I was charged $465.00 for a tow which wasn't even a tow, but just a wench from the truck to get my trailer and pickup out of the mud on the side of the road. I was pretty shocked when I got the bill since the entire operation took about 45 minutes and all while telling me what a great deal I was getting! I have used tow companies in the past and usually paid around $100 sometimes a little less based the hookup fee and a per mileage cost for the tow. I feel that $465.00 to pull me out of the mud is excessive and that's why I am giving the poor reveiw. read more

The only thing that makes having an accident worse, is when you can't count on the towing company you already talked to. Went from yea we will send a guy out, to oh it's gonna be an hour and half till he gets there. Add the fact the guy who answered the phone couldn't even understand anything made it super fun. Such a crappy company, left me stranded on the side of 217 for hours. Then when they did finally tow it, they towed it to their yard and not my mechanic. The young girl on the phone was absolutely rude and obviously had no idea what customer service is . Don't do business here read more

I've used Clackamas Towing several times over the years. Never had a bad experience. Recently needed my Tahoe towed. Mark was very helpful and got my vehicle back home quickly. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

Do not use this guy. Angel is a chriminal who stole stuff from my car after towing it off private property and then he hid my car for 16 days would not give me a address or price and kept hanging up on me I had to trick him by calling from others phone numbers and then had it crammed in behind a tow truck with battery out and a lock on starting wheel and he charged me 1300 and said he would take off $100,00 if I signed something that i wouldn't take him to court and I said he'll No. If anyone wants to take him to court I'll testify and maybe we should all take him to court together. If you have the option NEVER EVER get your car towed/stored but these thieves!! Wish there was a negative star option. I was in a horrible crash on the freeway. My car was rear ended totaled. Myself and my passengers were rushed to the hospital after being cut out of the car. These people were called to take our car. They stole our stereo, all of our change, my sons pack of magic cards, and a case of gum. What they should have done was say "I'm so sorry that this happened to you." That would have been a good start but instead they had the nerve to say "well I guess you should have taken all your stuff out of the car". Seriously?!! Yes as I'm being cut out of my car and pulled out on a body board I'm going to magically get up and disconnect my stereo and collect every last valuable and pack of friggin gum. What a scumbag! Oregon law may state that you can not be held responsible, thanks for pointing that out on the phone by the way, seems this isn't your first rodeo, with you and your staff stealing from people. I may not be able to get my things back, but you and the people who stole from me will have to live with the knowledge that you stole from people who were severely injured and could not fend for themselves. That you are such horrible people you stole a 2 dollar pack of magic cards from a child injured in a car crash. Your company literally embodies the worst of humanity. Would not recommend. My recent experience with Clackamas Towing was very poor. The car involved was towed from an accident by Oregon State Police towing rotation. The driver was transported to the hospital. The next day I contacted Clackamas Towing and spoke with Mark. He refused to allow the owner of the car to remove any personal items from the car until he was guaranteed payment of his tow bill. Prior to speaking with Mark I had obtained the claim number for the fully covered car from the insurance company. Mark advised me that even with the claim number for the accident, he would not release anything from the car until he received confirmation from the insurance company of payment or I paid for the tow in full. Mark was rude and unprofessional while I spoke with him on the phone. I called Oregon State Police towing coordinator and spoke with them. They advised that a towing company CANNOT deny access to emergency personal property such as medications, identification, wallet, purse, checkbook, keys, child safety seat, etc. The insurance company did speak with Mark and he did finally allow access to the contents of the car and was just as rude as he was previously on the phone. If I ever have the need for a tow, I will not be contacting Clackamas Towing and I will request that if I am in an accident to have someone next in rotation if Clackamas Towing is the company that would be contacted to tow my car. read more
