All this moronic drill for a deposit. not withdrawal! I've found a way around this whole stupidity. Use the front ATM for depositing the joint refund check and not suffer the idiots inside! - I was there today for a 5 mins job of servicing my son's UTMA account as he just turned 18. The staff were uncooperative and sighted they have appointments and come back later. And spent time arguing for over 10 mins and could have helped me during that time. Their staff at the counters are strictly for performing the tasks that an ATM does + issuing cashier check. Nothing else. I turns out they can do one more thing: closing the account (another 5 mins job!), which I was able to do and deposited the proceeds to my son's other account. Guess where?at the front ATM!

It was 5pm on a Friday but they greeted me well and Mr Hans sat me down and very clearly explained the process and estimated 20mins to get it all done. since I was already a member my daughter didn't need to come in. Mr Hans then finished opening the account and immediately credited the promotion amount and even printed the debit card for my daughter. By 5:25pm I was done and out the door. My daughter was super thrilled to see the first debit card of her life with her name on it and said she will always keep it and she was even more thrilled that she could link it to her Apple Pay. Hopefully teaches her to manage her money better. Thank you Mr Hans and Keypoint credit union! Looks like Keypoint has gotten a second generation customer base acquired.

i went to Chase Sunnyvale today to do a currency exchange. I had a fair amount of foreign currency…read moreI wanted to exchange so was already a bit reluctant about exchange rate fees/spread losses, expecting Chase to take a bit over 10% to do the transaction. I was helped by Mateo, who patiently went through the process with me, including counting my money multiple times to verify that the amounts were correct (note: the bill counter for US bills will miscount the number of bills so make sure to know how much you have beforehand and ask for a hand count verification), and to process it. He was patient and never made me feel pressured or guilty for taking a long time. Afterwards, I got back home and found out I could get a better rate elsewhere by calling around (this would have saved me hundreds of dollars) and so I immediately called Chase Sunnyvale to see if they could reverse the transaction. The woman who picked up the phone helpfully figured out that they could make it happen as long as I came back ASAP with receipts (before the computer was "logged out"). I quickly drove back and was promptly helped by both the woman who answered my phone call and Mateo. They were professional and courteous even though they spent a lot of time for essentially no net transaction. In short, I came away feeling like they cared about me as a customer and weren't concerned about being inconvenienced. Overall, they saved me from feeling upset about myself for not doing more research on exchange options, and that earned my trust and continued good will. I know not all places and not all people would be so willing to help so thank you Mateo and woman whose name I don't know!

Jessica Wang from the Cupertino branch was very knowledgeable as well helpful. She handled all the paperwork; all we had to do was sign the documents. We also opened our accounts with TechCU.
