I've genuinely had the best experience at this restaurant, I was walking around looking for lunch today and I had seen city bird before and even delivered a few door dashes from there. Stopped in to check it out for myself. I was instantly greeted by the lady up front. I wasn't able to get her name, she had told me but I wasn't able to get it. I asked for the 4 piece tender meal and asked for a suggestion on whether I should get them house, hot or naked. She suggested the house since it was my first time. I went to go get my drink after paying and withjn 3 minutes my food was ready. As I went to grab my food, she thanked me for my patience and handed me a free 4 piece tender meal ticket! I just want to say this place deserves all the love that I was shown and please if anyone knows the lady's name, I'll need it for the next time I stop by. She had long braided hair and a piercing in her upper lip. Eventually I made it back to Findlay market to eat my food and I don't think I've had better chicken before. It was tender, juicy, and the house sauce is to die for. The fries come with I think Parmesan cheese on them too, pretty good. Easy order online and pick up in store. Although I did have to re enter my credit card info via the online platform several times. House tenders were crispy and well seasoned. Convenient casual chain food item for a late night snack. Salad comes with ranch or house vinaigrette or both. I've been to CityBird multiple times now and every time it's been very consistent. I always order the spicy sandwich meal which comes with their delicious thin cut Parmesan fries that pair perfectly with the sandwich. The spice on the sandwich is really great and adds to the flavor of it as a whole. The service was fine, you go up to the counter and order so nothing too crazy and the wait for food wasn't long at all. At this location there isn't any seating besides a few stools which is kind of inconvenient so if this is the location you will be going to just be prepared to take it to go. However, if the weather is nice I'd recommend sitting and eating at Washington Park which isn't a far drive from there. read more

Tasty sandwich but the salt overwhelmed the spice and flavor for me. I didn't get heat as much as I did salt. The chicken was very juicy though, so I would try again without the spicy sauce and see if that makes a difference. The food came out quickly while also be piping hot! Portion sizes were pretty good for the price, restaurant was clean and staff was helpful. I got drawn in by the reviews and the cost per tender. Don't let it fool you. Their tenders are 1/2 to 1/3rd the size of the bigger chains like raising Cane's, Guthrie's, or Tender Towne. Nice lunch spot for something tastes and different. I stopped by with some co-workers to give it a try and it gets a thumbs up. My husband and I went here while downtown one afternoon, looking for something fast in case our newborn decided to have a meltdown. We both grabbed their tenders with fries and a drink - I got the house lemonade. I also got the Buffalo sauce and lemon thyme ranch. The lemonade was delicious and the chicken was surprisingly better than expected. They were seasoned well and reminded me a bit of Chik Fil A tenders in flavor. The downside is they are incredibly small tenders, so I'd order a larger number of tenders if you are hungry. The fries were disappointing. The parmesan seasoning didn't stick and they needed more salt as well. Neither my husband or I really ate the fries and they ended up in the trash. The sauces were okay, but not great. We stumbled upon this gem and we were extremely impressed. We were walking in Cincy and hmm let's try this spot and we was amazed. First we started with extremely good service . Everyone was extremely knowledgeable about the tenders and the assortment of sauces. We decided on the mega box tender combo with fries we had the bbq sauce and blue cheese and ranch as our dipping sauces . The tenders were flavorful and meaty served hot with good spices . The dipping sauces were just a extra because the chicken was great without sauce . The fries had Parmesan and parsley tossed on top that gave them the perfect amount of seasoning mixed with dipping sauces gave it the perfect balance . For drinks they have peach sweet tea man o man was it good not too sweet perfect amount of flavor. I see you, Cincy. You and your fancy tenders.... Um, when are we gonna get one of these in Lou?? As a typical millennial, I am a chicken tender fanatic. When you need a quick to go meal during a road trip, what could be better? I would have never guessed this place came from the owners of The Eagle. But that's no problem for me, because I love both. The first thing you should know is that you'll pretty much need to take your food to go. There are literally two chairs inside as it is a small space, but it seems like when it's warmer they may put some chairs outside, too. The menu is also pretty simple; chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich. I went with the four tenders, which comes with fries and a sauce. I went with the honey dijon. For what may seem like an easy basket of tenders and fries, the food was really good. If you've been to The Eagle, the fries are the same and their tenders have a little spicy kick to them. Even for the smallest basket, I had a hard time finishing it all as it was a lot of food!! CityBird is cool. I like it and I would love to come back. read more

This review deserves an update! I typically eat pretty healthy and avoid most fried foods, but when I'm in the mood to tear up some chicken and fries, Citybird is one of my favorite places to get some grub from. The tenders can be small, but oh-so-delicious, and always seem to fill me up faster than I expect. I also love the variety of sauces. If you're like me, I'd recommend paying for some extra sauces so you can have some variety for your dipping pleasure. Not in the mood for tenders? The spicy chicken sandwich is an excellent choice. As many other Yelpers have mentioned, the fries here are delicious. They have really grown on me (the sprinkled parmesan on top is a nice touch)! That Spicy Chicken burger is no joke! It is HOT! Citybird tenders is a must try for all the fried chicken lovers out there. In the corner at the start of OTR, this place is essentially a takeout setup, with almost no seats inside. So don't expect to have a dine in experience here. My friend got the Lemon thyme chicken burger, and I got the much recommended Spicy Chicken one. First impressions? The burger is slightly on the smaller side. But it is packed. One bite into this awesomeness, and I was impressed! However, it is really hot. Like not as mild as the Wendys or Chick-fil-A spicy ones. The lemon thyme was maybe my favorite, because of its herby taste. The burger costs like $7 which is a tad bit over for the quantity, but you do get a quality burger. read more

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I was in the area and decided to stop by here for lunch to try a new place. I walked in and there was a customer chatting with the workers, but other than that there was no line. I walked right up to the counter and ordered. Since I'd never been here before, I decided to go with something quick and simple - 4 tenders, sauce, and fries. The lady at the register asked what type of sauce I wanted and I informed her I liked sweet BBQ to see what she recommended. She said the Cola BBQ. She gave me my total and our communications ended there. The food came out really quickly. I was waiting for maybe a minute or two - enough time for another customer to come in and grab his pre-ordered food and go. I was very excited to dive into this meal as I was driving home because it smelled SO GOOD! My drive was only about 15 minutes or so, but each minute that I drove the more mouth watering the food became. When I arrived home and opened my box, I noticed how small the chicken tenders were. I was really disappointed in their size. After taking a bite, I realized how tender and delicious the chicken was. I definitely love the tenders! The BBQ sauce was okay - it was sweet, but very watery. It dripped everywhere. The fries looked amazing at first, but were ice cold and flimsy. The parmesan is a great touch and did add some flavor. I think these would taste great, if you were able to eat them as soon as they are served to you. Overall, I think this place is just okay. There are better places to get tenders from. read more

Since my first visit & over the past few weeks have helped out in a bind on Mondays there's not much open food wise in OTR. A few weeks ago I needed food for 40 guests at the last minute they took care of boxes of tenders, salads and fries for the group in no time. Chicken was really juicy and just the right amount of coating. Like the variety of sauces you can get. Now the other side - Considering it is basically carry out, it seemed a little pricey. Also, the chicken tenders were on the small side for the money. Chicken had a lot of pepper, almost to much.
