I moved to Cityfront about 5 months ago. This is a 30-40 year-old building but don't let that discourage you. It's very well designed with practical floor plans that offer plenty of storage, in-unit laundry (in select units), great building amenities, stunning views, in a fantastic location - super close to Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods, AMC, etc. Concierge is friendly and attentive, Maintenance is responsive and professional. I understand they renovate individual units one-by-one after old tenants move out. The only problem I can think of is Management. Before I signed the Lease I asked them to confirm that a) my unit will be "fully renovated" by the time I move in, b) there will be NO carpet in my bedroom, and c) my kitchen will have the same features and finishes as the model unit that I was shown during my tour. They confirmed all of that in writing (email). Based on that information I went ahead with signing the Lease, but didn't move in until 6 weeks later because my apartment was not available earlier. I understood it was being "fully renovated" during that time. When I moved in I noticed that the bedroom was carpeted and my kitchen cabinets were 25% smaller than in the model unit, plus they looked 30 years old. They re-floored my entire apartment 5 days after my Lease started, however it took them more than 3 months to replace my kitchen cabinets, blaming 4-5 weeks' delivery time from the supplier. They completely ignored the fact that they had 6 weeks to do it before I moved in. There were a few instances early on when I smelled cigarette smoke in my apartment, coming in from other units through the vents, even though they have a strict non-smoking policy (which apparently is enforced very arbitrarily). This seems to have improved after I pointed it out. About 2 weeks into my Lease, I noticed silverfish and other bugs crawling on my bathroom floor. I wanted to get a sense of how serious the issue was. I installed glue traps in various places and I've kept replacing them in regular intervals, usually at the beginning of each month. As of today, there have been 178 silverfish and other bugs trapped in my bathroom. I attach a few photos for your amusement. These were all taken in a "fully renovated" apartment with "upscale features and finishes" in a building that's advertised as a "luxury high-rise". Oh, the beauty of marketing. Notice the rotten vanity wood on some of the photos, with holes and cracks in it. To date, I have confirmed 8 times that there's a pest control problem in my unit, and I exchanged about 15 emails with Management about it. They treated the issue 4 times so far, essentially dumping more and more chemicals into my bathroom. The result is that my bathroom is still infested as of today, 5 months after I moved in. Draw your own conclusions. My take on the above is that a) they mislead potential residents into signing the Lease based on false information, expecting them to suck it up after they move in, and b) they continue to plaster the symptoms of recurring issues with partial and ineffective solutions that don't work, rather than resolving the root causes on their first attempt, which would however require a bigger investment upfront (i.e., renovate my bathroom properly rather than keep dumping more and more chemicals into it). I can only assume that they do it because they want to save money and cut corners wherever they can. Management doesn't seem to think about this building longer term (i.e., renovate it properly and then keep it in the best possible shape). Their thinking comes across as very transactional, short-term, cheap, stingy, shrewd, with little integrity - they will try to outsmart you with misleading communication and canny solutions that don't work, which they hope will shut you up. I observed this approach at both property (Alex) and regional (Jorge) management levels. To complete the picture, they offered me $1,000 if I move out in January, which seems to confirm their managerial pattern - rather than do their job properly, they will try to get rid of you. It's a shame because this is otherwise a great building that deserves much better. I would like to address the following message to Heather Fleetham, VP of Operations for LPC Midwest. Dear Heather, if the above practices reflect your genuine beliefs on how residential properties should be managed, please reconsider your career options. This is not meant as a criticism, but as a constructive, well-intentioned piece of feedback. Different people are good at different things - the arts, sciences, business, humanities, etc. I am sure that you have many talents, but property management is definitely not one of them. If, however, the above practices are isolated cases of mismanagement at property (Alex) and regional (Jorge) levels only, please consider if any changes are necessary. You will be doing a huge favor to all Cityfront residents, maintenance staff, and the building itself. Thank you. read more

Ok. I live in this bldg right now. Great location. Great views. They have an outdoor deck for the summer. Gym is nice with flat screens and good clean equipment and indoor lap pool plus hot tub (but you must pay additional $50/month). Parking sucks. If you have people who have to drive to see you - they can street park at $2.50/hour max of 2 hours. They have deck parking but it will cost your first born kid. If you like to cook - there is no vent on top of electric stove....kinda of a bummer...your smoke alarm will go off. But my biggest problem is that your Heat/AC have to be turned on for the whole bldg. and they turn them off/on at weird times during the year. Case in point., as I am typing this right now...it is 81 degrees in Chicago....I have no ceiling fans and no A/C...and as you know heat rises. I called and they said "oh so sorry, go get yourself a fan" - I pay my rent on time every month I should at least be comfortable in my own apt. So basically, before you move into an APt bldg check to see if you control the heat/AC unit for your individual apt. If you are a person that generally likes cooler temps and are hot blooded this will be a problem. Windows can only be opened slightly. Also, the dry cleaners downstars wil rape you. They charge $2.00 for Shirt...most place are $1...but that's more of a convenenice thing I guess. If it wasn't for the Temperature thing I would stay here....but its kinda uncomfortalbe waking up at night drenched in sweat...I know its only for a couple of months....but I pay rent for those months. read more

CITYFRONT BUILDING MANAGER: Dimitri Kritikos When I moved into Cityfront Place Apartments, May 5, 2017, I was very excited to meet the then leasing building manager. Unfortunately, I found her aloof and disinterested in much outside of signing new leases. Complaints were often dismissed as non-issues. Her replacement building manager, Jane, developed into a pleasure to be around. With a ready smile, Jane was much more communicative and a good listener. She worked well with me on major apartment issues. When Jane left in June-July 2020, during Covid-19, it took me awhile to become aquatinted with her replacement Dimitri Kritikos. Though an imposing well-dressed figure, easily identifiable - he lives in the building - he appeared quiet, respectful and courteous. Given the challenges that surfaced by the end of 2020, my communication with Dimitri increased exponentially, and every time we spoke I found him to have kind-eyes. Communicating with Dimitri on the most uncomfortable subject was made easy by his handling of the matter. Appearing to be openly compassionate, empathetic, patient and I repeat, the kindest eyes. His demeanor is exemplary given the stress a person in his position must face after 15 months of a pandemic, and many residence experiencing loss of life and income. I applaud Dimitri for the qualities that he exhibits, and the way that he deals with each situation and individual in a nonjudgmental, justifiable manner. Kudos! read more

I have been living at Cityfront for two years and absolutely love it! We are in a one bedroom apartment with a south east view. Whenever we have guest over, their mouths drop at how beautiful the view is! We also get a lot of natural sunlight which is nice! Our apartment is extremely spacious. Before renting at Cityfront we looked at over 15 different apartments, and not one of them felt as large and homie as Cityfront. My favorite part of my apartment is my closet-it is HUGE!!!! The building has amazing amenities including a huge fitness center that my fiancé and I use weekly. The building is located right on the river walk so amazing in the summer time. The maintenance staff is amazing. Thank you Faton for always being so kind and helpful!! The building is very clean and always smells amazing. This is usually rare to find in a building that is dog friendly. The management office is always very helpful whenever I need something. They also have building link which is very helpful for submitting maintenance requests and reserving the conference room (which I use a lot bc I work from home! ) We are so excited to renew for what will be our third year here!! read more

I've been at Cityfront Place for about a year and a half. Pre-Covid it was exactly how it's described in the ad, absolutely fantastic, great staff, amazing location, superb amenities etc., so much to offer... Just like everywhere it's different now but the staff has been absolutely fantastic. The day to day changes with this pandemic are a total pain in the ass for everyone (EVERYWHERE) and management company's and building staff's consistency with keeping it's tenants up-to-date and most importantly, safe, is both impressive and appreciated. The building is as spotless as it has always been. The maintenance staff attends to our needs in a very timely manner as always. The front desk staff (a.k.a. postal workers, security guards, elevator operators, rule enforcers, complaint takers) have had to wear so many new hats, and they are all wearing them well - Beverly, in particular with her 'above and beyond' work ethic and positive attitude...something we all need right now. Really excited for thgings to return to some sense of normalcy...whatever that means! ;) read more

Lovely place and all the team are lovely, I can only speak nice things about this wonderful team. Especially the doorman "Preciuos" is super friendly and is always willing to help you in everything, it is a pleasure to enter the building and see her. "Flor and Griselda" are charming, always ready to help you in everything, and the building is super clean, thanks to them we win every day in security with the Covid. The maintenance guys are very efficient if something goes wrong you will have it fixed within a few hours of putting your notice. And of course Daniel who was the guy who made us get to know the building and enjoy it. Ahhh and also this building have indoor pet park for dog, it is very helpful during the cold weither. They are an incredible team. My husband Rickardo and I are very grateful and happy to live in this building with all kinds of comforts in your day to day. read more

I have been living here for 4 years and planning to be here for a long time. I am a very fortunate to have found such an amazing place to live. Its in the perfect location for great shopping on Michigan Ave, Movie Theater, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Navy Pier, Ohio beach and etc..... are all in a walking distance. The views from my apartment are breathtaking, I got the best of both worlds lake and city view. I love laying out on our beautiful luxuries deck, where I can enjoy barbecuing and eating outside in amazing views all around me. Now I save the best for last......... Donna & Debbie's staff are remarkable, caring, kind and professionals. They are always there for anything I need and promptly. I have lived in River North for the past two years but found myself outgrowing that neighborhood and wanting to live somewhere with easy access to work, great restaurants, and somewhere not so loud and busy as River North. After touring several of the buildings near by I decided on Cityfront. Laurie was the leasing member that toured me and had me sold before we even looked at the amenities. Laurie worked on the application process with me from start to finish and made everything easy! On my first day home she had a gift waiting for me in my apartment which was very sweet. The leasing office's attention to the building and residents really makes living here feel like a dream. Concierge is also so friendly and helpful. So far my experience has been a 10/10! read more

Great community, amazing staff! I've been living here for 16 mos. Cityfront Place is at a walking distance to all Chicago great attractions, nightlife and events, yet living here is calm and safe. The traffic is local to the community that lives here, I can walk on the streets like I would in the suburbs. It is a great balance of tranquility, safety and activities. There are plenty of options of restaurants from all around the world, and the best groceries chains imho (Whole Foods and Mariano's) are the closest ones. I have to say it comes with a price tag though. If you like what a big city like Chicago can offer, Cityfront Place is definitely one of the best options. read more

My wife and I have beeni living at CityFront for 4 months and we love it. The rental staff has been outstanding and the building engineers are most responsive to even the smallest of problems. The building also has great ammenties: a pool, party room, great laundry, library, fitness center, patio grilling, and fresh coffee every morning. Cityfront has also partnered with many businesses in the area to get special deals for its tenants. I like the 25% off we get at Lizzie McNeils. All in all, my wife and I have been very happy we made the move here, and don't let me forget the 24 hr. front door staff. They're warm and friendly and really make you feel at home. read more

I am a broker in Chicago and I really enjoy working with Stephanie Albury. My clients also really enjoy working with her. She makes the process of applying for a unit very seamless and less stressful on the client. I work very well with Stephanie and she is very prompt with following up when need be. The building has amazing views from every angel and the quality is top notch. The amenities are great (including a large gym and yoga studio). The pool is amazing as well! I worked with Laurie Wragg to find my studio apartment at Cityfront, and the process could not have been easier. All the apartments we saw were fabulous (we looked at studios and convertibles), and Laurie was extremely helpful, and honest (rare), throughout the process. The apartments and views are spectacular, and the amenities seem like the best bang for your buck in Streeterville, where I toured 5 other price-comparable buildings. The location is great, it seems a bit quieter and homier than other Streeterville spots, and the bar next door offers a sweet discount to residents. Overall fabulous!! read more

This place is a hidden gem for parking. I have used the garage a number of times as it is reasonably priced and in a good location. It is just a short walk over to the AMC movie theater and Lucky Strike Lanes. Michigan Ave is also not far away making it easy to get errands done. When friends and family come into town they usually end up staying in the area which makes it a convenient place for me to park when meeting up. I am able to spend a few hours with them and not worry about plugging meters. I believe it is something like $10 for in by 9 out by 5. Much cheaper than letting your meter expire. read more

I stayed at the City Front place apartments staying for a short sublease, to see if I like the environment. And all I can say is AMAZING!! I was so at home and assisted every step of the way. One concierge, her name is Precious. Was just so sweet especially with all this COVID going on she helped me learn the building, and even told me about bars downtown (new to the cit). The maintenance guy, I think his name was J.C. even helped me when I couldn't figure out the thermostat . He was so patient and cool. If your looking for a place to stay, look no further! I have lived here for 10 years going on 11 now. I have truly enjoyed living at Cityfront Place where I have made some Great life long friends. The staff is fantastic and are more than accommodating to ones needs and help when necessary. The Concierges James and Beverly are the Best I have ever scene anywhere. I absolutely LOVE this place. The apartment is perfect and I'm so glad we now have in unit washer/dryer. Big win! The views of the city and the river are amazing and we love having the river walk close by in the summer time. We're close to Target (yes!), Whole Foods, beaches... you name it!
