I had Bangers & Mash - sausage (3 pieces) with imported horseradish mustard, mashed potatoes, gravy, delicious baked beans. It went perfectly with my pint! It was a warm afternoon so the glass garage doors were opened wide and folks were eating and drinking outside in the beer garden too. The vibe was loud, lively and very positive. Music was old school British Invasion '60s style. Good times seemed to be had by everyone. We finished with a locally produced Chocolate Rum Cake - it was rum forward and smooth, dark chocolatey! Beware though, as the NA cocktails were still around $11, which I always find frustrating as they are basically flavored sugar water. We tried the blackhawk beef burger and koji-aged ribeye. The blackhawk burger was a smash burger (thin patties, melted cheese), that tasted delicious. The ribeye was just as expected and cooked as ordered. The star of each of the entrees, however, was the thin cut, crispy fries. Good thing the fries were delicious because the sauces that came with it were quite bland -- would've preferred ketchup. For dessert we tried the bay leaf cheesecake. It was alright, had a subtle smokey flavor that I think threw us off a bit (although that was obviously the point given the bay leaf). Our server Renee was friendly and everything was prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the food was pretty good. Although, given the limited number of options on the menu, you'll definitely want to look at it ahead of time to make sure there is something that suits your palate.

I finished off with a Stumbling Nag, which was by far the best beer I had there. For most of my visit, I was the only customer, which was fine.
