We were in Laughlin 5 days before we made it here to eat. It was the absolute best meal we had. My husband had the prime rib and shrimp and I had the blackened chicken and spinach pasta. Both were excellent and even though we both got the early bids specials, the portions were more than adequate. Just sorry I had no room for dessert as they looked awesome. We came in after seeing Weird Al. Since it was after 10:00 pm, they had their "late night" menu out, which is an abbreviated version of their regular menu. I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars, the host was excellent... seating was fast...i ordered the Cesar salad, it was a little salty & really wet... we ordered the Mozerella sticks & they were AMAZING!! The proportions were huge...they were sooo delicious & cheesy paired with a homemade marinara sauce.. we also ordered the loaded potatoe skins & they were great...very cheesy & fullfilling..the steak & chicken plate was good...not great...the chicken had a off tasting sauce on it that was not described on the menu & the steak was good..it was paired with grilled veggies..we ordered dessert & we received plates & silverware... but had to wait over 20 min for a slice of cake... although when the cake finally made it...it was well worth tell wait... great atmosphere...would def. recommend...... read more

I have been to a few Claim Jumpers locations and have had fair experiences. This particular location is located in the Golden Nugget and seems to get steady business, being that there are limited options to choose from in house. We went for a small dinner visit and breakfast. Dinner service was slow but we dealt with it. Upon asking for more bread we were told that there was a one order per table rule(so charge me if it's really an issue). Drinks were not refilled timely. Breakfast...server was nice when she approached us to get our order. After that, we did not see her for at least 30 minutes. We saw 12+ plates of food sitting under warming lamps for a 10 minute period of time. This included our food, which upon delivery was warm, but not entirely fresh. The service was really hard to understand. It was 9-10am on a Tuesday, maybe 2/3 full. There were 4 employees greeting guests promptly. Aside from the greeters the staff seemed almost as of they were avoiding guests. I do not recommend this location breakfast, lunch or dinner. read more

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for location and ambiance, but as we only stopped there to try their Caramel Mud Pie dessert, it is hard to know on a first visit what to say about the restaurant overall. The Mud Pie was different, and huge. It was tasty and good to try once, but I don't think I would ever order that again I am really glad my friend and I decided to just get one and split it and I must compliment Susean, our server, on her gracious handling of our request to share. On the other hand, by Laughlin standards this restaurant is very expensive, since it is possible to go a short distance in any direction and get a whole all you can eat meal for less than what we paid for one dessert and a couple of beverages here. I've been going to Claim Jumper for over 20 years, since they started in Los Alamitos California. Tonight was by far my worst experience; bad service and a soggy salad. I know I could have gotten a comp, but it took so long to get a box and the check, I was done....maybe done with Claim Jumper too. Follow-up: Claim Jumper still cares. They reached out to me via Yelp and my phone after I gave them my number. They apologized profusely and did everything and more than anyone could expect. I'll be definitely going back. Things must be changing. We ordered the onion rings and full rack of BBQ ribs. Everything looked great. The ribs were really tough to cut, dumped a bunch of fries off the plate in the process. The manager was kind enough to come by and explain that all the ribs in the back were the same and said thanks for bring it to his attention. He said he'd get us anything we wanted (be sure to agree to what that means). We thought he was going comp us one dish, which was not the case. But the manager, Donny, did his best to make it right. The portions are big. The taste of the ribs was good but they were dried out. Fries and onion rings are good. The fish and chips was ok. Just be sure your sever and manager understand what you are ordering and that plates arrive at the same time for all guests or you could be eating 30 minutes before your companions. read more

They must've had their B team working, because they didn't get our order right. Brought out toast with no butter and didn't bring butter to the table. Always a good meal when we eat here! Cocktails are well made and strong, food is great and service is usually good. My only dislike is I don't like the chicken they use for pretty much any app or meal. It's just thinly sliced and almost tastes like lunch meat. I am just not a fan. After quite a wait( it's a Saturday night, so, ok) my food comes out with soggy, room temp fries and shrimp so overly battered, and the batter being raw I couldn't eat it. Nonetheless it was satisfying. The meatloaf had good flavor, not salty & cooked well. The mashed potatoes had tiny bits of potato which I liked. Mashed potatoes with peals could have lived without those peals, thankfully it meant I didn't eat most of them. Margaritas were terrible mix. Ate at the Claim Jumper for the first time. It's now my second favorite restaurant in Laughlin. Went for dinner and I had the grilled salmon which was excellent and tasted really really fresh. My boyfriend had the tri tip with shrimp and really liked it. We liked the food so much we came back for lunch the next day. I had the tri tip sandwich which was great also. We were expecting really good food but were sorely disappointed. I understand the limited menu and social distancing but what happened to good tasting food? The french fries were skinny little things and terribly greasy. The burger was dry and tasted overcooked. The tri tip dip was not good either because the meat was full of gristle making it chewy and hard to eat. Seriously I got 5 onion rings two of which were almost burned. When I complained the waiter told me he wished he could do something but since we had eaten some of the meal he couldn't even offer a discount. We were hungry so ate what we could but it was a less than enjoyable experience. If the waiter had come by while we were eating I would have complained then but he disappeared. The worst CJ I have ever been to. My husband ordered the tri tip sandwich, which came to him on a French roll where it had probably 2 Tbsp of meat on it all gathered in the center. So the 6 inch sandwich had 5 inches of no meat. The fries on both our plates were brought out cold. At our request they took my husband's plate back and 10 minutes later brought it out hot and as it should've been. My fries, however were never replaced despite mentioning that both fries were cold.
