    Me and Jennyfer after her teaching me how to drive my car!

    It's a long story, so buckle up... I bought my parents' old (not that old, a 2020) Subaru Crosstrek. I live in Illinois and my parents live in TX and bought it brand new from a dealership in Houston. Since they were coming up to visit me before Christmas, they drove the car up and left it with me instead of me waiting to sell my old car and purchase theirs when driving back to TX for the holidays. Currently, I work from home, so I did not drive it that often before driving two days to TX for holidays. The weather driving home was so horrible that the car wouldn't let me use cruise control. For hours at a time, I drove 50 mph or under. It was a long, frustrating, and tiring trip. The whole time sensors and lights were beeping at me. I did not go longer than 5 minutes without some sort of light on some part of the dashboard going off or some beep happening. At one point I even called my mom in tears asking for guidance on what to do. While some of her pointers helped, I arrived at their home after two days of the car driving me crazy and was considering trading it in. It was that awful of a drive. The only positives I could mention at that time were that I made the 1,000-mile trip on 2 tanks of fuel (seriously! That is hella efficient.) And 2 times I probably should have hydroplaned off the road due to high water on the roads and being stuck between 18-wheelers or other large vehicles in construction zones. That car was like Jesus, it walked across water! Seriously though, in any other car I would have at least fishtailed, if not gone off the road, but that car didn't hesitate to handle those road conditions. After speaking with my mom, the person who drove it before I purchased it, I decided to make an appointment with a Subaru dealership to learn how to drive it. That sounded so silly to me. I want to drive a car, not a computer. And yet, I know that is how most cars are being made. Gone are the days of popping the hood on a truck and the engine having so few parts that you can see through to the ground below. Since part of my holidays would be spent in Austin visiting friends, I made an appointment at the Buda Subaru location to be educated on the vehicle. Making the appointment online was super simple. The two gentlemen I met when I walked into the Service Department were incredibly kind and understanding. Then Jennyfer, the sales associate assigned to my appointment, was the best Christmas present! She was so patient with me while I listed out all my frustrations with the vehicle. She went through my entire list of concerns and taught me everything I needed to know. Not only did she teach me how to use things, but she also taught me the WHY! The WHY of why certain things were programmed to do XYZ. This was such empowering information as it helped me decide what features to turn off or on and when. We even took it on a test drive so I could show her certain things and she explained to me the WHY and how to handle the wheel when it gave me feedback or how the wheels/lights would react in certain scenarios. I felt so incredibly relieved AND empowered after she spent an hour and a half working with me. Thanks to Jennyfer, I decided to drive it back to IL and see if the trip home went better now that I was educated on how to drive the vehicle. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER! Again, only 2 tanks of gas to get home - what the what?!! Since arriving home, I have driven in some awful road conditions. Not only did the car handle everything beautifully, but I also knew what to use and when for each of those scenarios. Again, very empowering to have the education on all the little things to possibly utilize in that car. Heck, I even utilized Manual in an uphill densely packed iced road scenario. I knew how to do that thanks to Jennyfer! Also, thanks to her help, I am not only keeping the car, but recommending my friends and family who are Subaru people to go to her in Buda. I even told Jennyfer that when the time came for me to trade it in, that I would do it during a holiday just so I could get it from her in Buda!

If there is a manager reading this you should look at your cameras on Jan 30 Blue Chevy Silverado and train your salesmen not to stereotype customers. You lost the sales of two units, a customer, and received this review. Show them respect and ask them to ask if they are being helped instead of demanding in a rude manner to move my vehicle.

The next Monday we decided and ran through financing with another courteous employee whose name I did not remember. The tech, Bobby, then went over every aspect of how everything worked and spent a good three hours with us answering questions and giving his expertise as an RVer himself. He never seemed in a hurry and instilled a sense of an employee that truly likes his job. As if that wasn't enough, you get to spend your first night in your new RV in their RV park adjacent to the sales area to make sure everything works and see if any other questions come up. I mean who does that?? After your purchase you get 10% off parts, accessories, and labor charges for any service. We had an issue with one of our roof vents that appeared to leak during a rain storm. They Clint Caraway, told me to bring it in as it was under warranty. I actually pulled it in on my lunch break and they fixed it and installed roof vent covers for me in less than an hour while I waited! I actually expected to drop it off and pick it up at a later date but their service really surprised me. We are very happy with our experience at Crestview RV and will be a repeat customer in the future.
