WARNING. My car needed a new headlight bulb. Their first estimate was $57.00 for parts and labor. I thought this was a little high, but I OK'd it and was waiting for it to be done when the technician came to me in the waiting room. He told me that in order to get access to the bulb, the entire front bumper must be removed! This involved 2.5 hours of labor, and the estimate was now $220.00. Two days later, I took my car to my regular mechanic, who replaced the bulb at a total cost of $29.63. I have to assume this business is either incompetent or dishonest. read more

A friend recommended i come here. I've been 3 times now for my annual inspection and they are always very accommodating. The service is always top notch and they are always great at explaining what is going on with my car. I typically drop my car off when they first open (no appointment needed for inspections) and it's done and ready for pickup within a few hours. I have been coming back since. I needed my wiper blades replaced after an unfortunate car wash incident. It can be intimidating walking into an auto repair shop for a woman. This place is non intimidating, friendly, helpful, I wasn't overcharged, and my wipers were replaced in 5 minutes. Awesome. read more

Had taken my car to another shop for a repair and the price seemed steep. I called CK Auto and they were incredibly helpful, explaining the repair issue over the phone. The repair was done very quickly and again, with good communication about the problem, the solution, and when it would be done. I've been going to Danny for tint and stereo work for my past three vehicle and will be doing so for my current vehicle shortly. I've been going and will continue to go to CK because the team there always stands behind their work and are keen on ensuring I am 100% satisfied with everything. The guys at CK are extremely proficient and technically adept. To give you an order of magnitude for comparison, I was quoted at least 5 hours for an iPod integration (using OEM parts) for my wife's LR3 by a LR mechanic. The team at CK was able to complete the job in less than 1.5hr and I couldn't be happier with the outstanding job they performed. They worked on my car, addressed other issues, and kept me in the loop the entire time with regards to pricing, which was very fair. I have to agree with all the things that have already been said about this place. These guys know what they are doing and prices are cheaper then the competition in the area. They explain everything and very friendly. When I told my father how much it cost me to get my timing belt changed he couldn't believe how much I paid. It was way less compared to dealer prices. I'm surprised there are only two reviews of CK on Yelp to this point, but I'm not surprised the other two reviews are 5 stars. I've been to CK a few times over the last two years since moving to Philly and have always received great service. Most recently, I had extensive repairs done to my Nissan and CK was very helpful in being honest about what repairs were needed and doing the repairs quickly and at a very reasonable price. I got my headlight replaced here last month and the price was very reasonable. I love the fact that this place was honest and not try to sell me the most expensive headlight. The other day my service light in the car came on that I need to replace the differential fluid and I called several places Including my dealership along with jiffy lube yet this place still got the best deal. So I am going this weekend to get the service done since they had to order the differential fluid and I can't make it till the weekend. read more

I know my car is in good hands whenever I take it to CK auto. Very solid and reliable auto shop. My first experience with them had to deal a nagging check engine light which would not shut off. I had another mechanic take a look at it and they could not figure it out. After resetting the light, it would come back on several days later. Finally, I took it to CK auto and learned it was due to some faulty wiring. Some device has burned out. Expecting the repair to cost an arm and a leg, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the repair was about $100 bucks. My husband has had his car serviced there as well and the experience is also positive. I also appreciate that if they don't know how to fix something, they're honest about that too and will refer you back to the dealership. read more

My first time there and only got an oil change, but the price was good and explanation of options excellent. 4 instead of 5 because I had to wait about an hour, but I just dropped in without an appointment and didn't mind so much since they have a very nice waiting room. I have been to Ck auto a few times over the years. Spring 2002, I had an Alpine head unit installed. Fine job. This was when their store was across the street from the current location. In 2008, I went to CK to get my Pioneer head unit installed in my S2K. Again. Excellent job and pretty quick also. So it's been many moons since I've been in but perhaps I will when I need a car stereo or performance part. read more

Great local business, I went in to support small business rather than big businesses. I got my oil change there because it was convenient and they were very fast. They certainly practice the model of under promise and over deliver. There were a bunch of cars and Katie said about 1 hour and 45 min wait but it was done actually in 30 min. I went in a while back for a routine oil change, as a walk in. Staff was super friendly and the waiting area was really nice, with comfy chairs and free soft drinks. I don't think I ended up waiting longer than half an hour, and they even put my football game on the tv for me as I waited! I was quoted the price before all services and they let me know that it wasn't quite time for a tire rotation, but they could do it if I wanted. I appreciated them letting me know and said I'd save it for next time. Would definitely go back here! read more

Went in for a tire swap. Total cost was $108, and I left a happy customer. Communication is spectacular and they let me put on the March Madness games while waiting. In total it took 3 hours to get through queue and the job done. Not bad for walking in late afternoon when they're busiest. There are several places to eat including a Vietnamese sandwich shoppe and breakfast diner that are really good. Ask them for recommendations on food and explore the area - lots to see. read more

I own a problematic BMW that theyre always happy to trouble shoot for me and give me service on it in a timely and professional manner, explaining, updating me through the process. Waiting room is clean and well stocked (buy my engine oil there whenever my car needs a quart a few times a year). I just moved to the area and needed to get my car inspected, so I wandered down the street to find CK was the closest spot. After I dropped my car off, I got a call from the mechanic telling me that the reverse lights were out. I went over and he thoroughly explained what all of the options were, and how much it could potentially cost. After he went in an did the diagnostics, he found that it was just a fuse and didn't charge me a penny for the exchange. I received text message updates about the progress of my car, which was incredibly convenient during the work day. Everyone was honest, friendly, and professional. I came here after Service King did a botched job on my car and as a result, my back window's switch wasn't working and the window was stuck opened. Someone here was able to at least manually close my window and they helped me ordered a new part. Customer Service was great, very communicative, unlike Service King. And waiting time wasn't bad. I was very impressed by CK Auto. I got a flat tire at 4:45pm on a Thursday and they let me come straight over. They found a problem with another tire that could have resulted in blowing out so they went out of their way to fix both. I had a new tire and my other tire was plugged by 6pm. Great service. I had called many companies inquiring about remote start for a manual, and other shops either charged too much to install on a manual, didn't provide the safety mechanism needed to prevent starting the car in gear, or they just flat out wouldn't install. When I called, the rep was very courteous, explained the process of installing remote start and provided a reasonable price. After it was installed they told me the cost would be $100 less because of the type of key I possessed. I was very grateful for their honesty, professionalism, and great customer service. read more
