Me and my boyfriend are new to the area and thought to try this place as we were feeling too lazy to cook dinner. I called and food was ready within 15 minutes of calling, lady was a little rude on the phone. At one point while ordering she rudely cut me off and put me on hold. When I arrived she confirmed my order with me, yet gave me 2 orders Orange chicken when I asked for 1 order orange chicken and 1 order general tso chicken. It's my first time trying the New China King. I always get the General Tao's when I want Chinese. I'm basic that way. The food was reasonably priced at under $12 with tax, and I had my meal in under 10 minutes. The food was so fresh and hot that I had to let it cool off for a few minutes! I was given some duck sauce, so I applied it and made a small mess on my hands. The one recommendation I have is to include a napkin next time. The food was good. I would come again. I thought the chicken was very good, and the sauce was robust, but not the best I've had. I will keep coming back because it is so close to my home and my usual place is closed on Sundays. read more

Just moved to the area, and picked the closest Chinese place- lucky me, this was great. Szezwan tofu was crispy and on point. Veggie fried rice too! Ordered my two favorite things Shrimp Lo Mein and Crab Rangoon . The crab were big but tasted greasy and the lo mein needed more flavor

I have eaten here a couple of times having meals delivered to my office. Many of my coworkers order here frequently, though one experience I had was a horrible meal. Notwithstanding one meal was good, the second and last time I ordered there I ordered lo mein which was a good size but my god the noodles tasted like it was cooked in a pan after week old trout. The fishy taste was horrific and overwhelming and the really bad part is that I didn't order seafood lo mein and I hate fish. Needless to say it was a one star meal. I will give China King credit though, I have tasted other meals friends bought and they were delicious, and the only negative meal I heard of from there so far was the one I had. My coworkers still order weekly from there, I guess if I get daring again I will too. The delivery driver comes fairly quick and is pleasant, ordering by phone is problematic at times because the order taker usually doesn't speak English well and if in a hurry due to being slammed, you have no idea what she is saying or if she just confirmed a large order of chicken lips and a**holes by mistake. My family have been loyal customers here for years. Today we ordered some food and when my father got home we noticed something was missing. My father asked me to call them as he got back in his car to get the missing item. When I called they told me the item was in the bag and to check again. I explained that everything was out of the bag and the item was missing. They asked me to inventory what I had to them, I did. They then told me that the person who bagged the items said they put it in and handed the phone to them. I had to explain the situation to them and they had me tell them again what I had in front of me. They told me to bag everything back up and bring it to them so they could look. What? I explained my father was already on the way and that was impossible. They had the nerve to say "I know what you are doing" at that point I became offended because we do not need to steal one item of food, worth 9 bucks or so. I let them know they lost a loyal customer, ended my call, and called my father so he could return home. I don't know if they get people who try and steal from them by saying things are missing but telling a customer repeatedly that they are wrong because you bagged the items yourself is crazy. First of all, they have the best krab rangoon and you get 10 of them for $4.50. They have a decent amount of krab, the right amount of sweetness and crispiness, and they're the pouch kind, which I prefer over the triangles. A friend and I went there tonight and ordered take out. I ordered the shrimp and cashew special for $7.25 (spicy, no mushrooms), subbed white rice for the pork fried rice and subbed a veggie spring roll in place of the pork egg roll with no problem. My friend got the shrimp lo mein special with pork fried rice and pork egg roll, also for $7.25. We took the food to my friend's house, nibbled on the rangoon and spring/egg rolls, then got to our main dishes about 30 minutes later. Well....my shrimp and cashews turned out to be chicken and cashews :( I called and the woman remembered me: "Oh yes, chicken and cashews, spicy, no mushrooms, white rice and vegetable spring roll." ok, points for her because that was pretty impressive. I told her that I had ordered shrimp and she apologized, admitted that she thought I had said chicken and said she'd make the shrimp for me right away. I drove back up there, it was ready and waiting for me and she apologized again. I told her it was no big deal and that they have the best krab rangoon, which she was pleased to hear. I started to give her the chicken back but she told me to keep it (I know that's standard practice but I always attempt to return the incorrect order so as to not seem like I'm trying to pull one over on them or something). So, bonus for my friend and his roommate who got a free order of chicken and cashews out of it. Went back to the house, I gave my friend's roommate the chicken and I started in on my shrimp, which was delicious. The shrimp were large and tender, the vegetables were plenty and the sauce was delicious and robust. The only complaint I had was that it wasn't spicy enough. My friend who ate the chicken said it was very spicy, though, so had I originally gotten the correct order, the heat level probably would have been perfect for me. (Side note: I think that when we Average Joes and Janes order something spicy in an ethnic restaurant, they seem to think we can't handle it because about 80% of the time, I could handle quite a bit more heat.) The prices are really affordable and the people seem to be fairly nice, they don't know much English but enough to get by. Lunch specials are 5.95 with a choice of sofa, egg drop or wonton soup. I normally get chicken with mixed veggies with pork fried rice or lo mein. The portions are large. I can never finish the lunch special. They are accommodating if you want to alter spice level or want to upgrade to lo mein (which I have & it's delicious) the first number on the menu is no longer in service so if you're looking to order call the second one. Food is always piping hot and fresh. They don't use MSG which is a plus because it upsets my stomach. Decor is decent I have always purchased to-go. Average wait is about 10 mins if you walk in. Enough space to eat in if that's your choosing. I've tried the chicken wings not too greasy and the generals tso chicken (one of the best I've had) so give it a try if you're hungry. Checked local chinese places for delivery and this was closest to me. It states online that they deliver, but when I called for delivery, the man who answered said they do not. I have never experienced this with a chinese restaurant. I decided to call back and place an order to be picked up. When I asked for spare ribs, they didnt have. I ordered something else and asked the price difference....the response "i dont know". I sat in silence for a moment waiting for them to check but they didnt. So I just ordered anyway. When I was done, they said it will be ready in 10 minutes. Without a total or anything. I asked for a total and if the combos I ordered came with any egg rolls or soups like I always receive at other places..."no"....and silence. Chicken wing combo only comes with 4 wings and my shrimp and broccoli DOES come with an egg roll or soup according to their menu that I just checked online. Overall I am not happy with this service.
