The infrared saunas here are hot but a nice way to relax and detox! I received a gift card to try this place out from an acquaintance, so decided to swing by. We booked an infrared sauna session (sweat with a friend) for the evening. This location is tucked away in a small strip mall and once you arrive, you are greeted, sign a form, and remove your shoes before entering the main area. The sauna space was nicely organized. There are sauna booths that are separated and have a little bit of space diretly in front of the sauna entrance covered by a curtain that allows you to undress and store your belongings. In our space, we had a timer, a call button for the front desk, a mini fridge with cold hand towels, a sign with all the different color options for the chromotherapy, and a small bench/basket for your belongings. As someone who does not regularly go to saunas, I had to take several breaks throughout the 45-minute session, but it definitely did its job and had me sweating! We enjoyed being able to adjust the colors for the chromotherapy as well. After our session, we were able to rinse off in the shower, and there is a sand room in the back where they set up some non-caffeinated tea for you to decompress. I enjoyed this part because the sand was so smooth and soft, and they do their best to create a calm ambience in the room even if you are just looking at a mural of the ocean. Some downsides for me personally: I felt the space was a bit small and cramped. Each sauna and other offered services are in small box-like rooms that aren't full rooms (the walls do not reach the ceiling). There was only one shower room, and the sand room was a bit tight (only 4 seats). I'd be curious to see if the other locations have a similar or different layout. Additionally, because the walls of the rooms do not reach the ceiling, nothing is soundproof. You can still hear some noise from other folks while in your sauna and are encouraged to keep noise to a minimum to maintain a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Lastly, I believe there is supposed to be a way to connect a bluetooth device in your sauna as advertised on the website, but we couldn't really figure out and weren't sure if it was a good idea to bring any devices in as it was super hot. That said, it wasn't something we absolutely needed so we just decided to hop in and enjoy the sweat. We enjoyed our infrared sauna and would recommend it if it is something you are looking to do regularly. It looked like they had several different membership options that give you access to different services each month. read more

I found this place through ClassPass. The ambiance of the place was cute and chic. It was giving earthy vibes (a little too earthy for me). The place had a musky smell, which gave me a bit of a headache with all of the fumes. Though the place seemed presentable - it didn't feel thoroughly clean and was quite dusty. The service was ok, the main receptionist seemed like she had been forcing herself to be nice and talk in calm voice which made it a bit uncomfortable given that she was very passive aggressive. Prior to the service, (if you book through class pass) they offer you a choice of a health shot, and she recommended me to drink the charcoal. It didn't really taste like anything more than just water and food coloring. During my first service, "mechanical lymphatic drainage" the service on ClassPass was listed as 60 minutes. But the receptionist had only put 45 minutes. I was a bit confused as that was complete false advertising from their service post. As my next service was an hour wait, she heavily offered me to do a sauna wrap instead of doing the cabin even though I had booked for a cabin because of the light benefits. And there were a few cabins open by the time I was done with my first service. The sauna wrap was not that great of an experience, it was burning hot. Again the time listed was 60 minutes but the service I received was only 45 minutes. In the wrap, I couldn't even do the full time due to the wrap burning my skin. At the end of my service, they bring you to the back of the shop and have you sit in this waiting area with sand on the ground. Then they offer you water, cold tea (unsure what type of tea), and a cutie. It was a cute ordeal, but not my taste. The flow of everything felt very forced at an attempt to be calm. Didn't really give me good vibes. Overall, I do not plan on coming back to this place and would not recommend. It is not worth the price on either class pass or their listed price. read more

All the ladies were super sweet here, but someone who has had at least 50+ lymphatic massages in the past inside the U.S. and outside, the service here was not that great. The ambiance is great, even though the music went out for a good 10 minutes and no one turned it back on right away, but the lymphatic itself was not effective. It felt like the lady was just brushing me with her fingers and not actually moving fluid around/out. I left feedback for this company upon their email follow up after expressing how I was not happy with the service, and they failed to even offer to come in and try again, or refund my service. This was an amazing experience! I came here for my first visit today for a 60minute sauna session. I had made my appointment through the City Sweats app. You do need to complete a health questionnaire- FYI and will be sent something to your email, it's really simple and pretty straightforward. I was worried about parking but found a spot at 10am in Bellevue, limited parking but there are options. I was greeted right away and checking in was a breeze. I was given a tour by Kaila. She was very thorough and super helpful with answering my questions. This place is magical! They have single sauna cabins, group sized cabins, and a lovely beach room with real sand. They also provide a lovely refresher post sweat which includes a nice cold herbal tea and a clementine. A shower room is also available with all the necessary accoutrements. Highly recommend providing yourself with some self care by visiting this location. You'll leave feeling lighter and relaxed. read more

What a great find! Small business located near downtown Bellevue. When I entered they took my temperature and since I did my covid screener online she went through that. There was an error on our part, where we marked fever by accident but she caught it. It's good to know that she was going throughly through our paperwork. I suggest completing the paperwork ahead of time on their site. When booking If you plan on coming with a friend I would suggest to get the 2-4 person cabin. There is no price difference. It gives more room, we were a bit on top of each other. The infrared sauna was great! It reached almost 160 degrees. We were working up a sweat! It was nice that they had provided towels and they also offer alkaline water if needed. You can spend the entire hour in the sauna or the last 15 minutes in the beach room. We tried the beach room and it was perfect to relax and cool down from the sauna. They do have a shower as well. I would let them know before if you want to use it so you know that it was cleaned. UPDATE: Now I'm showing a charge for a tip that I did not authorize. I have responded to the CitySweats team via email. I'm a long time customer of City Sweats. This has become one of my favorite City Sweats locations due to their customer service. They also have a parking spot versus the Madison Park and Wallingford locations that only have street parking. The location is clean like other locations. I always book the single cabins since it's just me and I come for the purpose of getting a good sweat! Unfortunately during my most recent visit I booked Cabin 4 (single cabin) and one of the infrared heaters was out. I called the front desk to take a look and they insisted it's still working. However the light isn't on and it's not emitting any heat whatsoever. I measured this by placing my hand in front of the heaters and it's clear the right one isn't working. I'm familiar with this brand of sauna cabin (Jacuzzi) because they are at the locations I most frequent. The full spectrum was set to 100% but the infrared heater on the right is definitely not working. It's discouraging that they would continue allowing people to book this cabin if it's not fully functioning. I would have rather had some type of disclaimer about the cabin before I made the hour drive round trip in traffic from Seattle. I would have been happy to book a different time/cabin. Otherwise I love everything about the location, especially the people! read more

This is my second visit here when I want "ME" time. The world is in chaos and this place is an escape although brief but allows me to focus on my self. While I sweat the toxins away, I would reflect on day, take a moment to jot down my thoughts. Now let me tell you about this location. It's in the heart of downtown Bellevue. Has ample parking. The place itself is inviting, beautiful and tastefully decorated. I love that I can have a sauna cabin all to myself! The staff is friendly, respectfully and does a great job keeping this place so clean! I highly recommend this place. Just tried the infrared sauna today and it was everything I wanted; sweated a ton and came out incredibly relaxed, spent the entire rest of the day floating on air. The space is also decorated in such a lovely way, especially the lounge for relaxing afterwards (salt lamps, curtains, some special sand for sinking your toes into); I felt very cared for and at home. $50 a pop is incredible value as far as I'm concerned; I used to go to a kinda similar cryo spa place in Oakland that charged $100. Tried to make Appt online but all that was avail was an ADA cabin. Not sure why it wouldn't let me book it online but said I had to call in to confirm ADA cabin. Called several times and left message but no answer. Fiancé was able to get ahold of them so he booked us. It was our first time. The ladies acknowledged it was our first time, told them we heard about it through social media/friends and that we had a $15 off first time card. I was getting dressed when my fiancé paid but later mentioned cool we got $30 off and he said he thought it was odd she charged us full price instead of the $15 off. Not the end of the world but it meant we overpaid by $30 and struck me as odd they wouldn't have adjusted the price knowing it was our first time. Seemed stingy/off-putting. Why offer a first time deal and not honor it? Cabin was good, enjoyed the "beach" chill session after. A few ways this experience can be improved: 1. First timers are your sampling opportunity for new members/package sales. Attention to detail to honor promos would go a long way. 2. A couple hooks on walls in the bathroom. We were going home so didn't shower but when we went in the bathroom to change there was nowhere except bathroom floor to set our bag/change of clothes. 3. Hamper in bathroom for people to discard towels (for those who shower at home). 4. I'm probably the only person who notices this type of thing but I thought the stickers shouId be removed from the oranges. The beach is a nice serene treat and then there's the sticker LOL. Simple way to elevate the experience. 5. Last thing is we weren't sure whether to take our clothes out of the sauna cabin room we were in or leave them and come back and change. Had we have known if we could leave our things we maybe wouldn't have had feedback on hooks/hampers above. Nice to have a sign in the rooms to the tune of "you may leave your clothing in room until after the beach" or just have receptionists let you know or something. It was our first time so we didn't know/think about it until we were in the bathroom changing. read more

I had a Restore membership, which was a super deal, but sadly had to cancel it when the company stopped allowing unused services to roll over into the next month. I felt very comfortable the entire time I was receiving services. The decor was amazing and beautiful. The tranquility room felt like a real beach. I could look into the wall mural and envision myself sitting in a cabana enjoying my fruit and flavored water. The massage was wonderful, she listened to me and my body to know what she needed to target and concentrate on. I think I actually fell asleep at one point. Lol My facial was relaxing. I haven't had one in over twenty years. So wasn't really sure what to expect. My skin felt so soft and smooth afterwards. I definitely felt so spoiled. The infrared wrap was intense, but it definitely does what they say. You lay there and sweat while watching TV. Great place! The owner was so nice and informative. She guided us through the entire process and explained the in and outs of what we were doing. I loved the "shot" beforehand to get your service started. Be prepared to sweat. The complimentary alkaline water refills while in Sauna was so nice. The products they use are very high end and smell amazing. After your session is over they guide you to a cool down room, with cold tea and a treat. Was so perfect to relax with your feet in the sand/salt mixture while sipping tea! The place is extremely clean and they take Covid very seriously. Never once did I feel at risk. the facility is super nice and clean. love the concept here, as it's hard to find a sauna outside of a gym (especially during the pandemic). overall meh experience for the reasons detailed below: 1) i was unaware the charge was per person, and $45 at that. this seems overpriced for this experience, considering it costs the facility nothing more for me to use the sauna with my boyfriend.. 2) i was told we were going to receive water while we were in the sauna. waited and waited for this to arrive and it never did. frustrating, since this is extremely dehydrating and would've been a lot more pleasant with the water we expected. read more
