Elegant and peaceful vibe, upbeat staff, delicious food, and well made cocktails. This was a spontaneous date me and my husband decided to do while having a day in the city. We were originally just going for a few drinks but couldn't resist trying the burgers. My husband had the Madam Burger, which was delicious. I had the Wildflower burger and I loved it. I'm not typically a burger person but it was pretty good! I had a classic mule to drink, and it was pretty good but they poured a little strong. I don't mind that though! I also had a Hugo Spritz, which was AMAZING. I had never tried one before and now I will definitely be adding that to my own personal cocktail list at home. Also the egg white wasn't too heavy which I really liked since I'm not always a fan of egg white drinks. I had my bridal shower here and it was the absolute perfect venue!!! I couldn't be happier! First, planning the event was such a breeze and pleasure - Annie & Kevin helped me out via email and they were so accommodating, helpful and eager to help me make my day special. They helped me move the menu structure around, even allowed me to have a cocktail making portion of the day which was soooo fun and something they said they've never done before but it was such a great experience. The day itself, all those who were catering to us were so kind and helpful - I believe the manager that took care of us was Anthony? Can't remember his name but he was super attentive and kind. They let me set up my own dessert bar I prepared separately, they let me bring my own cake and didn't charge a cutting fee, they were just so easy and reasonable to work with. I know a lot of venues in NYC charge for breathing nowadays so it was so fortunate I found this spot! The food was absolutely incredible. Everything was shared family style and I couldn't get enough! All my guests packed the leftover to take home - that's how good it was! The drinks were bottomless and the Wildflower team made sure they kept flowing! I would consider this place a full restaurant, not JUST a cocktail bar. They do have an amazing selection of cocktails and wines, but the food is equally impressive. I know it's not technically pizza but the burrata flatbread is the best pizza I've had in this city. The crust texture was so light and doughy but crisp on the outside. I could eat it every day. My party came in around 11 pm for a late night bite with drinks. Immediately at the door we are met by a very unenthusiastic waiter with an accent who carded me and went "wow" as he realized my age on my ID was much older than he thought I looked. Rude but ok whatever. The waiter proceeded to be rude and cold the entire night, looking impatient and like he wanted to go home. The food and drinks were fantastic though-- which saves this review-- the Lip Smacked cocktail was sweet and gingery, and the Wildflower burger + spinach artichoke were delicious. I hope to come at brunch and try what they have. After eating, while paying, as the tip option appeared, the waiter literally held the machine and stared at me the entire time. Uncomfortable I just hit the default 20% and regrettably wish I tipped less because wtf was that rude af service. It needed a tad of sugar to balance the acid. I couldn't finish it because of the acidity. The place is unnecessary loud, stupidly loud. You cannot hear your dining partner due to everyone yelling. They need sound absorption panels on the wall to help. Cute patio though. We would have ate on the patio had it not been windy. Our bartender was friendly but our server was indifferent. We came at a weird time--4ish on a Sunday. The help was nonexistent. We sat in the dining room, where we didn't get served, so we moved to a high top at the bar. Service was just so slow, but it was not a packed place. The cocktail list is extensive. We ordered the two different burgers, which were delicious. The fries were okay. The Caesar salad was yummy but overly dressed. We also loved the fried pickles--the gherkins really made them crispy and tasty. I remember this location being a couple of different places over the years. You can't beat the location right under the highline. I had higher expectations than I should've had for this place. The vibes and decor was great. Waitress was attentive but not overly annoying. Drinks were good. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. Wings were too dry. The burrata flatbread was decent but saw a little too much oil for my liking (everyone devoured it quickly though). The fish for the sandwich definitely did not taste wild caught, it was overcooked and had a slight ammonia aftertaste that farmed fish have. At least the fries that came with it were good. read more

We've been coming here after our weekly pickleball at Chelsea Piers and it's always a great experience. They have great cocktail and wine options, good happy hour (though we usually miss it) and the food options are delicious. The highlight is how accommodating the staff always is for our large group. We told him no so he said it would be another 15 minutes. We were finally sat at 7:35 but the service after that was excellent and they comped a bunch of drinks and apps for us. Our waiter was so sweet and really helpful and so funny. The service once we sat down was great, and so was the food. The restaurant was beautiful. I don't like any part of leaving this review, except that I hope it will help reverse what feels like a trend toward mediocrity. Here are my thoughts, complaints, and suggestions, as well as observations on my experience today: I have loved this place from Day One. I've now dined here for HH and dinner on many occasions Food is usually well above par. Service has been exceptional and so friendly. Atmosphere is great. Relaxed and welcoming as a local place for me to unwind during HH after a long week. Today was different. I ordered two appetizers and beer. I'm alone so I anticipated (based on experience, I've never had both appetizers come out together when dining alone, so maybe it was a different assumption by waitstaff) that each appetizer would arrive separately so each is consumed hot and fresh. Both came at the same time. I sent back the spring rolls until I finished my wings. Staff didn't balk, which was nice. When I received the spring rolls, I must've gotten the original order held somewhere in the kitchen because they were cold and rubbery - as mentioned, the whole point of asking for them to come later is to have a hot and fresh appetizer. I'm sure I'm not the only table who ordered spring rolls; the order was untouched and therefore eligible to be served to another table. I was really surprised they returned cold food. Really shouldn't serve cold food no matter what the situation. They're not good cold, neither is the dipping sauce. It is extremely disappointing to spend so much money on something that is so below subpar. Spring rolls and chicken wings used to be on the HH menu; due to high popularity they removed them and subsequently began jacking up the price. Service is otherwise at turns rushed but polite to nonexistent and likely not due to any attitude or bruskness of the waitstaff- it's very busy and there is an inadequate number of staff available to serve. I get that it might be challenging to hire additional staff for many reasons, but making note that it isn't fair to waitstaff not to have more assistance. Not thrilled with the higher prices for the same food simply because it's so popular especially since it was cold. I'm not a picky diner. But I do expect better quality and hot food. I didn't express a complaint to anyone because the waitstaff are doing their best. But this was a major disconnect that needs attention. And if possible, please reconsider he HH menu and at the very least put the wings and spring rolls back. I know it's a slim margin for profit at any restaurant. I truly appreciate the efforts and pains that go into making a place successful. Many areas of operation are still excellent. But please don't slide. I love having this place be available. It's absolutely lovely in many respects. Thanks. read more

The place is very nice I love the decor and the food was really good. However, I made notes on the reservation it was a birthday and told the hostess privately to send chocolate cake with candle. The runner dropped the cake with no candle as we watched the ice cream fall to the side. For the third time I asked for a candle. It never came. The waitress never touched the table and attended a larger party for a birthday. We had to ask a busser for check because waitress was no where to be found. She never apologized. This restaurant is right under the high line on West 23rd St. 4 stars for the cocktail and the staff. They were all wonderful and very catering.
