I was here for a business meeting, and I must commend my boss for choice of location! This was my first experience at Popeyes, and it was a good one! It's nothing like my typical kfc, but food is like my children and I would never compare my children. I got their classic chicken sandwich. They put pickles and mayo on it which really exasperated the flavor and crunch of the chicken. Don't even get me started about the fries! They were MUY RICO! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy! Now, my motto is "I don't lie..." so I have to say the service was below mediocre. I'm not sure what a rush looks like for these employees, but as someone who has worked the food industry, they need to get the food out fast. There's still hope for them though because hard work pays off! With hard work and dedication, I believe they can have 5-star service! To end, I really liked the vibes inside the store. Never once received our order correctly. First to Ime through drivethrough they said they have no coleslaw at all so just gave us one side when we paid for 2. Second time we mobile ordered to get ahead and we did not receive any sauces or coleslaw. If I could give negative stars I would. This has to be the worst Popeyes franchise to exist and will be very suprised if it stays open. I placed a mobile order that was supposed to be ready when I got there. I then was screamed at to pull up to the door because my food was not yet ready. I was waiting there for 22 minutes then finally decided to go back to the window where they told me they forgot about my order. I ordered the 6 wing special. Everywhere in this area, A chicken wing consists of a drumette. a flat and a flight (the pointy part). NOT Popeyes, What I got on my order was 2 flats and 4 drumettes. ALL soaked soaked in Ghost Pepper sauce. (Not listed on the drive thru board. WHY would a company default to Ghost Pepper and not plain/mild. Mashed and gravy OK. I enjoyed their delicious popcorn shrimp while stopping in this week and it paired very well with their cole slaw. I am looking forward to stopping back in to enjoy their cajun fries on my next visit. Gonna start this review off with a disclaimer: Popeyes can be hit or miss. When the chicken is hot and fresh, instant 5 stars. The outer breading is super crispy, but the chicken underneath remains hot and juicy. Not to mention an assortment of legendary dipping sauces to supplement. The boneless tenders don't tend to be quite as good as the traditional chicken, and the spicy chicken isnt as noticeably different from the plain Hands down, the best item on the menu is the chicken sandwiches. The spicy is actually pretty hot too. I never thought about comparing it to chifila but this sandwich is like Chick-fil-A on steroids. For a boneless chicken breast it is consistently more moist and flavorful than the tenders. The sauce on the sandwich is also heavenly. Big portion The building is older but clean. I just came to this location for the very first time. It had a lovely crew, and the service was fast and friendly. Our food was also very hot, which made it quite enjoyable. There was a gentleman up there who recommended that we get our chocolate chip biscuits fresh, and that was just the way to go. They were so good, and I totally recommend coming to this location. The food was pretty good but there was only about a Tblsp of gravy on the mashed potatoes. It was difficult to find out which way to go to order at drive-thru and to pickup and difficult to communicate with the order taker. The food was fresh and hot and tasted good though. This is hands down the best Popeyes in the area! The food is always hot and fresh, and employees are always friendly and polite. My favorite is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, although everything I've had here has been pretty good. I have to admit- I drive past another Popeyes that's closer to me, just to come to this location for better food and service. read more

Most of the others are staffed with rude, lazy employees, and provide horrible customer service. The employees here are nice and friendly and customer service is great! I've always been a huge fan of this chain. Great food, sides and biscuits. The issue I've always had is the lack of customer service and downright indifference. A coworker and I decided to try the new chicken fillet sandwich. First off, the popeyes is practically brand new in Mason. The aroma was incredible. The issue....10 customers standing around waiting on their food. No organization or coordination of ordering and delivering food to customers. Cashier was pleasant, however manager on duty was abrupt and curt to other customers. One cashier during lunch hour and a team behind her only sets her up for failure. Manager could've stepped in and helped but instead decided to focus on drive through cashier. My first couple of jobs were in this industry and I know from experience that it isn't easy....especially where there is no one backing you up. On a positive: The sandwiches are really quite yummy. I personally like the crunchy coating and larger pickle slice. It reminds me of the old po-boys that they used to have in years past. Popeye's sides have always been a hit and today was no different. AS far as the comparison to chic fil a.... well, that is a no win comparison...especially with the service levels of popeyes. Honestly, I'm not sure why Popeyes is serving the sandwiches in a paper wrapper with a foil "chic fil a " type bag over it. If the bag was sealed, you'd loose the crispy crunch that is definitely a unique and desirable attribute of the sandwich. Let's get the service level up to par with the food! read more

I used to drive well out of the way to go to other locations because the food here was just bad; little pieces of unseasoned chicken that didn't have the Popeye's taste at all, cold/old sides, etc. my last two visits have been OUTSTANDING! Fast and friendly drive-through service, nice size chicken pieces that are flavorful and filling, tasty sides, and fresh fountain drinks. Checked this place out for a quick dinner to go. They were pretty empty yet I still had to wait about 10-15 minutes to get food since they didn't have things ready. However, the staff was very nice and friendly offering me a drink as an apology for my wait. They got the order right and the chicken was hot, juicy, and tasty. Is there a biscuit shortage going on that I do not know about? Every time I order one...ONE...extra biscuit, I never get it. Usually I am on my way to work so I do not have time to stop and check to make sure my extra biscuit is in there. Okay so I come here a lot because it's my favorite restaurant when I don't have time to cook, and I always come at a non-busy time so that when I ask for my MADE TO ORDER chicken tenders, it isn't a problem for them to make them. When you come late at night, the food tends to sit and be old. So normally its not a problem, but today, the MANAGER told me that there was plenty of the spicy tenders up there and she wasn't making any. Poor management and I will be calling corporate. read more
