The service was great and the food is not bad 8-9/10. I got the turkey, bacon, lettuce,tomato on jalapeño cheese bread and it was good 8-9/10 but the food here is pretty expensive. The wife got an eggs, tomato, avocado, and cheese on a jalapeño without cheese bagel and she gave her sandwich an 8/10. The two sandwiches plus a cup of orange juice and fountain soda came out to about $40 including tip. Overall it's not bad and the quality of food is good. Just an awful experience this morning. Front employees yelling at the only cook in the back. Super disorganized. Ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, avocado and lemon pepper. There was barely any cream cheese on it and 1/4 avocado at best. My order was to go and I didn't realize how poorly made it was until I got to work. A toasted bagel with barely any avocado for $12.50 is absolute robbery. I expected better and more than the slim pickings that I was served. They have incredible smoothies and I recommend the Watermelon Shooter. The employees are so nice at this location! The only downside is how expensive Bagel Me has gotten. Their BLT on parmesan grilled sourdough is around $14.99 and the smoothies start at around $7.99 with a large being close to $12. One of my favorite bagel places in the area! I will say though you do have to order pretty early to get what you actually want because they do run out fast but if I'm up early enough I love getting bagel me. *This review is based SOLELY on ordering food from Bagel Me through a food delivery service... I ordered through UberEats. (*Under normal circumstances I would rate Bagel Me me a 5 star... ALL of their food is delicious!) I have to admit though, I never really ordered any kind of food delivery service prior to Covid, I never thought it was very safe and I've always been a very germ cautious person. But since Covid I have LOVED how the restaurants are now sealing food containers, taping cup lids, sealing bags closed etc... Bagel me does NONE of this. As A matter of fact, the top item in my bag was a smaller open bag of fries... wide open, not even folded over. My bagel was also placed in an open bag (but it was at least wrapped in foil) everything was put together in a brown bag (that was also open at the top) and placed inside of a plastic shopping type bag. The fries went straight into the trashcan. I'm not saying the Uber driver helped himself to a fry or two but it was a particularly small size order for the almost 5 dollars that I paid for it. I love bagel me, this review has nothing to do with their food, as mentioned above it is always delicious, literally everything I've ever had from there has been so good... but they take ZERO health and safety type precautions with food through these delivery services and I am not OK with that. Honestly one of the worst bagel experiences in my 29 years of living. Ordered the bagel egg melt with sausage which was an astounding 18 dollars. The eggs were an awful texture, no seasoning, and definitely cooked in the microwave. The bagel was a little flat and dense, no crust and fluff like you deserve for 18 dollars. The sausage on the bagel reminded me of the sausages you get in the freezer section of the grocery store. Reminiscent of cafeteria food. I get that prices are a bit higher everywhere, but $25 for a dozen bagles, before taxes and without cream cheese? . As an example, a bakers dozen at Einstein's Bagels is $15. A bakers dozen with cream cheese is $19.49. I get that Bagel Me is a smaller enterprise than a large franchise like Einstein's, but it is still difficult to justify paying $10 more for a dozen bagels. The egg chedder and sausage bagel I bought at Bagel Me was $15. Compare that with the same at Einstein's being $8.00. Bagel Me's tagline is 'The Best Bagels on Earth' and regretably, their prices are reflective of that belief. No thank you; I don't want to drive 15 mins for the bacon missing on my now covered in sausage juice $14.15 bagel, and no I don't want store credit as I learned my lesson. Apparently it's literally impossible to issue a refund on a card and requires a trip down to get cash for some reason. Oh and just for some funinsult to injury they did offer to make a new one correctly (no sausage or sausage juice, and bacon as requested), but this ruined bagel was the last jalapeño cheddar. Is this way too over the top for a bagel review?
