It is clear that parts of the sectional were not even used so it is clear of the issue. I bought a warranty that cover the sectional. The service warranty technician came and diagnosed the issue that insufficient foam causing the sagging and yet they do not want to fix my Sectional. I bought it just Dec 2023 and still under warranty. I am going to get in touch with the reginal manager of Orlando area and will update this review. I purchased a cabinet and I was told they only had one left. The one on the floor was damaged but my Salesperson assured us that if I did receive it and it was damaged that I was to reject the delivery. When it arrived it was totally damaged, a door was ripped off, outside had alot of damage, nothing could be repaired. The delivery person refused to take it back, I spoke to his manager that also refused. They left and I called the store. I was told it was not refundable and even though I had the warranty they would not help. I went to the store and the Salesperson worked hard to help. I finally got a refund for the cabinet, but not for the shipping cost that was excessive. The piece should have never been shipped out since it was obviously damaged and could not even be sold in their Outlet Store. They have no concern for the customer. I purchased a couch **plus their stain protection package** (which is supposed to give you peace of mind). When a stain occurred, I followed their process exactly. A technician came out and **could not remove the stain**. Here's where it gets ridiculous * The couch is **no longer sold in stores** * I was told my *only* option was to wait **12 weeks** for casing covers (which is already unacceptable--covering a problem is not fixing it) * THEN I get a call saying **the parts aren't even available anymore** So after all that, they now say they'll "NOT move forward with the claim." This entire process has been misleading, exhausting, and honestly feels like **fraud**. Selling a protection plan and then failing to honor it when it's actually needed is unacceptable. Located on the outside east end of Pembroke Lakes Mall, this furniture store is a decent location but not huge so the options are maybe limited compared to other companies with larger locations/selections. Jhoesph (I think that's the spelling) was very helpful in our search unfortunately though we didn't find anything we really liked. There is plenty of staff to help for the size. This location used to bake cookies which made the showroom smell delightful but I guess that is a thing of the past like many things. Prices are comparable to other stores in the area. read more

I purchased a mattress from City Furniture of Pembroke Pines about a month ago after being promised 60 months of interest-free financing by both the salesperson Jideofor Agudosi (Jaydee) and the store manager Mari. This financing offer was the only reason I agreed to spend more than I had planned. Unfortunately, I've now discovered that the credit card company is charging interest -- contradicting what was clearly promised at the time of purchase. I returned to the store to resolve the issue, but the manager no longer works there and I haven't been able to speak to anyone helpful. I've called three times since, and each time I was denied access to the salesperson and told no manager was available. This experience has been extremely disappointing and feels deceptive. I would strongly advise others to get any promises from this store in writing and double-check all financing terms with the credit provider directly before purchasing read more

Terrible experience purchasing a couch. Before I placed order I was told one piece was on back order for 2 weeks. After placing the order and opening the city credit card I was informed 2 pieces on back order. Beware the 36 months free financing comes with a 2% origination fee that I do not remember hearing about but supposedly was disclosed to me at the store. The salesman then placed a delivery for two weeks later and said cannot get any sooner. Delivery experience was a nightmare. On first delivery they did not connect the sectionals together correctly and also we're missing the power adapter connection for the recliner but lied and said it did not recline because it had to have the end recliner attached also. So we were left with a partial couch that did not recline at all. The second delivery the driver called wrong number even though I gave clear instructions on multiple occasions with the correct number to call. After calling City furniture again, they finally corrected the phone number for delivery. Then when the driver arrived he was upset that he was supposed to connect the sectional pieces together and said it wasn't his job because it was two separate deliveries even though I had the delivery and installation service! Then he lied and said he connected the power for the recliners and rushed out in a hurry. The driver had a very poor attitude about providing the service I paid for. Soon after he left, we discovered the sectionals were not connected correctly and none of the chairs reclined and one was missing a connector for the power to work. I immediately called customer service to complain about the delivery and inoperable sectional with a missing adapter. Everyone I spoke with passes the buck. The customer service rep said do not worry the technician will come fully prepared with all equipment and resolve my issue and placed a service call for two days later. Today I waited for the technician all afternoon and it was now past 5pm without any messages or updates. Spoke with customer service rep who informed me the technician is running late and hopefully will come tonight in about one hour. I then spoke with the customer service supervisor and reached Lamoya. She said I am stuck with this purchase and said the technician will not have the transformer and she can mail it out to me. They expect me to put it together myself or wait another full wasted day waiting for a technician again. Meantime my sectional is not reclining is not operable and is uncomfortable. I waited for another hour and half and did not hear from the technician. I called customer service and they informed me the technician just had car trouble and will not be coming out at all. I WASTED day three of waiting for completion of this sectional! Now I have to wait for the technician to send me a message with the time window he will be coming out tomorrow. This will be day FOUR wasted at home waiting on completion of the sectional. Apparently my time is not respected or valuable to City Furniture. I already emailed Kate@cityfurniture.com only received a recorded phone call to share my experience with them! They do NOTHING! City furniture traps you in the sale by saying NO RETURNS or discounts even with all of the mistakes, valuable time wasted and resources to have someone home all the deliveries and visits. Their answer is "I signed the paper" so no refunds or discounts. Just deal with it and keep waiting as many times as it takes for them to correct their own mistakes and poor service. DO NOT sign any paperwork if you have partial delivery and WAIT until all pieces are delivered and WORKING. Without question the worst shopping experience of all time. The sales person (Allison) has no business selling crack, let alone furniture. I'm sure she's gone by now but this "poor excuse" for a salesperson never had the decency of returning a call or email after the sale was completed. When the furniture arrived there was a missing part. After several weeks it was finally delivered...I won't bore you with all the hell it took just to get someone to help me. I may sound strange saying this as a woman, but I hate buying furniture and anything to do with the home. I find it stressful. I stepped into City Furniture, mentally preparing myself. Not once. Not twice. But thrice. I went the first time to take a look at platforms and beds. I went the second time to place an order. I went the third time to see what else I could potentially purchase from there and after falling in love with a dining room table where I stubbed my toe, consequently deciding against the table, I didn't bother returning. Carlos was my guy and placed the order for me. I found him very attentive in person, but I wasn't too pleased with his lack of follow-up. One of my pieces was on back order and even after I e-mailed him, he never replied. Luckily the website is pretty user friendly, so I got my answers from there. As far as the deliveries (as I had multiple ones), they all came within their allotted times, sometimes even early. The men working always made sure to call ahead, as well, of course, the company itself sending a text with a tracker where you could see where they were. Very organized and efficient. There was only one error. At some point, someone mislabeled a piece and so my platform took longer than needed to set up after a month waiting for its accompanying headboard. I wasn't happy. Needless to say, they fixed this within the week, but I feel this shouldn't have happened to begin with, especially given the wait times for furniture arrival. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, but I shouldn't be considering myself fortunate for getting everything set up in less than two months! read more

Over the years, I have bought several pieces of furniture from this City Furniture. They have some really interesting pieces and others that are just sort of bland. I've never had any serious issues with them. Delivery was always within the allotted window time. I bought a bedroom set from them about 5 months ago. It seems to be good quality. As with other furniture stores in the area, the sales people follow too closely and can be somewhat pesty depending on who the sales person is. This is my pet peeve in life. Following me and peppering me with questions is not going to make me spend money. I assume that is true for a lot of other people as well. City Furniture has Wine and Design events monthly. I believe they rotate stores all throughout South Florida. Although someone did say that they have it monthly at the Pines store. I am not 100% sure. You can learn some helpful decorating tips like I did. People tend to interrupt the speaker so it drags out longer than it should. Questions are supposed to be asked at the end of the discussion but some people just don't pay attention to the rules. They offer a maximum of two glasses of wine and some subpar food offerings. I suggest eating before going to one of these events. All in all, I think City Furniture is a decent place to shop for furniture. Their pricing is fair and they have some free delivery from time to time throughout the year if you are an email subscriber. read more

I purchased a $2,400.00 bedroom set here. When it was delivered to my home , the furniture was in boxes. When we opened the boxes we noticed the furniture was all damaged and had mold and mildew. We called Citi Furniture within 24 hours to report the damage. We followed exactly what the policy was. City Furniture has given me the runaround and and it's been over 2 months now, and still nothing resolved. I even paid the extra couple of hounded Dollie's for the extra warranty. Came here to fantasize about a mirror that I have been looking for. I know what City Furniture prices look like and I would never buy a mirror from here. This is strictly furniture purchases from me. Upon entering the store the gentleman greeted me and my kids and was nice and friendly. We browsed around their wonderful and expensive selection. I know that on the weekends they make the best chocolate chip cookies for the kids. All in all City furniture has a great selection that caters for every generational style of home design. I asked them to please take both broken units and they refused again, leaving me one in the middle of my living room. I don't have time for this and I already missed two days of work. Our sales associate was helpful, but once the couch was delivered to us we noticed tons of defects, after dealing with scripted Customer Service representatives for half a day we finally got an exchange scheduled. The second couch came to us just as bad. In my attempt to not have them send out a third defective couch we asked to choose a new couch, knowing a refund would be an even bigger headache and anticipating that these defects are continuous throughout this line of couches. 'Customer service' remained on script saying that wasn't possible, but they could send out a third couch of the same brand. More work for the company since BOTH couches in this brand have had the same exact problems. Then Customer Service tells me the leather furniture in the show room is specially treated so that's why it doesn't look the same as the one delivered to me! I expect what I saw, not a defective version of it!!! The only reason we were coming here to buy a couch is that our last couch from them broke (under warranty) and they were unable to fix it because it had been discontinued. They offered us a credit for the broken couch (which they now have listed in their 'returned area' for $150 less than what we bought it for...it's 2+years old!!!) and we ended up spending an extra thousand dollars for this one. Highway robbery! Bought almost $20k in furniture here to be shipped to the Caribbean. After submitting my Bill of Lading I had to babysit the original sales member for my tax return for over 3 months. Then when I had enough a family member went in on my behalf to meet with the manager which was useless. The original sales associate and manager tell him they refunded some card that wasn't mine and basically it's not them. When I took a screen shot of the screen the manager was showing my family member it said cash was exchanged; inciting that some inside job was done and I was NOT the recipient‍‍. Jose Touzet is the most awful salesperson I've ever met, and his employment there makes sense because this box chain deceptive practices matches his demeanor. Quick to cheaply made, clunky, low quality, unsustainable, particle board type furniture in a hurry. Because the fine print says that one you receive it, there are NO returns. I've contacted customer service and they have a third party company that does the repairs. Well the technician at the first claim I did didn't do a good job and I reported the problem to the sales person, the manager of the store and customer service. I've provided pictures of the incident and I've also asked not to send that technician to the second claim I did because it happened again!! My wife and I went to the Pembroke Pines City Furniture store to purchase four dining room chairs for a previously purchased dining room table. When we entered the store we were greeted by a sales person named Angela Diez. We explain to Angela what we were looking for, and that we had previously seen the chairs at another store. We gave her the discription of the chairs and she took us right to them. We agreed to purchase four of them. ANGELA took us to a table where she proceed to write the order. When she finished completing the order she handed me the order for signing. It was then that I noticed that Angela Diez had added a delivery charge of $180.and an extended service contract without our permission. This made our purchase over $400.dollars more than my wife and I had calculated. When I question her about it and where was free delivery. She said that the $180.was for setting up. I said what set up is needed on a dining room chair. I told her to take that off and give me the free delivery!! When asked about the extended service, she replied that it was in case something happens to the chairs, we would get free in home service. It was then that I realized that this person was going to do anything to make as much commission on us including lying. I instructed her to remove the added charges and complete the order as is ! I would not recommend this store and be aware of Angela Diez. Who is not an honest person. read more
