DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP Admittedly I was young and that's most likely why they took advantage of me. In September 2017, I returned my car to this dealership (with plates on - I know NOW that this was an error but I wasn't aware then) after my insurance payment nearly quadrupled and my car note was unaffordable. They texted and called me relentlessly to come back and take the car. They admitted they had the car in their possession and proceeded to drive it around NYC and Westchester, accumulating over $1200 in parking tickets and $700+ in ezpass violations. I had to find out from ticket notices mailed to me about tickets/violations almost going into judgement. I went to court twice and luckily because they sent me proof, on their letterhead or in text messages, that they had the car this whole time, I was able to get most of this vacated and dismissed. It's only coming up again EIGHT YEARS LATER because there was a 2017 ticket that fell through the cracks from New Rochelle that I'm also getting dismissed now. It's really ridiculous that the statute of limitations expired already. But I'll be taking this to the Better Business Bureau also because this operation is fraudulent and they scam you here. There seems to be some sort of poison in the water well Hyundai dealers drink. I was helping a relative negotiate a deal. Annabelle calls me up and she asks me if I'm still interested in purchasing a car even though I already told the dealership I'm not interested. She asks me the question and when I told her I'm not interested she hangs up the phone. Other Hyundai dealerships change prices, cancel agreements, renegotiate contracts, and violate state law without penalties. Too clever by half corporate operators who drip contempt for customers from the moment you arrive and have no idea where to enter, or who to speak to. Once you figure out how to get in the place they direct you to customer service agents who are as friendly as your local DMV DEI hires. Their job is to get you to commit to an expensive inspection (over $325, whether they can diagnose the problem or not), without your ever having spoken to a mechanic about anything. You ask how long this might take they tell you at least two hours, and possibly much longer. And that's after you've made the appointment! I left, and was lucky I didn't wreck trying to get out of there (they are located on the very busy service road leading to I 95 S). Bottom line? I got played like a violin at Cityworld. They must of been clowning me when I left out the door on how they suckered me. I don't know how these dealers sleep at night knowing how they lie, steal, and cheat just to make a sale. Long story short- 1. Was sold a car with an accident without being notified. ( had I known i would never buy a car with an accident) 2. Was lied to about not qualifying for a lease when I actually was but was swindled into financing a preowned car with an accident. 3. Lied to about the total amount of payments on the car. In short, Don't be fooled by the friendly chit chat and irrelevant talk about things other then your purchase- Diana is good at this - she got me good.... with all the distractions and friendly talk and failed to disclose the car had an accident. She will ask you 100 questions that has nothing to do with the car to bamboozle you. Don't sign your car fax until you have confirmed the information on the car. They will purposely rush you through the signing process! Also they tire out their customers by dragging out the whole process to almost 5 hours while they do switch and bate on prices- so you are so exhausted and just want to sign and leave. They had me in there till almost 10 at night with a newborn baby! Went in the next day to try to Resolve this issues and again they try to play me for a fool with their back and forth shenanigans and in the end blame me for buying the car-even was told leases are more expensive then financing- like what ???? Okay I'm boo boo the clown. So yea I was on a high thinking I got a good deal till I saw the car fax and was offered the option to purchase again but with a lease. CityWorld has extremely unethical practices and knows how to scam people without knowing they got scam. If it wasn't for the car fax report being emailed I wouldn't have known about the accident nor that I qualified for a lease. To all who read this: Remember you do not have to sign anything! They. Are. Horrible! My dealership closed and blue link made me an appointment with City World. I took my car in on 11/12/2021 because the door handle was broken and the start stop was not working. I also decided to get an oil change and a tire rotation. They changed the oil and rotated the tires right away. They manager (Jimmy Rodriguez) told me they fixed my door handle properly and that the previous dealership didn't do it right. The door handle is still loose and needs to be pushed to the right to open the door. In other words, it's the same way it was last time before it fully broke. When I dropped off the car I told him to please call me when it was ready. He said oh no no no, you can wait because it won't take long. Well, it took two hours to change the oil and rotate the tires. He then tells me they are about to fix your start stop. The guy trying to fix it spent a little over an hour driving my car around the Bronx to supposedly fix the problem. He took three different workers out riding (I assume to get their opinion). I bought my car in with a full tank and he ended up using a quarter tank of gas for nothing when gas is expensive. Three hours in the Jimmy Rodriguez (I think service manager) came and told me it's the battery and you need a new one (the car is less than three years old). I then said okay, do you need to order it? He said of course not, we keep batteries here. Just give us a few he said. I stood and watched and the guy never did anything else on my car. So, an hour later (now four hours in), the manager comes back and says we don't have your battery. We need to order it! At this point I am pissed and so annoyed but I say nothing about it because I want my car fixed. I just smile and say okay, thank you. The manager tells me on 11/12/21 that the battery will be in by Tuesday (11/16/21) and he will call me. By 11/22/21, I start calling them because it's been a while. I called them three different times and each time, I was hung up on. Twice I called and was told let me transfer you and they hung up on me and once I called and they left me on hold for the longest and then I hear someone pickup while talking in the background. Then the phone slams down. Today is 12/16/21, and my car is still not fixed and I never got a new battery. CITY WORLD never called me back and I can't get anyone in service to answer. So do yourself a favor and RUN, don't walk from this place. Not sure why I see good reviews. They lost a customer. Since my dealership closed, I thought I could buy my next car from them when this one goes back in January 2022. Obviously that's not happening. I came here to purchase my first car, which I did, I got a 2022 palisade, and my rep was Izzy which she was excellent, professional, and did everything she could when guiding me on the process. She got me a good deal on my insurance and everything, Izzy you rock. But I must say, I left without anyone telling me anything about the car. I was being told they would tell me more about the vehicle and how to use its features and everything regarding registration, but no one told me anything. MY BIGGEST ISSUE: BUYERS BEWARE. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH NEGOTIATIONS, ESPECIALLY WITH THEIR MANAGERS, TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR NEGOTIATION PAPERS, AND DON'T LET THEM RUSH YOU; THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED WITH ME. The manager lied to me and robbed me for $3,000. I told him I could only do $50k at the most with EVERYTHING included, and I mean everything taxes, fees, and downpayment. After negotiations, it went from $52 thousand and a couple of hundred to $50k flat, great. But to my surprise, what he did was not include my downpayment. He hid that fact, so I ended up paying over the 50k we agreed upon. I told him I couldn't do one more dollar from 50k, but he ended up playing with the numbers to make it look like he was coming down to 50k flat with everything included, but he decided not to have the down payment, so he charged me more then what the car was worth. We agreed on the car coming out to a $50k flat. My down payment was supposed to bring it down to $47k, but he made the car cost $53k, which was a few hundred more than he originally wanted.
