Also I discovered their salads with lots of veggies, and Alfredo chicken pasta which are remarkably delicious and better than what I can get at these other Italian restaurants nearby. I don't usually write negative reviews, but I'm kinda mad. I ordered a City Special on 12/1/18 with no onions. It clearly says "NO ONIONS" on the receipt. Pizza arrived with onions and no olives. Problem: I love olives on pizza and HATE onions on pizza! It was a delivery and there was no time to send it back, because we had plans to attend a play later in the evening. Eh, scratching my head on all the stellar reviews. My pizza was horrible. I ordered, based on my yelpers' feedback, the pizza sandwich. It was cheap, I'll give it that. However, the cheese (or lack thereof) was dry and crusted. Not much sauce and the other toppings weren't cooked all the way through, also, the pizza was lukewarm and I picked it up promptly (lady said it would be ready at 7:30 p.m). Huge bummer what a waste of calories for cheat day ;-) I've been meaning to try City Pizza for years since I drive by there daily. Guess next time I'll keep driving. read more

The gyros & onion rings there aren't good. The Greek salad needs more ted onions & those hot green peppers in it. The onion rings were soggy & tasteless. The gyrro had hardly any meat in it. It was dry too as it had hardly any tzaziki sauce in it. It hardly has any ted onions in it either. It had lots of lettuce & tomatoes in it though. Just moved to Campbell and tried City Pizza as our first pizza place. - Customer service was lacking, but they did appear busy with phone orders so I'll give them some leeway. - Margherita Pizza - lacking, I wouldn't recommend - Pesto cheese bread - basic but my wife enjoyed it - Combo pizza - The only pizza the group all enjoyed. Ordered the combination with bell peppers only on half but couldn't even taste the onions. The flavor overall was cool but what got me was the Yelp check in wasn't honored. The yelp check in was to get a free medium pizza which seemed of course too good to be true and when I inquired we were told it was a buy one get one and you had to order an extra-large and then you can get a medium one topping. I think city pizza has great pizza. They put sesame on the crust and it tastes delicious. My only problem with City Pizza is that their pricing structure is super confusing. They have coupons that seem to suggest one price but if you have any changes at all they bump up the price and it becomes suddenly $10 or $15 more expensive for almost exactly the same thing. I just wish they had an easy to understand way to order pizza so that it wasn't so confusing. read more

Love this place. Unique flavor, with sesame seeds on the crust. Our family go-to is the BBQ supreme pizza, sub white sauce. We are always getting the coupons mailed to us, which definitely keeps us coming back. You never know how well pizza will hold up as leftovers, but this pizza retains the flavors so well. I pop a slice in my air fryer and it's just as good as fresh :-) Support your local business, you won't regret it with this one. It's cooked perfect, thicker crust than most places, generous amount of toppings, , tasted super fresh, and I loved the sesame around the crust - perfect for dipping! Did someone say sesame pizza crust? That's what these guys do and it's a total game changer! I'm not a crust fan when it comes to pizza, but adding sesame gives pizza crust a whole new depth! I like getting their chicken special because there's a whole bunch of toppings that work together. They sprinkle on perfectly cooked chicken, some onions, raw tomatoes, herbs, and it's all resting on top of a thick layer of cheesy goodness! I feel like they haven't been putting on as much toppings as they have during the past because of covid, but it's still a good amount. It used to be that the toppings were so heavy that they'd slide off the slice but there would still be 2 layers of toppings underneath. Found this gem by accident while I was buying furniture at the consignment store across the street. My mom mentioned to me "there is a pizza spot across the street let's try it". I was of course skeptical because so many pizza places are all crust and the dough is just not right. Every time I give a place I try I SWEAR ILL NEVER EAT PIZZA AGAIN!!! The Ingredients are fresh, the dough cooked to perfection and not to mention the sesame seeds on the crust, DELICIOUS! I ordered a XL pizza with half pesto sauce and half tomato sauce, added pepperoni, sausage with extra cheese. When I took my first bite it took me back to my childhood. The cheesy deliciousness you remember but can never replicate. I'm glad to say I FOUND IT! Definitely a fan. Quality, fresh ingredients, and great crust! It's not oily, it's got great chew and it's not too thin or too thick. They even sprinkle sesame seeds on it which is a nice addition! The reason why I am deducting a single star is for the inconsistency on sesame seeds sometimes included and sometimes not on the crust. And, also not delivering from Campbell to Sunnyvale. I used to go to Via Mia pizza in Santa Clara and it's unfortunate it burned down. Very glad I found you guys still in business as I can only find Halal Beef Pepperoni with you guys! So I can still satisfy my craving and not have to omit the topping like at every other pizza spot I order from. Whenever I am home in Sunnyvale, I order from City Pizza (using Door Dash) because it's worth paying extra than a $7.99 Dominos 1-topping medium. Domino's gets salty. City Pizza is bomb even as reheated leftovers! I haven't tried the lunch special yet but other Yelpers seem to say it's a solid deal. Customer service is friendly and attentive. I usually interact with two young ladies at the register but even on the phone they are kind. I had a poor experience with a local Round Table on the phone and finally gave City Pizza a try about a year ago and haven't looked back to any other local pizza spot for delivery since! Ok so I rated City Pizza a 3 star on my last review. That was before I bought 2 Gyros from here....a pizza spot of all places. I ask the guy working the front "how are the Gyros?". He said their "pretty good" and of course he would, he works there is he going to tell me the "meh"! He wasn't lying they were pretty decent. I could've eaten 5 of them, no seriously. They tasted exactly how a Gyro is supposed to taste. I'm glad I tried them because if I get an itch for a real quick Gyros I'm strolling to City Pizza. Before I forget I got the potato wedges also and those were really good also! I noticed there are no pictures on Yelp of the Gyros and I wanted to be the first but I devoured them too fast. City Pizza, a family owned restaurant that specializes in a great pizza! As always, prior to writing this, I read the others, most of which are 4-5 stars. The overall rating is 4 stars with 140 reviews. So I have been coming here for over a year and I have consistently had outstanding service, The pizza is different than other restaurants, as it is a traditional east coast style. The one thing I really like is they will make a pizza anyway you want it. For example: If you want a lot of cheese, toppings and sauce, thin crust, well done or extra crispy, just ask. Of course, tn some cases, they may have a small charge for this. Every pizza is made fresh using the finest ingredients. If you like a thick bread pizza that has lots of sauce, gooey cheese and greasy toppings on it, this is not the place for you (lets face it, many people like those types of pizza, which may explain the very few 1 star reviews related to the taste). The pizza is really great and made with an even balance of sauce, toppings and their signature item...sesame seeds around the edge of the crust. They put special care and quality into their ingredients (Halal). They always have a large, one topping pizza for under $11 and coupons available for other discounts. They even have a rewards program where you can get a free garlic bread or medium one topping pizza after so many purchases. Of course, I have tried other items such as their chicken wings (the best I have tasted), gyros, calzone, breadsticks and garlic bread. Recently, they have added pasta dishes. The salads are always fresh made and excellent! Even their soda (Fanta Orange-My Favorite) has a great taste with a proper mixture of syrup and soda-never watery. Many of the other 1-3 star reviews indicate slow service or a bad delivery experience. The owners take the business very seriously as I have never experienced any issue in this area. Yes, when they are very busy, I sometimes have to wait awhile as it is a small business with a few tables. The majority of sales appears to be coming from take out and delivery. I really enjoy eating there though, as the owners and employees always make me feel welcomed and the restaurant and kitchen areas are very clean and well maintained. Families and their children always seem to have a good time there. So if your in the area drop by and give it a try. I highly recommend City Pizza! read more

(It was a large supreme* and a large 1-topping for $27.99, but they told me over the phone that they had raised the coupon price to $29.99.) It's a coupon that I had just downloaded from the official website! Tone-deaf customer service to refuse to honor the offer over $2. *: They use the word "supreme" to mean "special"... in pretty much any other pizza chain, "supreme" means "combo". The pizza was just okay. For the supreme, I did half City Combo and half Hawaiian. For the 1-topping, I did pepperoni. Both pizzas needed way more sauce. I didn't mind the sesame seeds on the crust, but I don't think they added anything taste-wise. Why in the world are there so many 5-star reviews here? Insanity. I stop by here every so often for their mini pizza lunch special but this is really more of a delivery/take out place. The seating area isn't much but they've spruced it up recently and added a TV. The pizza is OK, the tomato sauce lacks freshness. The sesame seeds on the crust is a nice twist. That said, one of those neighborhood, family run restaurants and with friendly service behind the counter whenever I'm there. What can one really say about pizzerias? Well, City Pizza is like no other pizzerias, because it offers unique options and wide variety on their menu. The owners are so sweet; personally I love supporting local businesses. On to the real real- FOOD. I ordered the Chicken Gourmet Pizza and it is absolutely delicious. The fresh garlic and the creamy white sauce- PERFECT. Chicken slices and mushrooms paired with the garlic and white sauce.. it's match made in heaven. I also particularly loved their crust. It's different, it is not heavy like most pizzas, and it has sesame which to me offers extra .. flavor. Most pizzerias bank that you get full off the crust, but with City Pizza, their crust is light, fluffy and flavorful, it just... well, perfect. My coworkers ordered their All Meat Pizza, I took a sample of it and to my surprise, it is not salty like everyone else's all meat pizzas. Which is a plus, I usually opt for other choices besides all meat for the fear of overly saltiness... but not City Pizza's All Meat... it's good. It's great. And it's not overly salty. Maybe it's the fresh ingredients they use for their quality pizzas. All in all, you guys gotta give it a try. Some background: Normally, our company would have pizza delivered at 4PM, but some changes were made and instead, pizza started being delivered at 4:30PM. Almost all employees were unaware of the change as it happened last-minute. ANYWAY, when our delivery guy from City Pizza came, he ran into one of our unknowingly innocent employees, who mentioned that he was "late". I guess upon hearing this, the delivery guy went on a tirade and started berating another person signing for the pizzas. Really? Relax, dude. If it was late or not, the employee only made a comment.
