and ignore problem and just played disappearing trying avoiding solve problems! Khue Tran is NOT QUALIFIED as a banker in Citi bank. The manager Ed is always on Khue Tran side, never helped customer to solve problem but just on employee side ! Very disappointing! read more

I was trying to initiate a wire transfer from my saving account. I was very skeptical when I read other negative reviews, particular about the long waiting time and banker lacking the professionalism helping customers. However some reviews looks a bit dated, so I decided to schedule an appointment online with one of the two bankers, Yitong Liu (I didn't know her before the appointment) Yitong showed up on time (actually ahead of time, since I arrived a few minutes early) and greeted me as I arrived. She was so helpful to make sure the account information is correctly entered, and the transaction was approved instantly. She also helped to downgrade my account level to avoid a monthly fee. Before I go, she also provided me the document and told me that could be used as a funding proof in case the internal banking system caused extra delay. It was a very pleasant banking experience - she kept me feel comfortable and enjoy the conversations. I highly recommend Yitong and also recommend this Citibank branch's banker service (can't say anything about teller, but I don't see a long line either when I visit) read more

The home lending officer, Sue, really saved our home. Not only she helped us secure a good rate, but also when there came unexpected situations that almost delayed closing, Sue tirelessly facilitated and followed through all the dependency and finally we were able to close on time! This bank is, by far, the worst that I have patronized. I went into the bank for a simple service, estimating it would take no more than 15 minutes. The teller who assisted me, Jason Liu, did not read my bank information correctly from his computer and ended up giving me the wrong information about my account. When I attempted to provide him with the correct information, he doubted the veracity of my claims and consulted his manager, Veronica Lopez, for some time. Optimistically, I thought that the manager would show more competence and skill in handling my request. However, I was utterly disappointed when the branch manager Veronica Lopez failed to follow up with me in a professional manner. Ms. Lopez quickly lost her work composure when she spoke to me. She showed signs of irritation and snapped back at me after I explained to her that Mr. Liu had not returned my property to me. Her communication felt rather personal to me, which made me extremely uncomfortable as a customer. To upper-management at Citibank, I would like to sadly provide feedback that the branch manager Veronica Lopez failed to exhibit professional behavior while attempting to handle my customer-related issue. I was in the branch for much longer than normal for a routine bank service and was also disappointed by the lack of skill and customer service exhibited by both the teller and the branch manager. To other prospective customers and existing Citi customers, please do NOT go to this branch if you seek a hassle-free, pleasant experience. There are other nearby Citi branches. Stopped by Citibank on Mary Ave today, technically, I just walked in with no appointments. Due to Covid-19, most of the bankers were busy with customers. Ed Russell noticed me and stopped by to tell me he could help me in 20 minutes. After his clients left his office, I noticed he was using Lysol wipes to clean EVERYTHING. Called the branch asking if anyone is a notary who can help us sign our 10 trust documents. I was told the manager Ed can help if we turn up that day between 2-5pm. We turned up and true to their word, Ed was able to help us get the signatures notarized. Due to the volume of the documents, it took about 40 minutes but Ed was completely helpful and diligent throughout. Great service and comfortable environment too. read more

This is more of a review for all of Citibank and Citibank credit cards. But I called the Sunnyvale number and they are just as much an offender with their phone tree as the rest of the company. If you're a potential customer, and you simply want to talk with a customer service representative via the phone, and not online, you can call any of the "General" listed numbers that Citibank displays on their website. When calling any one of the numbers for general questions, you will be requested to enter an account number and security password. Now, how in the world are you suppose to do that if you're not yet a customer and have a general question? No where on their website or anywhere on their phone tree do they allow you to speak directly to a customer service representative for general questions. It's no wonder this bank failed because if they can't get the basics straight, sheesh, they're not likely to be able to figure out anything harder! read more

I love this Citibank branch! The tellers are all so friendly. The bank manager is very understanding & very nice! This branch gets a A+ in customer service. Thy are also fast so there is hardly ever a time where I had to stand in line to be waited on. I live in San Jose but I like doing my bank business at this branch. I recently came here to sign up for a new bank account. Although I wasn't greeted right away, the staff there seemed to be quick and knowledgeable in explaining different banking options that can help me save money. The time spent there was pretty average and was not notably speedy. They asked standard questions and didn't have me fill out any forms to save me the trouble and the time. The representative just asked me directly and inputed my answers onto the computer. Nothing really stood out as an extraordinary experience for me. read more

This review is for Mark Falcone Home Lending Officer. Mark is a true professional. This review is well over due. Mark help me with my first home loan two years ago. Since I'm self employed the bank pretty much asked for everything short of a blood and urine samples. Mark help guide us through the whole painful process. We got pre-approved at a very competitive rate and once we found a place my wife finally liked, we put in an offer with my realtor Maya Hsu. The offer was accepted and Mark was right on it and got us closed in just two weeks. Fast forward two years and we have another child on the way and need more space. Once again we contacted Mark for help on financing. Still self employed we know the process would be grueling. And Citi didn't disappoint. Actually it seem even tougher this time around. Mark the consummate professional walked us through the process. We got pre-approved at a great rate. The real estate marketing is still red hot. However, we manage to find a beautiful single family home and got our offer accepted with a little back and forth. This time it took 3 weeks to close. Still pretty fast. My realtor couldn't help but comment on how fast things happened. Mark was total on top of the whole process from end to end. I went into this brank two times because it's close to my house. First time it was to close an account because they charged me fees on a FREE CHECKING account when it was opened! So after it was "closed", I got a statement a month later with another fee! Apparently it was never closed! Hello? So I go back in, the "manager' tries to argue with me about how there is no way they made that error! Unbelievable! Anyways, I had to call corporate to get my fees reversed and get this account finally closed. I would stay away from this branch, they don't have bright people working there! read more

I had to follow up to get my cash promotion and have been waiting over a year for my other promotion item. You have to contact them multiple times and they never follow up with you. They are full of excuses from their manager down to their supposed personal banker. If you have to use citibank, don't come to this branch. read more

I have been a loyal customer for this branch: I actually tried different ones, but still prefer to drive even a longer distance to come here for the friendly, professional and helpful services that I can get from this branch. I was very surprised that once a banker asked if I wanted to be called the next day for an update on an issue that I made it problematic myself. Anyway, I feel so welcome getting banking services here whenever I need help. I give them 4-4.5 stars, but I guess there's always room for improvement: it's not always excellent, right? I had close to 800 credit and started with Mark Falcone (Chase Bank), incompetent guy stalled on the loan for 35 days with random credit checks and lame questions. Brought the credit to 740, with 8 requests. He almost made us loose the house. Met Sue Lee from Citi bank, she jumped in on 22 Dec got the loan on Jan 5. Sue is Great ! She got the loan in 14 days ( including 4 bank holidays) . Amazing loan speed !!! read more

I agree with Joseph C. about this branch. It's the worst bank I've been to. The tellers are so slow and I'm always waiting in line for a long time even though it's not busy. I used to pay my credit card bill there but not anymore. I cancelled my card so I didn't have to deal with them anymore. The tellers are not very bright and they always try to sell you something. I generally only write reviews for something outstanding or just the opposite. In this case just the opposite. If there was a lower rating than one star they would get it! Needed an home equity loan to cover loss due to a fire to my residence and difference in what insurance is paying. Met with loan person who took my initial information and scheduled an appointment with wife. On the day of the appointment she is not there. Took the day off for her birthday. No call no message nothing. Had branch manager and fill in help me. As with the initial person, the fill in and manager all knew loan was for remodeling due to fire. Application processed. Preapproved even telling the lady that the appraiser will have to enter the gate due to current construction. Month later denied loan because Citibank policy is not to take loans on houses damaged due to fire. Why in the heck did they take and process my loan. No less than four people knew what loan was for. Got letter stating why and called only to have them tell me they should have told me. Went in and spoke with branch manager, what a joke. Give me a firm handshake not a dead fish limp one. His excuse we need to train our loan personal better. An entire month loss waiting for funds only to add to the current situation. I hope no one experiences a loss due to a fire at your residence but if you or know someone who does please do not use Citibank!!! read more
