I was getting new tires across the street so I decided to give City Bagel a try while I wait for my car. I ordered an everything bagel and latte and just sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and my bagel and coffee. The bagel was good, comparable to the Paneras of the world. The latte was good as well. My only comment is that I can taste flavoring (possibly chai from the latte that was ordered before me). I generally like my coffee to only be coffee, I don't do flavoring like mocha, vanilla, chai, caramel, etc. Minus the added flavor that I didn't care for, it was a good coffee. Temperature was perfect! As for parking and ambiance. I walked here but there is plenty of parking in the center. City Bagels has seating both inside and outside. The decor is dated but it seems that an elderly couple owns and operates this place. Update the look of this place a bit and be more aware of flavoring spillover and this place would be five stars. read more

Got the garlic bagel breakfast sandwich. I got it with eggs, bacon and ham. They were pretty skimpy with the meat. My coworkers got a chocolate bagel and a sesame bagel sandwich. They did not appreciate the 3 bagels being squished in 1 tiny brown bag. By the time we ate them the chocolate tasted garlicy and it was just not a good experience. We also got the avocado toast which was excellent, the avocados were fresh and the lemon pepper was a great touch. The bagels themselves are fresh and have great texture and flavor. This shop is run by the nicest hardest working couple! They are up early but always so pleasant and friendly. Great customer service! I only read to the phrase "pizza bagel" on the menu. I do not remember much else. The pizza and bagel were properly united unlike most people in this country, and the bagel was priced very reasonably, if not cheaply. I took everything from this bagel: the cheese, the sauce, the bread, and the pepperoni. I gave it my all in return though. The staff served this particular bagel very quickly and skillfully. Fabulous and fresh bagels! They have so many fun flavors and toppings. I got a tomato Basil bagel with cream cheese, to oat or slices, avocado and lemon pepper- it was sooooo good! I paid 7.50$ for basically half the amount of bagel if I had just ordered a default bagel with cream cheese it would've been cheaper and more food. Do not get a bagel stick We paid 15$ total for a meal that typically is under 10$, and a lot better. I think the prices are high since there is not many bagel shops around. !!! RIP OFF ALERT !!! AVOID - AVOID - AVOID I love salt bagels and thought this place would be a good solution. THREE PROBLEMS and a GOUGE! 1 - There is probably more salt in the dough than on the bagel. There were literally a dozen or so grains of salt on the outside of the bagel. Is salt too expensive? Read on to see a trend. 2 - The smear was pathetic. I mean you have to purposely be trying to put the least amount of cream cheese on this bagel as you possibly can to produce what was given to me.....and see #3 for the real kick in the #@%&s! 3 - They charge 5 bucks for a bagel with cream cheese, but hey I must be a block from the beach or in some fancy part of town. NOPE! You're in a dire mini-mall in Palencia that includes a closed down Big Lots, dry cleaner, barbershop, and a coil laundry. !! GOUGED !!! They have an automatic 14% service charge added to the bill with a TIP line too. Greedy, greedy owners. One positive note is that aside from skimping on the salt the bagel does appear to be being made correctly (boiled then baked), but it is missing something. Good amount of cream cheese, but the smoked salmon was from Costco - I am almost 100% sure because I get it regularly there. Thinly sliced red onion capers, and juicy tomatoes made this a best bagel I have had in a long while.
