Our server was good and gave good suggestions especially about the dessert. I had a Moscow mule which was solid. We shared the spare ribs, pizza, mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and flavorful. The pizza was also very good; thin and crispy. The mac and cheese was my personal favorite and a dish I would love to have again and again. I consider myself a sort of a bar aficionado, a bar expert if you will. I've frequented big bars, holes in the wall, high end bars, wine bars, sports bars, rooftop bars, clubs, Speakeasies, karaoke bars, brew houses, tiki bars, cigar bars, pubs, beer gardens, taverns, cocktail bars, hotel bars, and live music bars, just to name a few. However, I have never in all of my 24 legal drinking years, have ever been to a bar where you are NOT allowed to stand near, alongside, abutting, close to, adjacent to, or in the vicinity of the bar and ORDER A DRINK...until I arrived at The Parched Pig. A BAR WHERE YOU CANNOT APPROACH THE BAR AND ORDER A DRINK! We came as a party of four with dinner reservations, got there an hour early so we could enjoy a couple of drinks before dinner. We arrived at the hostess station, where we were met with a very rude young lady, who mumbled something under her breath. We then walked to the outside area, and I went in the side entrance towards the bar. It was as if I entered top secret Area 51 in Nevada. This hostess, made a beeline towards me, accosted me mid-step to command me/banish me outside saying we are not allowed to order a drink at the bar. I asked her incredulously "we are not allowed to order a drink at the bar?" She said 'no, go wait outside and a cocktail waitress can take your order', motioning us out. The four of us looked at each other, could not believe what we heard, and immediately left. We enjoyed spending several hundred dollars on dinner & drinks at the outdoor bar & restaurant at ELA next door. I asked the bartender at ELA, 'Are we allowed to stand by the bar and order a drink here?' She giggled, knowing exactly what I was talking about, and was very welcoming and warm. The way it should be. Save your time, save your money, and try a less pretentious place to drop some coin. read more

Have eastern here a few time over the years. Went the first time when I saw on tv. It's never lived up to its ambitions. The owner/chef is pretty talented but what they aspire to be is not what they are. Menu is limited and skews towards some lesser quality items, beef is hangar or hamburger, fish is swordfish , chicken is fried. Bar is limited , they "don't do cocktails". Managed to get a martini but they had odd vodka choices . Everything comes with a story and a warning ie you can only stay 2 hours, this is why we don't have specials, we do mixed drinks etc.. food is decent and we liked our choices, service was friendly. Value was fair. It's in a strip mall and a little cramped but we weren't uncomfortable. I know they had a resteraunt close on them during covid so they may be running this conservatively. It would be great to see them take some chances on the menu or go all out on some high quality proteins. You won't be unhappy eating there read more

This is a nice place, BUT the exterior employees are too young and too inexperienced to recognize the appropriate mode of conduct for their customers. They talk amongst themselves before making contact with customers waiting to address them. Then when "challenged" with a simple question they receive it as a hostile question. We came here for happy hour and sat at the bar. We ordered a smoked old fashioned and a Civil Society Fresh IPA for cocktails. Then we ordered the Jenny's Dirty Dip and meatloaf sliders. The dip was hot and delicious, the sliders were yummy. Mitchell was our bar tender and took our order. He is an amazing mixologist. Watching Mitchell work is like watching a magician behind the bar. He makes the most amazing cocktails. It's so interesting to watch him. We decided against dessert but chose to have a Espresso Martini to share. So delicious! We are so happy. Plus they are Alice in wonderland inspired which is cool but I feel like they tried to hard on their cocktails. Although, I feel like if you come here get their wine because the wine list is extensive for sure. If you are into espresso martinis then look no further, because they have one of the best espresso martinis you'll ever have here. Both meat and fish dips that they offer are really good, I would totally recommend as an appetizer. The crowd here is much older, people in their 40s and 50s, therefore know your environment. A good place for date night I would say or to have drink with someone. It's very pricey so depending on what you get it adds up relatively quickly. The service and food were amazing as always. Nicole was our server this time and she was great with our party of 6, very attentive. We were celebrating my MIL's birthday. For appetizers, we had the Mac & Cheese, Shrimp Beignets, Wahoo Ceviche, and the Cauliflower Au Gratin. All great choices to share. For entrees, we had the Wagyu Sirloin and the Pineapple Jerk Meatballs, which were outstanding. Of course, we had to have dessert so we shared the Rum & Coconut Ice Cream Affogato (if you love espresso this is a must have), the carrot cake (excellent), and the amazing banana pudding (you can't go wrong with it). Since it's all about the food I'll start there.. My husband and I both got salads, he ordered a regular salad, I ordered the beet salad, mine was delicious, his not so good. I saw they had a wood pizza oven so I ordered a pizza (no choice for toppings), you get what they had on the menu. It was awful, the crust had to have been frozen and not freshly made and it had so little sauce. Basically uneatable. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that had mostly uncooked chicken in the middle , needless to say, he left 3/4 of it and he was hoping he wouldn't get sick. On the other hand the ambiance was fantastic and the service top notch. There definitely wasn't enough things on the menu that looked worth giving this place another try. We are new to the area and are always looking for places to have a nice meal and a couple drinks. We arrived at the Parched Pig last Friday and were greeted by 2 friendly seaters. We asked if there was room at the bar and they said yes. We sat down and noticed there was a mix of business people, singles, and couples. A great mix. Our bartender greeted us warmly, gave us the menus and took our drink order. We usually order beer, but the craft cocktail menu was amazing, so we enjoyed a couple delicious drinks. The bartender, who clearly takes pride in his restaurant, told us all about the menu, the cooking process, and the food in general. My husband ordered a smash burger and I got the chicken meatballs with risotto. Both were excellent. The happy hour menu gives you a lot of great options to try.
