The pizza is usually good here even though recently, they have been reducing the amount of toppings on the pizza. My main problem is with the delivery guy. My work, a few days ago, ordered a party size pizza for the staff. Our work place consist of multiple buildings. We gave the delivery person directions on how to get to where our building is prior to him coming. But he refused to deliver to the building where we were and wanted us to go pick up the pizza across campus. We explained to him that where he wants us to pick up the pizza was far from where we are located at. He still went to the building where he wanted to go. Then got mad at us when we ask him again to deliver where our building is. He was telling us off the whole time while handing us the pizza and then had the audacity to tell us that he only takes tips that is $10 or more, no less. I have NEVER met someone who is so entitled and rude. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have tipped him at all. But we already pooled tip money so we just gave it to him. Our work have ordered pizza from this place so many times but after the incident, we will be looking elsewhere to order pizza. Definitely think twice if you're ordering delivery from here. Hits. The. Spot. Checked out their menu online and ordered over the phone. Lrg City Special $29.99 Lrg Garlic Italiana $29.99 Garlic bread, no cheese $8.99 Total came out to $70 and some change. But my god, was it so good. It was pouring rain and I was busy all week, all day. I was tired and cold and when I got home to eat that pizza and crispy garlic bread, it was all I needed. So the pizzas were fully cooked and cheese pull cheesy. I tend to like the bottom of my pizzas crispier, but that's a personal preference. My friend who doesn't like that preferred these pizzas. The place looked like a classic pizza joint, even had the old school gumball machines with toys and stickers in them. There were at least 4 tables for dine in eating...I think, haha. Most people residing in San Jose, CA have only experienced pizza from the local area or the west coast. I've resided throughout the U.S. and abroad. In comparison to east coast and some other areas of the country this pizza definitely has inferior dough, sauce, and toppings which an elderly well known pizza maker informed me years ago make a delicious product. Naturally I'm certainly spoiled. I'm glad that some and possibly many other local residents enjoy this pizza in the downtown San Jose area. That's what counts! read more

City Pizza is easily one of my favorite local pizza places. The employees are always friendly, and service is quick. We get coupons in the mail for them and they're always good deals, but it's hard to pass up their carry out specials for 1-topping pizzas. Everytime we've gone, it's never really been too busy inside. It's a small little joint, similar to most Domino's locations where most orders are to go. The pizza itself is very tasty. I hosted my first larger Iftar today and we served the party pizza (half cheese, half chicken all white sauce) as an "appetizer" and it was a hit as per usual. It was WAY to hot to cook last night so I ordered a pizza to go from this local spot. I've been to City Pizza a few times over the years so I'm surprised I haven't written a review before now. Ordering online was super easy and the pies are really reasonably priced. I was having a hard time choosing which one so just went with the basic Hawaiian. Boring I know. 30 minutes after ordering, I popped in to pick up my pizza and ALL THE DIPPY SAUCES. If you know me, you know I love a good dippy sauce. Typically I just get the extra container of pizza sauce but this time I also got the garlic white sauce and OMG I'll never over look this cup of goodness again! What I like most about these place is the pizzas aren't greasy and the crust has sesame seeds which is a nice touch. I drizzle a little hot honey on it and .. yum! My pie was simple (because I'm boring) but tasty. I ordered the medium and it'll last me at least a dinner and two lunches. Service was great. Super friendly guys behind the counter which as we know, service can make or break a business no matter how great the food is. They do have a dining area but it's small and not overly inviting. It's pretty obvious they focus on to-go orders and do that very well, The pizza here is good but not epic. Drove an hour and half from where I was staying and it was definitely worth the drive. Staff is pretty friendly and our order came out in 10-15 min. Be aware everything is frozen. Like literally you can see the frozen bags of food in the fridge. I remember it was "National Pizza Day", and I was looking for a pizza place nearby my workplace that I can get one to celebrate. I saw that City Pizza had a great reviews so I decided to give them a try. It's unique how they put sesame seeds on their crust. That's definitely a first! Haha.. So far I've ordered twice through the Yelp app, and the pizza is delicious. I ordered the City Special pizza in mini size, and it was perfect for lunch. I think I even had 2 slices left over. The first time I got an order of potato wedges too, and it was alot like enough to feed 2-3 people so I couldn't finish it by myself. The 2nd time I got the alfredo pasta which was delicious. They use 3 colored rotini type of pasta and it's baked with cheese on type. Omg so yum! The guy who works there is friendly and nice. After 26 years of coming here. They are the best and have the healthiest pizza around. What's amazing is that the same people still own it and make the pizzas as well. I've lived in Campbell, CA my entire life and I think I can say I know the town ( all of it's businesses ) well. My favorite food is pizza and I'm not one of those people who keeps on ordering from the same place cos I actually like to try new things but as far as pizzerias go within the Campbell city limits there around 15, which is quite a lot. A few of those are chain pizzas but the rest are Mom and Pop shops and for my money the best one of these that makes the best pie, has friendly and reliable customer service and just has it's act together is City Pizza. I have ordered from City Pizza over the years and for the life of me I don't know why I don't order from here more often cos the pizza is delicious and IMO it's totally underrated. Yesterday I ordered a Medium Pepp/ Mushroom pizza from City Pizza and although I thought that the kid who took my order would mess it up ( cos he was a new employee ) surprise surprise he didn't and it came within 30 mins like he said it would. What sets city pizza apart for me me is the quality ingredients, ample amounts of cheese and toppings, and especially the tomato sauce. The sesame seed crust is a welccome addition to the pizza and adds another entire dimension of flavor to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Did I forget to mention that the pizza here is inexpensive and that the deals and specials are great too? it's just another reason that City Pizza is top notch! I don't usually write negative reviews, but I'm kinda mad. I ordered a City Special on 12/1/18 with no onions. It clearly says "NO ONIONS" on the receipt. Pizza arrived with onions and no olives. Problem: I love olives on pizza and HATE onions on pizza! It was a delivery and there was no time to send it back, because we had plans to attend a play later in the evening.
