We googled and found it is possibly the CAN bus connector behind the glove box. We took the glove box out and all of a sudden the shifter was working, but the check engine light was still on (we don't know if it was a loose wire or what). So we drove it straight to the dealership to see we could get it scanned and into service. We were told by a service advisor that they are booking out a week for service. We agreed to book the first open time, but by the time of the appointment the check light went off and hadn't had anymore problems. We dropped it off anyway the Saturday before the Monday appt, just so they had first thing in the morning. I called before they closed and asked if a technician had looked at it or if they were able to get it to happen again. The service advisor then proceeded to tell me that yes I made an appt, but that was just to drop my vehicle off. It was going to be another 4 to 5 days before a technician would look at it because there are about 30 to 40 vehicles in que before mine. So when did making an appointment for service, start being an appointment to drop my vehicle off and hope it is looked at within the next week? If this is how this service center runs now, I will take my van to another dealership. I talked to the dealership I bought the van from and asked about their appointment process. They told me the appointment is with a service advisor and then sent to a service tech and most of the time it is looked at on the day of the appointment, especially if it's a morning appointment. They were shocked when I told them what the service advisor from the other dealership told me. They said that is not how it works at their dealership. So is it this service centers new way of doing things or is it the service advisor way of doing things. Note this is the first time with this service advisor because my regular own was not there.

This review is for KIA on ATLANTIC on Abess Blvd:…read more The ultimate "shady used car" experience -- but on a brand-new car. As a senior, I have bought many cars, but this was hands-down the most regretful car buying experience of my life. The deception started immediately: the salesman told us we were buying a 2026 Kia K4, but it turned out to be a leftover 2025 model. The finance manager, Tony Rushiti, was incredibly dishonest. He refused to show us any hard numbers during the process (why I didn't walk I can't tell you), hiding behind a digital-only system (no paper printouts to view) and "monthly payment" tactics. Against my better judgment, we finished the deal and were handed a thumb drive with 47 poorly named PDFs. The contract in our files does NOT match the contract this Kia dealership sent to Kia Financing. Kia Financing contract is much higher. When I finally got home after 6 plus hours at Kia, I finally dug through the files, I discovered total fraud. The $2,000 discount we negotiated was completely left off. Instead, Tony snuck in "premium protection packages" and massive fees that inflated a $30,000 car to a staggering $52,000. To top it off, despite my wife having Tier 1 credit, he locked her into a 7.25% interest rate. Avoid Tony Rushiti and Kia on Atlantic at all costs.

I was told that my indicator and brake light was not working. I took my car to KIA and the service manager Tom, stated gleefully that it would cost around $275 for the mechanic to check my car, and this would mean if the repair cost $500.00 it would automatically cost $775. for the repair. I called KIA headquarters, and they stated if that's what they told you then they were correct. I have been a loyal customer and only was 1.000 miles over 50.000 miles. As a matter of fact, I don't know how long my taillight was out. I don't know any other dealer service that would charge that amount to just look at your car. I have been told there was a charge sometime to look at my vehicle, but it was taken off of the final charge if the work was done at KIA. Toyota and Hyundai still have the same policy and my next car most definitely won't be a KIA. I always boasted about KIA, since 2000, when KIA was unknown. Never again. They have very unprofessional service technicians that obviously do not know what they are doing. Never buy a vehicle from this place. And NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SERVICE CENTER!

I've worked with her in the past for service and repairs, and the experience I had last week was definitely an outlier compared to the care she provides. Ashley has truly repaired the relationship between myself and Coggin Ford. I hope her professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service skills can be used as a standard for the rest of the service department Since everything is fully resolved, I am updating my review to reflect the outstanding job she did in rectifying the situation. Thank you Ashley!!!! -----------------------------‐------------------- Original review I've been a loyal Ford customer for years and have leased and purchased multiple Ford vehicles in the past and currently. Unfortunately, my experience with Coggin Ford has been the worst customer service and warranty experience I've ever had. I own a 2021 Ford Explorer that had a major sunroof issue about two years ago. I paid roughly $2,000 out of pocket to have the entire sunroof unit replaced. Since that replacement, it's been one issue after another--ranging from minor mistakes to major, costly problems. First, the wind deflector was never reinstalled after the replacement. They eventually "found" it two days later and installed it. Then, rainwater began collecting inside the sunroof area because the drainage was never opened properly during installation. The final and most serious issue was when the sunroof mechanism went off track, causing the fabric to get stuck in the rails. Despite this clearly being related to the replacement work, this major repair was not covered under warranty and cost me another $1,000. On top of that: - No loaner or rental car was provided - Repairs took almost 10 days - I received zero proactive updates--no calls, texts, or emails - I had to constantly call just to get basic information To top it all off, when my vehicle was finally repaired at 8:00 AM, no one bothered to notify me. I called around 6:00 PM for an update and was told, "Your car has been ready since this morning, but we close at 7:00 PM, so you need to get here before then if you want it today." Outstanding "world-class" service... not. Thanks, Coggin Ford, for the frustration, unnecessary charges, and complete lack of customer care. I will never return for service or purchase another vehicle here again.

After 11 days finally got a new tire and mounted (yes, you are reading this correctly). It took 3 business days to get a service advisor assigned, and it was a Herculean feat to get through to a live advisor to get a status update, typically getting put on hold for 20-30 minutes. Once an advisor got assigned, I was able to text them and get updates. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my truck back here for service.
