Heppner's does direct repair for Progressive making it the perfect local option for me after a neighbor rammed into my parked vehicle. I submitted a claim, made an appointment and was eventually able to drop my car off (shoutout to Heppner's for hopping on a three way call with the aforementioned villains). Through a tough situation, Heppner's made the process shockingly easy. They kept me in the loop consistently and always kept to the dates they stated they'd call. My vehicle was returned looking brand new inside and out. The checkout process was great. The customer service was great. They truly went above and beyond. We had one small miscommunication and they were extremely apologetic (it really wasn't a big deal). Honestly, Heppner's blew me out of the water with their service and professionalism. I can't say much about value (I filed a claim), but I can say I'm happy to have my car back and I highly recommend Heppner's for repair services!

Those first three shops were on recommendation from the guy who hit me, a very anxious man who had never been in an accident before and was trying to handle things sans insurance. After all three body shops said that the repair would cost more than the dude could afford out of pocket, I was tired, frustrated, and feeling ambivalent about having my car done at the places I had visited. I got the recommendation for Lehman's from a friend who said that he and his brother both had good experiences at two of their seven locations (the Downtown and Savage locations only do auto body repair, but they will shuttle your car to one of their other locations if you also need service and maintenance). The people at Lehman's Garage provided prompt, personable, and professional service. I was impressed with the service I received; there's clearly a focus on customer service. The administrative assistant was friendly and competent. Jim, the person handling my repair, was accessible by email and phone and called me when my repair was finished. Best of all, he had the awesomest Minnesota accent! I also like how you can sign up to check on the status of your repair on their website, complete with pictures of the progress. One suggestion would be to make the website a little more secure; anyone can access the photos to your repair and there may be identifiable information like license plate numbers in the photos. In the end, I was happy with the repair and paint job. Granted, I know very little about cars, but it looked good to me! Would I recommend Lehman's? Oh yah, you becha!

But I had to bring my car in to them for estimates twice and, after three weeks, they still hadn't written up an estimate for repair. Nor did they ever contact me, even though they had my email and cellphone number. I finally had to have my insurer call them and confirm they hadn't done anything even when, twice, they'd told me they'd upload an estimate within a few hours. After wasting three weeks with Lehman's Downtown, I went to another bodyshop, which did an estimate in 40 minutes and immediately uploaded the figures to my insurer. I heard back from my insurer three hours later. So I wouldn't go to Lehman's Downtown unless you have a high tolerance for delay, poor communication, and getting the run-around. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I chose Lehman's Downtown partly based on the positive feedback on Yelp, so I thought it was important for people to know they don't always live up to that praise.

They made me very happy although it took a few visits…read more The driver's side mirror on my car was beginning to get tarnished and German Autoworks said replacing it with a new part would cost me $120 or so; they suggested I try Harmon. I called Harmon and they took down the details to get the right non-original replacement. It would cost me about $30. When I showed up, I found out the replacement never got ordered. So I made another appointment a few days out, and this time, the replacement turned out to be a mismatch. One of the staff came up with a great idea to solve the situation - they would carve out the mirror since an exact replacement could not be found. It would cost me $50. Went back a third time, got the work done in under 30 minutes, and now, I keep admiring the shiny new mirror when I'm driving.

They provided an estimate that was in line with other estimates, they had a rental car waiting for me when I brought my car into the shop, they made all the communications with the insurance companies, gave me regular updates on the progress and any additional work to be done once they disassembled the rear bumper and panels, let me know when the car was completed and took care of the rental at the shop when I came in to pick up my car. All this with a smile and professionalism. Oh yes . . . and they detailed the whole interior (never seen my car so clean) and the work they did was perfect. So I chewed the guy out on the phone and told him and the shop to get fuckin bent and I'm getting it towed to a new place. When I got there to get it towed, they had completely snapped my key off and it is stuck in the ignition. So no wonder they hadn't worked on it they couldn't even turn it to neutral to move into shop. They never told me either, they consistently lied to me just feeding me bullshit I am so frustrated with this place and I rarely write reviews. So I hope this saves somebody the trouble off accidentally getting towed to or making an appointment at this hell hole.
