The chicken was not juicy and fresh, it appeared to be over-cooked as it was not a golden brown but dark from in old grease that should have been changed out. These fries are the best fries I've ever eaten in and around Cincinnati during my rather long lifetime. I've lived in Europe and eaten many a fry in Belgium including the city of origination (supposedly) - Bastogne as well as my all time favorite fries served in the Hotel Splendid in Montreaux, Switzerland (my all-time best). Stopped in for lunch for the first time today and it was pretty good. My daughter and I both ordered tender sandwiches and we split an order of fries. I ordered the spicy sandwich and my daughter ordered the regular sandwich. We both thought the sandwiches had a good flavor. I think the fries had too much parmesan for me and the sauces were a little strange (we had the honey and jalapeno - preferred the honey). Would have appreciated some more traditional options. I was so excited when I found out that another CityBird location was opening...this time right up the street from me! Chicken tender fast food restaurants are all over the place but my heart belongs to the Bird. Their tenders are on the smaller side and I never noticed this at the OTR location because I've always ordered a sandwich. I ordered the 4 piece and my boyfriend ordered the 6 piece. I honestly should have ordered the 6 piece. You get to choose a dipping sauce and they have a unique variety including the famous hot honey from the mother restaurant The Eagle. The meals come with fries, but I opted for slaw. I love their slaw because it's on the drier side. Very light with lots of cabbage and no mayo drippage. I hope CityBird does well. Like I mentioned before, there are so many other tender restaurants in the area that I hope they can compete. read more

I tried this place on a whim and I am SO HAPPY I did! On the outside it seems like just another fast chicken place but don't be fooled, the quality is much higher than its competitors in my opinion. The website claims the chicken is free range which is lovely to hear and it definitely tasted wonderful and very juicy. Our food was made very quickly and the employees were very nice, clean inside but we ate outside. The fries are thin cut and delicious, very well seasoned with salt and herbs and definitely a LOT in one order! Our two sandwiches were both very good and we could tell the sauces are very distinct and specially made; the flavor profiles were very distinct and both were amazing, when we come back well he trying the other two sandwiches on the menu! (As of now can recommend the hot and the Seoul chile).
