Jay and his team worked hard to make our wedding day beautiful! I loved all the floral arrangements, centerpieces, bouquets, etc. He was a great communicator and our meeting with him was very quick and productive. They definitely seemed like they have a lot of experience and the fact that they've worked with our venue several times was a huge plus for us. I was blown away by how beautiful everything looked! Note that they are located in K-town so you'd need to account for LA traffic when meeting up with them or looking to book them for your venue. Our wedding was in Palos Verdes, but they managed to get there in a timely manner and even arrived earlier to ensure everything could be set up on time. Our only negative experience with them is that they dropped off the flowers (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres) at the ceremony venue an hour earlier than they were supposed to and did not communicate that with us. This was unfortunate because there was a different couple getting married at that time and in order to avoid confusion with the 2 weddings, the chapel moved the flowers elsewhere and we were thrown off when the flowers were not where Jay said they would be. I had to do my first look without my bouquet for this reason, which wasn't really a big deal but it would've been nice to have been able to do it with my "complete" look. Our main instructions were "beautiful" and boy did they deliver. Everything was gorgeous. Jay handled the flowers and also candles for the centerpieces. He pulled the fire permit for the candles and made sure that we followed everything to code. The groom asked for poppies for the boutonnieres, and while they weren't in season Jay offered a similar option that was fabulous. Jay knows what he is doing and I would totally trust him to do any event. He was my florist for my wedding this past May of 2016. We were married at Calamigos Equestrian and the flowers came out absolutely stunning. I also hired Jay because I saw his work at another friend's wedding and he had such fresh, high quality flowers, aka roses that actually smell like roses. My bridal bouquet blew me out of the water, it was STUNNING. It was I believe all peonies (my favorite flower) and in about 4 different varieties. The colors were perfect as well with little bits of pink cone shaped plants and soft velvelty leaves, etc and anyway it was MASSIVE as well. In our photos it was way bigger than my head or my husband's and it was so heavy it gave me hand cramps but who cares! I was just blown away by Jay's work on my bouquet and my bridesmaid's bouquets. For the groom he used a single huge peony as well, and the other boutonnieres were orchids for family, etc. The centerpieces were so beautiful too I was REALLY sad they died. Anyways, he's incredibly reasonably priced and has such an amazing eye with tons of experience. He also owns his own flower shop downtown in the floral district so you really do get a good deal. Also out of the kindness of his heart he made me an incredible flower crown to wear for my engagement shoot that was just amazing quality as well. I don't know how he does it but he has the freshest flowers with the best eye for floral design. He's a true artist with his flowers and he decorated our cake, our huge arch with drapery and also lent us the vases for the centerpieces. I'm not from the area but my parents and I were looking for a flower shop to grab some flowers for my grandparents grave. We came across this shop, slightly desparate. The woman was very nice and arranged roses and baby breath that I picked out. My mom asked how much it would be and the woman herself didn't know... but she just said $30. She cut the roses nicely and wrapped them in soft tissue paper and topped it off with a ribbon. It was so beautiful, and for a cheap price! Wow is an understatement on what Jay can do for any floral design or decoration. He surpassed all my expectations for my wedding at Terranea Resort. Although our wedding was in Orange County, because we live in San Francisco, I didn't have much time to fly down to OC to meet with vendors.
