Ever since Plant Based disappeared I've been on a serious hunt for vegan pizza! This evening I searched Yelp for Vegan pizza and was worried I wouldn't find a place that had something I would enjoy... until I came across Magoos! 4 stars = The Jain pizza was super tasty and the boyfriend really enjoyed the BBQ chicken. It was also fairly priced! We ordered two small pizzas to our liking for ONLY $20 !!!! -1 = We ordered 30 minutes prior to pick up, the suggest time.... and it still wasn't ready when we came in to pick it up. We only had to wait another 10mins, but still. I can get over that last star because the pizza was just THAT damn good! We will definitely be back read more

This pizza place feels incredibly homey and welcoming, like it's run with genuine care and love. The service was fast and efficient, and the staff was exceptionally friendly--they checked in on us several times to make sure everything was perfect. The pizza was delicious, clearly made fresh, with great flavor and quality ingredients that really stood out. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the customer experience. I must admit I'm a bit of a pizza snob, but a lot of high-end pizza places just don't do delivery. So what's my Pizza Jones to do when I don't feel like going out, and it's craving some pie? Well, fortunately, there's dozens of local neighborhood pizza places around that are more than willing to drop off some pizza right to your door for a nominal fee, of course. Since moving to my new digs last summer I haven't really looked for my "go-to" delivery pizza place. The criteria is pretty easy: (1) Delivers to may address (2) can order thru the Yelp app and (3) reasonable prices. Magoo's seemed to fit all those and so I proceeded. I recall a local chain called Magoo's growing up, and seem to remember there being one by my parent's house on Vistapark & Capitol Expwy at one point. This seems to be the last of those but don't recall if this is an OG location. From what I've gathered this store has changed hands many times, and the latest owners have included Indian pizza on the menu--a fact I didn't realize until after I had placed my order. Pizza's all arrived in just over an hour and came w/ a $3 delivery fee and a $10 minimum, which isn't hard to hit with pizza. They were both hot, fresh and fully loaded with goodies. They had even read my note about keeping half the veggie pizza sans cheese. Imagine that! Overall it was a solid "American-style" pie but it was nothing super-impressive. With that said, I would definitely order from them again but next time I'm getting the Indian-style. read more

It's been 3 years since I've been eating pizza from here and I don't like any other pizzas now. They have amazing tase and their service is great too, they make everything fresh. Even though it takes a while but it's worth it. Highly recommend them!!! My favourite is their pesto garden and chilli paneer pizza. read more

I had a pesto veggie pizza which was pretty much what I expected.I am not a bread fan so the thickness of crust is not really what i like but do understand .....that is typical pizza! I didn't try any of the others but the meat pizzas looked ok and there are pizza combos on the menu here that I have not seen or ever tried,one was curry. It's small and not well lit in here which is ok but not all that made for family cozy warmth I'd say.It's another place in Campbell with lots of competition but pizza is apparently cheap to make so it survives.I suspect all the mailers they send out are helpful for it as it's close to tasty chinese a Cambodian restaurant,Kirk's Burgers,Grillem and a lot of other food establishments all very close to each other. not a big recommend here. read more

I just received my pizza from Magoos after waiting exactly 1 hour and 38 minutes. Yes, an hour and 38 minutes! I called to complain and they didn't have any kind of good excuse unless you consider "It's Friday night" to be a good excuse. I opened the now 1 hour old pizza and it looked okay, so I paid for it. But when I got it onto the counter and pulled a piece out, it was soggy and the bottom was almost raw. I'm cooking it now - pushing two hours from order to eating. The taste was not as good as some frozen pizzas I've had. Save yourself the frustration, extra cash and terrible dining experience and call someone else for pizza delivery. My wife ordered pizza as we normally do. Simple order told it will be ready 30. We live in walking distance and get there and told pizza will be ready in 15 to 20 more minutes. So I paid for our pizza and waited. 2 minutes later employees were arguing. Arguments escalated in the back. Obviously they are anti white, the cook came out twice and still yelling. I was destined to try this place. Pizza was delicious (the white sauce garlic chicken and pesto veggie were just amazing). Why destined? Well, truth is... I'm a sucker for good deals and family owned restaurants, especially if the family is from a distant country and the dad is at the cashier register taking care of customers. For all parents out there: this pizza was really good, and you get to choose from a myriad of other "adult" pizzas. The Dad at the cashier register noticed my hesitation as I walked in: should I try this new place for a party? what if the pizza is not that good? better go with a better known evil chain like... say... pizza hut? or domino's? so he proceeded to tell me their pizzas are good... very very good (insert Indian accent and head motion here). I believe him, as I see his kids comfortably hanging out watching the little TV hanging from the ceiling. My wife, not so much... but again... I'm a sucker for a good deal... With coupon in hand, the owner promises to give me several pizzas at half price. ok ok ok , now I can't walk away. We came back the next day to pick up our pizzas... they were ready just as they promised. On time, and delicious. We paid less than $40 for 4 large + well tossed pizzas. I go there to try Indian flavor pizza's, there are lots of other pizza shops around which serves decent regular flavor pizza's. Flavors Tried(Vegetarian): Shahi Paneer(Cottage cheese with indian curry sauce) Paneer Chill(Cottage Cheese and Capsicums) 1-2 times they have overdone my pizza and burned the side breads that's why 3 stars. Otherwise they make good pizzas and charge reasonable prices, also gave discount coupons for next time. This place is kind of hidden and the surroundings are really dark if you go in night. So you can easily miss this place. Suggestion to the owners - Please move your restaurant to some nice place it can really do a good business. read more

I'm not sure if this place is named after the senile 60's cartoon character of it there really once was an owner named Magoo. Either way, I'm intrigued. Actually the only reason I came here was because my mom's new office is in the same strip mall and when I went to visit her on my way back to Berkeley I was really hungry. I was pretty trepidacious about eating here. Its pretty dirty inside and there are just a few booths and a pizza counter. They only have a few kinds of pizza and sides which are advertised on signs behind the counter. But where Magoo's is lacking in aesthetics, Magoo's makes up in taste. My mom and I split a personal pepperoni pizza. It was delicious! It was really hot and zesty, just like I like it. The crust was fresh. The personal pizza was only $5 which is pretty cheap for a meal that will definitely fill you up. I do wish they sold slices though, cause a personal pizza is usually too much for one person, I think. I don't know much about their delivery service, but the pizza quality was really great. I guess I'll have to stop by and say "hi" to mommy more often. read more

I ordered the meat lovers pizza it was ok not the best. I also ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta which the noodles were really over cooked and to be honest didn't taste like Alfredo at all. I wanted to try the desserts so I got the burnt almond cupcake which was not even a cupcake I was expecting. I didn't care for it too much at all. The cheesecake looked like it was from Safeway. Overall this was my first and last time I order from this place. I feel like I wasted my money. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt despite the negative reviews because the recent reviews were great. But it was a risk I took and it failed. read more

This is the best place my family and I have been too. Their sauce is amazing and the flavors are so rich. I always recommend my friends to go to Magoos because it's so good. We ordered half veggie half combo and only got 2 pieces of veggie. My dad called and told them. I live near Magoo's and always get their coupons on the outside of my door. After months of exposure, I finally went for lunch. I got the spaghetti & meatballs (for $6.50), which was fine, not bad but not crazy good either. My friends thought the same of what they ordered, a hero sub and meatball sub. Magoo's itself was really random inside. Against one wall are 3 booths and on the opposite wall is a high counter, behind which the cooking goes on. The food took awhile and the shadiness was just weird, so don't think I'll be going back. read more

If only I could give a place a negative rating... This place has TERRIBLE service for online orders!!! They use a third party vendor for the ordering process, and when we ordered the restaurant claims to never have received the actual order. A pizza that was to have been delivered in 30-45 minutes never showed. I called the restaurant's vendor, Slice, to complain--as recommended by the restaurant because it "wasn't their fault"--and Slice says they can see the restaurant confirmed the order 7 mins after we placed the online order. Who's wrong? Who's lying? I've got PROOF it's Magoo's fault!!! (Respond and I can share a screenshot). Get your shiz together Magoo's!!! For the sake of future customers, I hope you do. The crust is a machine made crap that didn't even taste like dough and it had grease all over it! Imitation cheese was just all over too and tasted horrible! We ordered a pizza from here, through doordash and specifically requested pepperoni and tomatoes on our pizza. When it came, there was barely any pepperoni and yellow slivers that were sweet and looked/tasted like pineapple (my boyfriend tasted it, as I am allergic). Anyways, we called and I explained that I'm not upset but it looks as though there are pineapples on the pizza and I just wanted to let them know. The man working the phones immediately started yelling at me about how there is no pineapple in the store and how I ordered through doordash and I should have expected this. I started to get upset, because he literally was yelling at me and I was trying to explain the problem, so I started to snap back at him. He immediately goes "ma'am it's the holidays, be nice!" (it's the day after Christmas) and I said "I was nice, you're the one who started yelling at me!" He continued to tell me I'm rude for just giving him a heads up that our order seemed wrong and saying there was no pineapples in the store. EVEN IF there is no pineapples, you should not yell at your customers, ESPECIALLY when they are trying to be pleasant with you. There are better ways to go about that. We threw out the pizza, because even though the man insists it cannot be pineapple, it looks and tastes sweet like pineapple and he never provided us an answer as to what it could be, and I cannot risk that due to my allergy. We will never, EVER order from here again and we will be sure to let everyone know of the very rude customer service we received. read more

cruisin down bascom starving, tryna figure out what to eat, i drive by magoo's and see that they're offering pizza by the slice for 1.69. i said ooooo-tay and pulled on in. upon walking in, i must admit my expectations were low. the place was empty and i was expecting cold pizza to be reheated. surprise surprise, the slices are actually little personal pizzas made fresh. i ordered the pepperoni, and after about a 5 - 10 minute wait, it was ready. the pizza was actually pretty good. the cheese was cheesy, the sauce was saucy, the bread was bready. a good taste, and the service was very friendly. This place cracks me up - Classic Bay Area diversity in action - The name is Magoo's for an Italian pizza/food place and it has been owned by Vietnamese and now I think people from India. i like it that they have us in the computer and can quickly enter an order. We learned early in SV that a good tip gets us quick service. We rarely wait more than 30 minutes, often get it in 20. RE: the pizzas, they're good size with good crusts and I like the sauce they use - unlike some of the other pizza chains, they seem to still be using tomato sauce. During the past 6 months or so we've had to ask for double toppings as like all the others, they've "gone light". Just tried Pizza My Dear last weekend - agh! We're back to Magoos. read more

Really good pizza and a friendly family staff. Try the garlic chicken pizza and you will be a believer. Definitely not a sit-down place if you want 'ambiance', so take out is preferred, and usually ready really quick. Delivery said 45min to an hour but took an hour & 20 min. Didn't notice until after the delivery person left that my pizza had pepperoni not pineapple on it...I don't eat meat. It was not the most flavorful pizza I had, nor was it satisfying. The flavors of the toppings were masked by the heavily oiled crusted. I had to use a paper towel to line the side of my plate to act as a levy for the oil; ok, that was a little exaggerated, but I did have to have a napkin at hand because of the oil.
