The time had come, my 98 Camry was leaking oil and I was putting bandaids on things that needed to be fixed. I was not sure where to take my car. Driving towards the freeway, I passed CK Auto Repair. Not going to lie, being a woman and bringing your car into a place with grease and gunk, I've heard horror stories, "They are going to take advantage of you and treat you like you have no idea what is going on with your car." This was not my first rodeo. Well, I bit the bullet. I thought I would be spending $3,000+. Danny and the two gentlemen went straight to work on it. They even showed me some of the process. I got a call a day letting me know where they were on my car. They replaced my power steering pump, valve cover gaskets, oil pan, rack and pinion gears, had the alignment done. You name it, they do it and MORE. I need new seatbelts, I'm going back. Don't be scared, I'll be back. You will be amazed at the excellent service that they offer. I am so glad I looked around. We broke down on the freeway and after a 2 hour wait for a tow truck we luckily found this fathers and son shop. They gracefully stayed late on Friday night to put us back on our Tahoe vacation. **BE WARY OF THIS REPAIR SHOP!** **THEY ACTUALLY DESERVE -3's** They're fully lacking in customer service, they don't honor waranties, they piece-meal &/or patchwork repairs (we hv paperwork describing in detail, bad or wrong parts used by CK, by 2 diff certified repair shops). They don't give written estimates, or rarely give you any type of completed finished paperwork, always saying things like "oh I know who you are, just bring it back..." but when you do, the son is EXTREMELY rude & confrontational, basically refusing to perform any type of followup repair. At first, when we took our truck here for repairs, things seemed fine. Then problems popped up & pattern started coming up of poor service across the spectrum. It wasn't until we took it to other mechanics, who pointed out what was actually occurring, that we learned of CK's continued inadequate business practices. Of course, to a layman, there'd be no way to know this stuff. But when another professional points out multi-mistakes, that's a pattern of deception! Anyone CURRENTLY/RECENTLY getting repairs/work done would be wise to get it reviewd by trusted independent mechanic. Anyone THINKING of going here, would be well served to look elsewhere. We had to report CK to the Bureau of Automotive Repair, who agreed they were in violation of basic automotive repair standards and warranty practices, & urged us to pursue things in Sm. Claims Court. After seeing multi-mistakes on Yelp!, we thought it important to let people know to use good judgement if/when dealing with this place. read more

This shop is AWESOME! If you want an honest fair deal with no BS, this is the place to go. They give you a quote, if it needs more than they thought, they call you, they don't overcharge or upsell or tell you that you need a lot of repairs that you don't. They are fair and respectful of women and don't gouge them just because they ARE women. I recommend Danny and Jesse to all of my friends and family. I have taken two control arms to have bushing installed. I was told i will have them buy the end of the day. After going back day after day, to pick them up i got the same story, come back in an hour. At first I thought nothing of it until i returned for service to have the ball joints installed. Again i received the same story the Friday I dropped them off. I told the owner I can pick them up tomorrow, he said noon is fine. I showed up Saturday at 11:45 and nothing. He told me return at 4:30 that evening. I showed up at 11:15 and he was closed. So this morning i returned on Monday, parts not installed yet. I loaded them in my truck and took them to another shop. I noticed it is my race which he treated me as a 2nd class citizen. Find a better customer service shop in my opinion. William read more

do not go to ck. danny is not a mechanic he is a crook. after messing around for 2 months waiting for a valve job to be completed they drove my car over 1000 miles, delivering transmissions. i got no oil pressure when car was returned. they left parts off, including manifold bolts. they didn't know how many valves my car had no business working on a volvo. submitted 3 different work orders, charged me for their mess up.. listed bmw parts not volvo, added items to my work order that had nothing to do with the repair they were supposed to do. they added 1400.00 to my original work order with no authorization. i ended up putting 7000.00 to fix their ignorance. couldn't time the car.. why? because they didn't use the correct tool to remove the cams and gears. hello!!!! i have proof of everything.. i have proof of what should have happened. i have a certified volvo mechanic to verify that they are crooks. they double dipped the labor.. after listing the machine shop price in one sum.. wouldn't submit the teardown estimate... only a copy of the workorder with a bunch of things added on. and to top it off.. the control arm they put on... the two bolts came out of where the wheel is connected and guess what happend? the wheel turned out and completely made its way under my car.. ruined it. not to mention my daughter was driving on the freeway at 65 mpg when it happened. this is not okay read more
