City Fun Center is probably as ideal as you can get for the experience of a modern (post-90's) arcade when the focus of your visit is playing the actual games. I tend to visit when I have family to entertain, but don't want to get covered in the filth and chaos of a certain rat-based child casino. And I don't feel like making the trek to mission valley just to get not good food and drinks at Mr. David and Mr. Buster's place. The variety of games here is good. I appreciate having some classics in the mix, but a few of the standards need help (please get Q*Bert serviced). Several pin ball machines are available as well. The redemption games are a focus, as to be expected. We've alway had friendly staff and the folks working the prize counter are great at keeping it together in a role that would probably send me on a grippy socks vacation. These folks are the heroes of the operation and do a good job of making the little ones of the family feel special. I'm a big fan of how clean and organized the arcade is versus its competition.

Very clean, new fun center in Poway by an In-N-Out with a good parking lot. Well-staffed, friendly, and courteous employees. Unlike Chuck E Cheese, everything was in great working order and all the tickets get added to your card. It is a huge upgrade from Chuck E Cheese but still squarely for kids. Lots of fun games like Skee-Ball, arcade games, and newer video games like Minecraft Dungeons. The mini bowling lanes do not require special shoes and have bumpers/rails for the gutters. There is a gorgeous glow in the dark mini golf course with 3D artwork for $14 per person (but we didn't play). There is pizza and a bar outside of the play area (but we didn't have any). There were a couple of birthday parties going on, but even then, it wasn't crowded despite it being a Saturday afternoon. My spouse said that the bathroom was clean Good place to visit for those with tweens!

What do you do with a kiddo who loves golf and pirates bring him to city of fun where the arcade is packed with all the shooting, dance and nostalgic games combine with glow in the dark pirate mini golf, laser tag and bowling all rolled into one. It was the perfect way to enjoy some fun on a Friday afternoon. We loved the glow in the dark mini golf although for only 9 holes it was expensive for the short game. The little mini loved it and just wanted to master each hole. Next to the arcade. $25 dollars on the arcade card lasted maybe an hour lol. At 6 you're playing for fun and not so much for the prizes. He was a little small for a lot of the games but that doesn't stop him from the excitement and his little heart exploding with will power to play every game possible. If we had his siblings laser tag would have been next or bowling so next time we will be more prepared. This is great for bday parties as they had dedicated rooms for gathering and the entire place for the minis to run loose. I loved they also had a separated food court so that gives the kids a break to refuel before loading up their game card with mommy and daddies money. Yes, still not old enough to work so here we are human atm machines lol. All in all it is small but we had a blast and loved all the Halloween decor! He was knocked out as soon as we hit the road back home! lol

Food is pretty good- limited menu of pizza, chicken strips, tots/fries, hot dogs, pretzels. My 8 year old loves this place for the games and we tried the food last night . Not bad at all!

First time here .. this is a smaller arcade , fun zone . This place is fairly new and maintained well . They have a cafe area ( we ate elsewhere this time ) so not sure how the food is . It's fairly costly so maybe look at their website and see if they have any special deals . Luckily I only had one child with me so price wasn't horrible . Friendly employees . I'm not sure if I would go again but I know quite a few people who visit here often so it's really based on what your looking to d

City fun center was really entertaining and it was great because it had good ticket games. The games were a little expensive. They also had an indoor glow in the dark golf course for 14 dollars for 9 holes of golf. Most of the games were 10-12 points with each point being a value of $0.10 so about one game play for $1. We got $20 per card which was the lowest at 200 points and it lasted us 1 hour and 30 min. The games were a variety of new ones and old ones but I would recommend the harpoon lagoon game for tickets. There was a variety of prizes but the higher ticket costs were for Legos like 90,000 tickets. In one visit you could get 2000 tickets. Service was good and the arcade area was clean.

A fun ticket and arcade gaming, and mini-golf, spot for the kiddos and the accompanying adults, but the pizza is GARBANZO beans! Came here to celebrate my nephew's 8th birthday, and he was PUMPED to say the least. His parents rented one of the rooms so my nephew and 15-20 of his friends could party the afternoon away. The room came with an awesome event host named Gia, who really took care of the kids and parents alike. Gia did such a great job, we spoke with their manager to let them know how great they were. Ask for Gia by name. I'm not sure how it was all packaged, but there was pizza, chicken strips, fries, tater tots, and loaded tots (covered in marinara and cheese). The food was most definitely sub-par. My favorites were the flat chicken strips and the frozen fries. As I stated, the pizza was bogus-really sweet sauce, cheapo cheese, and don't even get me started on the crust; it was like one of them lunchable joints...lol. For as cool as this spot was, they most definitely could improve their food offerings. They also had cake for kiddos. After everyone was done eating, Gia came in to play a special game with my nephew that earned him a ton of extra tickets. Also, each card the kids received (used to play games and stores your tickets) came pre-loaded with tickets and "tokens or points"-pointa are used for games and the tickets are redeemable for prizes, which was really cool. We even got down, and played a number of rounds of mini-basketball! They have a lot of what appeared to be newer games, that were in good condition, and the place appeared to be really clean. Bring out the kids, but maybe think about grubbing on some In-N-Out afterwards, since it's right next door. Thanks CFC!

How much is laser tag per person?

We do not have laser tag at our new Poway location, we have mini-bowling ($6 pp) and blacklight 3d miini golf ($14 pp). We have lazer frenzy, which is a laser maze where you attempt to reach targets without breaking laser beams. We had laser tag…

How much is the mini golf per person?

$14 for 9 hole blacklight 3d glow in the dark pirate themed minigolf... takes about 30 min to play. Thanks for asking.. come check it out.

Is there a grand opening date yet?

Sadly, no yet .. but soon!!!!! Perhaps by years' end .. keep checking the website and facebook.

When will the location in Poway open? My kids were so happy when we saw your sign on the building.

We are targeting late fall for our grand opening. Please check out our website and facebook for further details.

Planning to try out the Pump it Up cabinet after you reopen. Will it still be available?

At this time we are not planning on adding a pump it up to our game selection when we open. We will certainly consider it for the future.

Looking forward to your reopening..Are you going to have any pinball machines?

We are hoping to have 3 or 4 pins... titles to be determined. Actively working just to get the doors open at this point. Thanks for remembering us. Steve

12900 Gregg Court in Poway. Corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Community Road, next to the Kohl's and In-n-Out.

June 2 2023 - still planning on reopening?

We are still awaiting our building permit from the City of Poway. Upon receipt, my contractor should be able to provide me with a more accurate opening date. I fear that June 2nd may be too agressive at this point. We are targeting June 16th,…

We have reopened for just Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 11am - 7pm for the momment.

Do you still have an In the Groove 2 machine?

We have a pump it up machine

    Are there any Halloween events?

We are fully decorated, have an entire prize cabinet dedicated to Halloween plus a free candy basket. We elected not to have the extravaganza this year as we have something big planned for early next year.

I likely would have purchased something if there was something at the alley, but I didn't and felt like that was lost opportunity for the bowling alley to make more money. It's nice though that the bowling alley isn't a money grab. What I also loved about this place is that they don't have an arcade, which we all know definitely is a money grab that we have to budget for when taking kids to any other bowling establishment. I'm not sure if it was because it was Labor Day weekend but it was definitely below standards of service. I had a male and female bartender Sunday evening as we had to sit at the first come first serve area, which was not bad, but things were a little off. So the mail came over and we asked for Long Island iced teas. He explained the difference between the two that were being served, and we decided to go with the original. At $15.99 I can say that I have had better long Islands as this definitely was not blended well I tasted more sour than the combination that makes a long island a Long Island. Not complaining about it but going over the menu we decided to order wings and not deviate from the original plan although there were other things on the menu that did look tempting. The female bartender comes over looking at me asked what can I help you with I start talking and then she abruptly turned to the lady that she just finished serving and runs her tab without saying excuse me just one moment. It was rather embarrassing honestly and I totally wouldn't understood if she needed time to adjust the other customers tab. It was how she did it that made me feel awkward as I was mid sentence.... She did come back and apologize and said what were you saying? Now the younger version of me would've asked for another bartender, but it just blew it off. I ordered two orders of chicken wings, one lemon pepper, and one the classic buffalo. The chicken wings here never miss but today it was a hit and miss at this location. The drinks were definitely not worth the price as normally $15.99 a drink would not have bothered me because like I said, the Long Islands normally be popping. The wings tonight could have definitely been better on the classic buffalo. The wings had sauce on them and they're still warm, but they are not fresh fresh as the sauce begins to look thick in the wings like it wasn't freshly tossed.. Now the lemon pepper was great. I must say Dave & Buster's does know how to cook wings but I'm guessing now you have to request that they cook them fresh and I've never had to do that before but maybe again like I said it being Labor Day weekend people probably had been ordering them so much they had them on rotation which is a good and bad thing. Cook my food fresh to order, please. Did this experience ruin my night at Dave & Buster's?? they have me looking at them side eye for sure!!!!! When I do return, I will be paying close attention to how my drink is mixed for sure and also if I do get any wings at this location, I'm asking for them to be freshly prepared. Would I recommend D&Bs absolutely it makes for a great night when they get it right and you can bring the kids if you want. She personally reached out, genuinely cared about my feedback, and even let me know that they updated their wine menu. That definitely says a lot about a business. Based on my previous comments, they updated their wine menu and added better options. Obviously, this isn't meant to be a high-end wine bar, but it was nice to come back and see the improvement. The new selections were a much better fit for the atmosphere and experience. I also tried the "No Strings Attached" drink, which was such a fun and unique cocktail. It's made with Champagne poured into a tube, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet. It was refreshing and definitely something different. I also gave the espresso martini a try, but it was a little too sweet for my personal preference. If you're not someone who enjoys sweeter cocktails, I'm sure they'd be happy to adjust it. This is definitely a younger crowd, with most guests appearing to be in their 20s, but it's a really fun and energetic spot. The space itself is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities to keep a group entertained. The complimentary basketball is still one of my favorite things about this place and seems to be a huge hit. They also have shuffleboard, pool tables, and bowling. You can reserve bowling through OpenTable, but keep in mind it is on the pricier side at around $50 per person for an hour. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, I'd recommend coming on the weekend. If you want something a little more relaxed where you can enjoy the space without as much of a crowd, I'd suggest visiting during the week. Overall, I really appreciate a business that listens to customer feedback and takes action.
