TESSIE'S has replaced The Mad Raven (same owners), quite good burgers (cooked to proper temp), but no Guinness on tap. I guess we are not an Irish pub anymore? I guess we are not in Greater Boston? I guess there are no Irish customers?

Stopped in because it was close by and cute in the outside with hanging flower baskets. So glad we did. Order the PBJ Margarita. As a true peanut butter fan, I had to try. Made with peanut butter whiskey and strawberry puree, it was so darn good. I have to try to replicate at home. Ordered the peach salad with fresh peach slices and candied walnuts with goat cheese and mixed greens. Hit the spot. I'll visit Tessie's again when I'm in town.

Visited the bar for a little, placed a to-go order. The bartender was friendly and food came out fast. The portion was really big and had great flavor. The restaurant was pretty packed for a weekday night which is always a good sign. Plenty of parking on the street. Bar was clean and restaurant was nicely decorated.

They food was really good and the portions were perfect. The bathroom and dining area was clean and our server was so nice and fun. I will be back to have a snack and play some trivia!

"Small. Local. Resilient." Wicked friendly & attentive staff coupled with great vibes. Pair that with great food and a delicious selection of burgers, trust me you will not be disappointed. Tessie's prides itself on sources all local beef, hand formed & cooked to your preferred temperature Served with your choice of house fries, tater tots or house slaw. #1 The Tessie A thicccc & juicy Pattie with cheddar cheese, onion bacon jam, lettuce, tomato & topped with Tessie's smoked avocado aioli. Many thanks to the wonderful folks at Tessie's for a great burger experience. We shall be back... soon.

Probably my top pick when it comes to burger spots in the Boston area, esp with their friendly staff and laidback vibes. Plus, plenty of parking along the main road outside - so finding a spot usually isn't much of an issue. Food-wise, I must say that their burgers are on point - with how juicy and flavorful each and every bite is. Though I must say that their chili is also a good choice, esp on a cold day or if you're looking for something a little on the lighter side. As for drinks, they've got a pretty good rotating list of seasonal cocktails that doesn't disappoint - despite how I'm usually more of a beer-guy myself. And if you're into trivia, they usually have trivia nights on Tuesday evenings as well! Overall, this spot is definitely worth a try!

Came here with some friends for some casual dining. We arrived late due to the lack of available parking. The place was busy on a weekday with just one server. Service was still fairly quick. Food came out nice and hot. The saracha honey hot wings were great. So we decided to order more and try the garlic flavor. Turns out the garlic wings were rather bland and didn't have the same wow as the saracha honey hot wings. The burgers are well sized and one burger was too much for me to handle with appetizers. The drinks were on the heavy side. You are definitely getting your moneys worth. Overall this is a great place to get some bar food & drinks with some friends.

Love Tessie's. Great local bar vibe with a diverse menu of burgers, salads, appetizers, and a few entrees. The servers are always incredibly nice.

I had "Mama needs a break" burger and it has thousand islands sauce with the slaw in it. It tasted very good and my friends built their own burgers. It was overall pretty good. The restaurant has a clean and nice atmosphere. There was only one staff when we went in the lunchtime and he was serving everyone alone. The service was okay.

Amazing charred grill burgers! They have so many varieties of burgers and what I love about this place is that they source locally. I got the one with the Swiss cheese. Perfectly cooked with the right temperature. The beef was so good. I ate. The whole thing. You have a variety of sides. I got the cold slaw and it was really tasty. Will come back here again.

Great food, people, prices. Atmosphere was nice too. Also conveniently located from the center of town. Just outside so far less crowded.

This place sucks. The bartender gave me a hard time about how to find the bathroom, it's that bad. Save your money and go somewhere else.

They have a decent menu with various options and I was torn between the baked haddock or the flat bread. The bartender recommended the haddock and I'm glad I chose that. Everything from the rice, veggies and the fish were cooked perfectly. Fish was soft yet cooked and the ritz cracker crumble gave a nice texture to the fish. The veggies had a great texture and the rice I was amazed at the flavor. Got the Sweet Potato ample cheesecake for dessert and well let's just say that plate was clean! I found the top layer a tad sweet so half way scooped that off to eat the cake and cheesecake part. lol The service was also lovely as the bartender was friendly, attentive and made me laugh. Connecting with guests is always nice.

The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.

I've been here for both of my sisters' graduation brunches, and we always leave happy. It's become one of our favorite spots for a celebratory brunch. For drinks, I tried their new Vanilla Bean Matcha Latte with oat milk. It was a bit thicker than I expected--possibly because of the oat milk. I can definitely see some people loving that texture, but for me it was just okay. That said, it was still a good drink, and the hint of vanilla came through nicely without overpowering the matcha. For food, we ordered a variety of dishes for the table. 1. The chicken and waffles had so much flavor, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly--not too runny, but still soft, gooey, and delicious. The chicken was a little soggy, but it made up for it by being incredibly tender. 2. The blueberry pancake was fantastic. Their pancake portions are huge, so this time we only ordered one to share. It was delicious, though definitely on the heavier side. 3. The house burger was easily the standout dish of the meal and might be my favorite item on the menu. It's simple and classic, but packed with flavor. 4. The chicken burger, on the other hand, was disappointing. The chicken was quite dry, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I think something like pickled onions or another acidic topping could help bring some balance and moisture to the sandwich. 5. We also tried the omelet, which was very good, especially with the goat cheese. What really made the experience special was that the staff noticed we were celebrating a graduation and surprised us with complimentary donuts. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal.
