Great meatballs! This was a hard place to rate because on one hand - really great meatballs and an awesome stromboli. Pizza crust also nice and flavorful. Surprising lack of toppings on the cheese + two toppings pizza but the pesto chicken pizza was loaded. The pasta was only okay, but some in our group loved it. Overall, the meatballs would push me over the edge and I would come here again. FOOD: Overall, I loved the menu. Good selection and I love that they have so many options. Again the meatball is terrific, but surprisingly they don't offer it as a topping on the pizza. Stromboli was the best I've had. They really filled it up unlike other Italian places. And the pizza was very tasty despite the lack of toppings. SERVICE: Wasn't well packaged. The pasta was so hot the plastic melted (made me a little worried). I lived in Campbell for a short time 30 years ago, and Luigi's was my go to place for pizza. Their pizza was scrumptious and they kindly made me personal size pizzas that weren't on the menu. For some reason I haven't been there in ... 30 years. Had the Super Baked Rigatoni delivered tonight. It arrived piping hot and was so delicious. I really liked the Italian sausage on top and the penne inside. It was very filling, so I saved half for tomorrow. They included bread with my order, which was a nice surprise. The bread was soft and chewy, but it didn't have any butter or garlic on it. Just plain bread. If it was supposed to be garlic bread, I couldn't taste it. I'd like to go back to the restaurant someday and see if it still looks like it did 30 years ago and try more of their pasta. read more

Luigi's was a great option for pizza. The pesto chicken was really good. It was a bit greasy but that was expected because it was pesto and the melted cheese. I also tried the chicken Alfredo, which was pretty standard. I felt like it could use some more salt but everything is to taste, so I just added what was right for me. The restaurant is self serve so you order and you get your own drinks and napkins, etc. They bring the food to the table however which is nice. They are pretty quick about getting the orders out. Came here for the second time before a movie. The pizza is pretty good. We got a veggie pizza and added jalapeno's. The toppings are ample and the crust is nice. If we were to order again, we would request extra crispy as the center was watery. We got the chicken pesto and it was average. Not a strong pesto flavor but the portion is good size. I wouldn't order chicken again. It was small cubed pieces that seemed as if they might have been frozen at some point. The garlic bread is probably their strongest contender. Soft and tasty. My biggest problem and why I would only get takeout is they were cleaning the kitchen while we were eating and the cleaner was so strong, I had to get out asap. It was making me physically ill and on the edge of vomiting. :( Even if I didn't have sensitivity to odors, I don't think anyone likes to smell chemicals while they are eating. It doesn't allow you to taste the food at all. I guess the positive is the place is probably clean but I can't risk getting a migraine or getting ill from it. It is very loud in the place even with only a few people and the kitchen staff going back and forth with a cart of dishes clanking as he goes over the carpet (3 times in the 40 minutes we were there) was less than pleasant. The place is very old school and very 'rough around the edges'. You grab your own forks, plastic plates, and super thin napkins. It's a good place for families I'm sure because of the portion sizes and prices, just know what you're getting into when going. They seem very nice so I'm torn with a not so great review, but I think honesty is the only way restaurants can know opinions and try retain customers. read more

The portions were surprisingly big for our party of two so I would definitely recommend sharing if your party is around our size. Amazing Alfredo sauce based Pasta. A Fettucine/Linguine with Alfredo sauce is my favorite pasta combination ever and this was amongst the best I've had! The Alfredo sauce was SO good. Thick and fresh. I had the Chicken version of the dish and there was a decent amount of protein there but not a lot. My roommate got the Vegetarian version and she wanted some veggies rather than keeping it plain pasta + sauce, so they customized it and added some veggies for her. Chili flakes and Parmesan on the table, do add some to your pasta! Food also came with a good amount of garlic breadsticks on the side. No sauce with it though. 4.5 stars.
