Citrus Club came through big time for our group of 9; they seated us quickly without missing a beat. This rooftop bar is an absolute must in Charleston with killer drinks, great service, and vibes that are hard to beat! If you're looking for a fun night out or a sunset drink with a view, this is the place for you!! Highly recommend!

I've tried to visit a few times but the wait can be out of control - you put your name on a list at the ground floor of the hotel and once space is available, you're presented with a keycard to access the rooftop. I finally made it on a Tuesday around 4:30 with no wait! The views alone are worth it. You can sit at couches, tables or high tops to enjoy views of the bridge to the Charleston skyline. The cocktail list has something for everyone and prices are in line with other rooftop bars. The presentation of the drinks are elegant and staff is very attentive.

This was a great place to watch the sunset! We probably should have made a reservation, as we had to wait awhile, but we walked here from our hotel for a drink before dinner. The view was great! The drinks also were enjoyable. The service was pretty slow. Our food and drinks came out reasonably, but our server didn't check on us, provide napkins or utensils, refill our water, etc. she was very nice, and I'm sure busy, but it did affect our experience.

I went to Citrus Club for some cocktails and the sunset. Beautiful views from the rooftop and great drinks!

My mom & I came in early in the day and we were happy to snag a seat with no reservation. Beautiful ambience & rooftop views. However, service was just a little slow for our liking - it was hard to catch our server even if there weren't as many people just yet. I also felt like the drinks we got were pretty average for the price point... almost $20 for each. Just a one or two times (if needed) max rooftop choice for me, unfortunately!

The Citrus Club is a rooftop bar located on the top floor of the Dewberry hotel. The delicious drinks, the top-notch service, and the gorgeous views make this spot a must visit place if you are visiting Charleston! Although reservations are recommended, we were able to get a table for 2 with only a 15 minute wait.

Amazing!! Visiting Charleston for a few days and wanted to try a rooftop spot. This was the best choice! Not busy at all in the afternoon, gorgeous views, and delicious food. The lychee-tini was good, a little sweet for my taste and not a strong lychee flavor, which was disappointing but still good. The oysters were phenomenal, best oysters I've ever had. I also got the swordfish sandwich which was to die for. Pricey, but worth it.

Great roof top bar and tapas place in charlston. We didnt get any food but the drinks were great and they had a decent amount of options. The bar has about a 220 degree view of south charlston and has some very comfortable seating. You need to check in at the lobby and get an elevator pass. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend if your looking for a more upscale rooftop bar.

The Citrus Club is an absolute gem. We put our name down with the hostess and enjoyed a cocktail at the lobby bar, which is also gorgeous. Within five minutes, our table was ready. We chose to sit outside on the rooftop and enjoyed cocktails by a fire pit. Service was excellent and the cocktails were top notch. Note that it's walk in only. Highly recommend!

Reading through the reviews for Citrus Club, I'm not super surprised at the wide range of experiences. I've been twice now, and both times were great with no issues. I could see it being really busy or crazy with service; the hostesses were fine for me but apparently there is maybe one person who is causing the problem. I love the beautiful views -- we didn't sit outside either time (weather for one and then availability for our large party) but were fine in the bar. It's a really pretty little space and it's just bougie enough that you can enjoy it without it being stuffy. We didn't have any food, but we did try a drink that was a fresh and boozy strawberry popsicle in prosecco. It was fun, but not my usual type of cocktail. I got my Campari sprtiz and was a happy camper!

I'm obsessed with Citrus Club, and squeezed in two visits in 24 hours! The drinks are fantastic (Mai Tai being my favorite) and the rooftop views and vibe = perfection. The service is also fast and friendly. You can't go wrong with indoor or outdoor seating, and it's best to make a reservation. Cheers!

We went to Citrus club to get some sweet views of Charleston at night. It was gorgeous! The coconut margarita had strong flavors and was pretty pricy. It was $20. You really are paying for the view. We did not get any food. It didn't really look that good, to us. The service was okay, they pretty much left us alone, and we had to chase them down to ask for the bill when we were ready to leave. It is on a boutique hotel rooftop. It was our first time in Charleston, and we heard a lot of good things about this place online. It is definitely a photo op, cute vibe if that's what you want. It could be a romantic date night.

Food was good , but the drinks and service was amazing, the bartenders the waitress were awesome. I will definitely be back again. If you do visit these people who work there deserve great tips !!!

Ask the Community - Citrus Club

    Is it dog friendly?

No dogs. I have never seen a dog there. Even purse dogs. There is no outdoor space. No balconies, etc.

    Should we make a reservation?

I would. If I were you. Call ahead. You can always sit at the bar or lounge without a reservation. But if you go into the dining room, may need to wear a jacket.

Don't let the name deter you if you are not a gin person because they have many options with different types of liquors. One tip: sit at the bar if you can, the set up is stunning especially for taking photos! The cocktail menu was moderately extensive with two full pages of complex and simple cocktails. Honestly, it was so difficult to choose what drink to get because I wanted to get everything on the menu. The bartenders were so attentive and talented - their implementation of each cocktail was even better than the menu descriptions. Not only were the drinks delicious but also beautifully presented. They have some bar bites as well as quite a few small and large plates, we got the pretzels which to my absolute surprise were so good! If I ever go back to Charleston, I will definitely be hitting this place up.

You can tell the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. The surprise star of the night, though, was the grilled cheese. Calling it a grilled cheese almost feels unfair because this thing was next-level. Perfectly crisp on the outside, rich and gooey on the inside, and paired with the cocktails so well that we were talking about it long after we left. Sometimes the simplest thing on a menu ends up stealing the show. The atmosphere strikes that perfect Charleston balance of classy, cozy, and effortlessly cool. Great service, great drinks, and one of the most memorable grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. If you're in Charleston and appreciate a serious cocktail program, The Gin Joint is a must-visit. Come for the drinks, stay because the grilled cheese will ruin lesser grilled cheeses for the rest of your life

We arrived for dinner with our 2-year-old. The tone was set immediately by our server, who was visibly annoyed when I didn't respond to his greeting fast enough because I was tending to my toddler. Rather than reading the situation with any empathy, he sharply said "Hi, miss" in a way that made it clear he expected immediate attention. Not a great start. Things only went downhill from there. My husband had to briefly step away to take a work call, and instead of accommodating the situation in any reasonable way, the server dropped water and bluntly said he'd return "when your husband is back"--effectively refusing to engage with me at all. Trying to make the best of it, I decided to feed my child first. After waiting quite a while with no assistance, I had to flag someone down--who turned out to be the manager. What followed was honestly the most appalling part of the evening. I asked if they could simply warm up my child's food. Not only did she refuse, she told me I could not feed my child in the restaurant. No alternatives offered. No attempt at accommodation. No offer for a kid friendly food item, or no offer to feed her in the hotel lobby. Her "solution" was that I should leave the restaurant and go find some outdoor space nearby to feed my toddler. To make matters worse, she added that "service will start at 6:15 sharp," essentially implying I should figure it out and be back on their timeline. The complete lack of empathy, flexibility, or basic hospitality was astonishing. I have never encountered such dismissive and hostile behavior toward a family with a young child--especially at a supposedly high-end establishment. Mind you we have been to plenty of restaurants including 3 Michelin stars. If you're dining with a child--or frankly, if you expect to be treated with basic respect--I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
