If I could give this business more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Time after time when I am not home and unable to help my wife with vehicle issues they have been there. From big issues like repairing essentially half of a front end, to tiny ones like putting a window back on its rails. A wrangler, an '88 converted dodge camper van and two separate sprinter vans. (We like our camper vans) Hill has been kind, fair, does a phenomenal job with communication, completes jobs, and is willing to work with customers just to lend a helping hand. A shop that is not even in my home state is the only shop I've ever gone back to more than once. Did I mention the pricing is fair? Because it's pretty d**n good. Thank you guys for everything. I payed $1773 to hill auto to fic problem with noises coming from front end they said take it to goodyear to get it alligned since front end parts were replaced the tech at goodyear said there are still problems with front end so I took it back to hill auto and they told me it needs another part for the front end that they dont sell anymore so to bad im screwed sorry so now im out 1623.25 that I payed hill auto and and 149.99 I payed to goodyear for the allignment and my car does not run any better then it did when I first took it to them either they are scammers that rip you off on purpose or dont know what the hell they are doing either way its bad for you I would not reccomend anybody to get work done at this place or this might happen to you read more

Still my go-to mechanic. I've had a couple of issues with my car, and they have been able to diagnose and fix each time.

I called on a Thursday and Jeff Hill got me scheduled to bring my vehicle on Friday morning. I needed my rear brake pads replaced and to have them check my front end suspension for any replacements of sway bar bushings or struts. The front end had no pr and it took them less than 2 hours to replace the brake pads. Jeff is very professional, courteous and most importantly, very honest to work with. I used the same mechanic, for years, without any issues. This year, I took my truck in for minor work and kept having to take it back for the same issues. I told the mechanic, several times, the problems I was having and asked him to please let me know what was wrong and give a quote for the repairs. He didn't address several concerns and never gave me feedback or quotes. The last time the service engine soon light came on, I called James, with Hill Automotive. We discussed the problems I was having and I was scheduled to bring my truck in the next day. Within a few hours, after dropping my truck off, he called to let me know what was wrong and gave me the price to fix it. My fuel pump needed to be replaced. They had it ready for me by the end of the day. My former mechanic had it no less than 8 times, over 3 months, and drove it multiple times. I told him several times I was having difficulty starting it. Never told me what was wrong. It start's great now. I will definitely recommend Hill's to family and friends. read more

Thank God for Hill Automotive!! I was taken advantage of by one of the repair chains repeatedly and desperately needed a HONEST, reliable, and reasonably priced mechanic. My son's friend recommended Hill Automotive. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I had the car towed there at 2pm on a Tuesday. By 4:30 the repair was done. They understood my workday and allowed me to pay over the phone and locked the keys in the car at my request so I could pick it up after their business hours. They went out of their way for me when I was in need - that type of service is a rare find. To top it all off the cost of the repair was so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I had to lower Hill Autos rating from 3 stars to just 1. Last December I had to have the rack and pinion replaced on my Buick. It is now 10 months later and it needs to be replaced again, so I would have to say something is wrong. I don't think this repair is suppose to last only 10 months. This work in under warranty but only if you live in the area, if you move or out of town when the repair is needed you are out of luck (ie not really a warranty at all) The part itself is covered because the part has a warranty, but labor is not which is 300 bucks this time, Hill said they would chip in 100, but I didn't think I was getting 33 percent of a warranty. The only thing I can think to protect yourself is go with a nation wide shop who honors their work and roll the dice. Be careful! read more

Wrote the review below earlier but just took my car in to Hill and talked to them about the negative reviews. They remembered them and told me that they had sent all new parts for the rack and pinion repair to the individual with the Buick and given him half of his money back, not 1/3. That is not at all the norm and very generous...They lost money on this because the guy lived out of area and couldn't come back to FL. His word against the shops but because of my decade long relationship with Hill, I believe them. I work on cars myself and only take it to the shop if special tools are required for the repair. In over ten years if having Hill work on my cars, there have been very few issues and when there have been, they have made it right. The negative reviews I have read are clearly by people who don't know anything about cars. When a car won't start you test the components.Testing a starter and starter solenoid is black and white, either it is good or not and it is easy to tell. My experience with Hill is that they go out of thier way to avoid unecessary charges and always try to make a complaint right. I have a hard time believing that they would risk thier reputation by not admitting they damaged a battery that would cost them 40 bucks wholesale. If you are untrusting of a repair ask for the old parts back, or in the case of an item that has to be returned to make the new one cheaper (core charge) have them show you how they know it's bad. I guarantee you, Hill will do that. The rack and pinion problem, could have been a bad repair but Hill will always make it right. I do agree that if you are away from your home you should always use a repair service with nationwide locations so they can honor their warranty. read more

Great trustworthy repair shop. Mike S gave Hill a one star but I think there is more to the story then is described. I had front struts put on 05 Dakota. Hill quoted me a price for labor only since I had the parts. One of the strut bolts was so rusted it took much longer and he had to use a press to remove it. Still he charged me what was quoted. The dealer would have charge me for the additional work plus they charged tax on the labor which is wrong. Great job Jeff at Hill automotive and thank you. read more

Once again Jeremy and Hill Automotive has come through for us. I can't say enough good things about the service and Jeremy. This is the second time that I have had to have my car towed in for 2 different reasons and I drive a high end vehicle. The price difference for repairs between Hill and others is phenomenal! The first repair we had done the car had to come back. It was at closing time and it was fixed on the spot! I do not need anything in writing for a guarantee or warranty, I know it's there and they have proved it. Just one of the many reasons I will only take my vehicles to Hill Automotive and why I continue to pass out their cards and spread the word to anyone need automotive service. One last thing...if my car were to break down somewhere like Savannah or Orlando it would be towed directly to Hill no matter what the tow fee. I think you all get my point! I have been using Hill Automotive for six years with several vechicle makes and models. I've always been satisfied with the service and price on every type of work done. The best example was my daughters 2001 civic needed an electric sensor replaced and Hill's did the work (with part) for half of what the Hoda dealer wanted.
