Came here for a quick bite and sat outside on a nice warm day. Inside and outside of the restaurant is very clean and comfortable. We both got salads which were fresh and yummy. We both got the half portions of the salads and they were extremely filling! Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often even though she had tables inside and outside. This place has tons of free parking outside. Not only do they offer typical american fare, they have large drinking and social scene. I've heard they sometimes offer live music, but sadly not the day we were there. Service here is really good...our waitress kept checking on us and refilling drinks etc. Our group of 6 drank more than planned because our waitress was so friendly and kept checking in on us! Food comes out quick and good portion sizes. Pricing is about what you'd expect. I didn't drink the alcohol but our group seemed to enjoy them. This place has big screens to see games of your choice teams and is a comfortable setting from high top tables to booths and they have outdoor seating too. Came in after work for a few drinks and apps. We were seated right away. Our server, Alex was so great and attentive. We got the spinach artichoke dip, subbed tortilla chips for pita chips; the steak and cheese eggrolls and the zuchinni sticks. They were all really good! Surprisingly, the zuchinni was my favorite out of all of them. They have a great drink list, beer, wine and cocktails, had some fun seasonal cocktails, but I just stuck with wine. The atmosphere was cool and great music was playing (though a bit loud) the food was very sub par. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was very nice. My friend and I got some apps and a beer. I got the soft pretzel sticks which comes with I think a honey mustard sauce. And I got like Philly cheesesteak roll up type thing. It was pretty tasteless. My friend got the mac and cheese burger. We were not sure what to expect from it. awe thought it was a patty made out of mac and cheese. Go to CITY STREETS- order the onion soup, and be very, very happy! My favorite thing to do, onion soup and half a sandwich. Although all their food is wonderful, I always seem to fall back on this for lunch. Great wait staff, good prices. Parking is easy. That gives you a pub vibe and yet it's comfortable. read more

I got the shrimp tempura rice bowl delivered recently, and it was tasty but I found most of the flavor to have come from the sweet chili sauce. The shrimp was crispy, and the produce was fresh (sans the grilled pineapple, which I imagine was canned). A well balanced dish for sure, I was just hoping for a little bit more umami from the ingredients themselves. Was disappointed to see a barely filled container of beef stew with all gravy and almost nothing in it as far as meat and vegetables goes. All gravy. It should have been called soup and wasn't work the 24.00 process. On the bill I was charged 25.00 and not the menu price. Ordered a glass of Kim Crawford while I waited for the takeout. 19.00. Outrageous prices for the quality and quantity. I spent almost 100 for food that went in the trash. Save your money and eat at home. I have visited this restaurant multiple times as it is quite close to my apartment, the service tends to be poor and expect to spend a long time waiting on you food and even simple items like water. It's saving grace is the food is quite good. Overall if you are willing to be patient and tolerate sub par waitstaff it makes for a good dinner. read more

This restaurant is a favorite of ours and we were there the other night and one of their specials was garlic braised steak tips! In general their regular state tips are the best around but this new addition put the tips over the top!! Can't say enough about the restaurant and their wait staff!! City Streets is a go-to when I want fast, reliable food in a casual atmosphere. Two of us dined on a Friday night. We were able to snag a half-booth which is great for a semblance of privacy. I had a Reisling and they had an ale, both satisfactory. We split a sausage and carmelized pizza which had just the right amount of toppings and especially cheese. One star knocked off because the music was a bit loud and even with the half-booth we had to repeat ourselves often to be heard. That won't deter me from returning however. P.S. A great place for bar/pub fare! PROS: Service! The staff was super friendly. Parking is ample. The seating is nice. There's an outdoor patio as well. CONS: The food was good, not great. Our twice baked potato skins were actually a really cool take on skins appetizer. I did enjoy those. The entrees were lacking in flavor and I found them to be a bit bland for the most part. Fries weren't seasoned and tasted frozen. I think you need to elevate the game with fries, and do the hand cut style these days, to compete with most places. OVERALL: Waltham offers a ton of good pub fare places, except parking is generally a hassle on Main street or the more popular Moody St. If you want quick and easy parking, and a good meal, City Streets is your spot. read more

Covid or not, they weren't busy and the lack of pride was insane. A simple stuffed burger and an order of chicken wings. Both absolutely butchered. burger so over cooked the cheese was no more. The wings rubbery and not very good at all. Had to go back because order wasn't checked, or complete. Had to go back, asked for a small credit for the inconvenience. Was told there was nothing wrong with the order. Don't they realize that in going back to complete my $33 burger and wing order, that they were cold when I got back with said forgotten item. So yes there was a problem with my order. It may seem petty to some, but whatever. In my profession there's accountability and here there isn't. It was served hot. Some pieces were a little crispy and some were a bit chewy. The pomodoro sauce tatsed like a jar of chunky ragu sauce. Crab cakes were really good. Surprisingly good. The City Straws served with it were ok but would've preferred steak fries. The City Straws are basically shredded fried sweet potatos. Fish and chips...i know...boring. I wanted the steak but I want to enjoy the food truck festival tomorrow too. Pretty good serving size. The fish and steak fries were good. As a prior Bentley student, I have frequented city streets. Their nachos are the BEST around especially if you add buffalo chicken. The nachos are huge though so keep that in mind when ordering. Other favorites of mine are the Cobb Salad, the pretzel sticks, and just an order of city tenders with buffalo sauce!! At my last visit I ordered the crab Rangoon dip and the salmon cake salad, both of which are just ok. I think it would do city streets well to shrink the menu a bit and focus on what they're best at. Overall, I think city streets is a great place to just grab a bunch of apps and drinks. Their drink menu is good as well, a few delicious options like the City Mai Tai. If you are crazy about nachos like I am, I would definitely recommend stopping by. You can get a good meal at good prices in a clean restaurant. A lot of food I would rate a 3 but the nachos are out of the park good so they brought the overall rating to 4. read more

Strange place. Went there with a fellow cult mate after a meeting one time. Great food! Great service! However, if anyone reading this is a soul wielder, I wouldn't suggest the men's room. The presence of the Aether is strong in that dreadful room. It's power can be felt in thin air. It is truly terrifying, my friends and I will have future meetings on this and discuss my findings and research. Other than the men's room... City Streets...okay takeout, but wouldn't order from again. I ordered takeout on a weekend and pick-up was super easy, but they have the most inefficient packaging, which was a little annoying. We ordered Fried pickles, honey bbq chicken tenders, hamburger, and a mac & cheese stuffed burger. The fried pickles were okay, the breading wasn't too overwhelming and the pickles still had a crunch. The stuffed mac and cheese burger was very filling, but not satisfying. The mac and cheese are inside the burger, which definitely makes it a bit easier to eat. There is additional melted cheese on top of the burger and I originally thought they forgot about my mac and cheese. The honey bbq chicken tenders are standard, nothing special, also not very saucy. There are quite a lot of steak fries that accompany the burger and unless you're ravenous, you'll have some leftovers of some sort. The fries are chunky and salty, so you do feel like you've eaten a lot. Overall, everything is just meh and you're better off finding another place to eat at. read more

Shoot the name is escaping me now but I ordered there all the time during finals week ... But anyway! The new digs are pretty sweet. The renovated restaurant looks a lot nicer and has a cool atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating. Servers were clearly still learning when my boy and I went but I'm sure that'll fix itself I'm going to suggest sticking to their hot foods. Have had sub-par salads and sandwiches. Arancini is a must. Stuffed burgers are a can't lose. And not sure if pizza was always on the menu but the Prosciutto and Caramelized Onions was mouth-watering. They've got affordable drinks to go with your meal as well. Just know that City Streets is a decent spot but never top of mind when I was eating out in Waltham. read more

The soft pretzel stick appetizer was good but dry in the middle and forced me two order another drink because of how dry it was. The chicken tenders was very crispy and the fry's had room to improve. Briefly, if your looking for sandwiches, burgers or pizza, City Streets is an ok option to a local pub. But don't be fooled by the semi-elevated decor, the food quality of the entrees is not on par. Considering City Streets is close home, I've been eaten there a number of times as well as had food delivered. I really want to like this place, but all on all, given the price vs food quality and consistency (rather lack of) I can't give it any more than 2 stars. I usually get the haddock which, when I started dining there was quite good. In the past year or so, more often than not, the fish is dry, tough and overcooked. The broccoli side had rotted spots. You would think for $30 they could trim the broccoli and have fresh fish. I've also had the mustard crusted chicken, which suffered the same issues - overcooked and tough and again, very inconsistent. Their pizza is ok, but I won't review it because I've found people have very different pizza preferences. Generally the service is friendly, but always feel like I've walked in on someone's party, full of locals greating and chatting with the staff, making you feel a bit like an outsider. The locals, come to think of it, is probably the reason why the restaurant continues to exists. They love having a place close by so give it high ratings to keep it going. The stars certainly are not because of the food quality. read more

Also, the restaurant is very clean and has sanitizer stations throughout and leaves sanitizing wipes as we sat down at the table. Drinks were good, but the food was pretty bland overall. The Mac and Cheese didn't have much flavor and the crab cakes tasted more like fish than real crab. Would definitely return for drinks but probably wouldn't come back for dinner. read more

TWO THUMBS UP!! We came to City Streets for a 50th wedding anniversary with about 20 people. The service was incredible. We were well taken care of. The server was attentive and kind. The owner checked on all of us personally to make sure that we we loved our meals. He also helped with all of our orders, making sure the night ran smoothly.. We sure kept them busy!! The restaurant itself is contemporary and adorable. There was a HUGE patio that I would definitely want to utilize next time. The food was DELICIOUS. For appetizers we had nachos- which were HUGE and so, so good. We also had the carnita potatoes which were to die for. Highly recommend both appetizers! As an entree, I had salmon and pasta. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I loved it, but could only eat half. By that time, I was so full! The portions are huge! Thanks for taking care of us Gino, Rob, and Jen.
