Claim Jumper is located close to hotel rooms off the casino floor in a corner. Ordered BBQ chicken salad. Very flavorful and large portion. French onion soup was good. Husband says his steak and shrimp was good. I had their $6.00 bloody mary special and it was made perfect and delicious. We walked in at 11am and saw they served breakfast that looked really good. They open early for breakfast. Our server Suesan was friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere especially if you are seated by the foliage. read more

Had dinner at the Laughlin Claim Jumper - meh, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either. Service was good. She was busy and found it hard to even make eye contact. Food service was quick and plentiful. Couldn't eat even half of what we ordered. I guess that's why the waitress didn't ask us if we wanted dessert. Just plopped the bill down and took our plates. When I think of claim Jumper I think of big portions. I didn't know they serve breakfast but they do at the Golden Nugget Hotel. At 9 a.m. the place was full. I was seated right away, looked around and several people hadn't been waited on yet. So I decided to get my order to go. The cashier was sweet and my order came in a timely manner. I ordered the breakfast croissant with hash browns and added avocado. There were only a few hashbrowns and the avocado was on the green side. The sandwich was big and full of eggs ham and cheese. The croissant was toasted perfectly. I gave it only 4 stars because my to go order was in a plastic container and plastic bag. read more

THANK YOU, NICOLE! Knowing the huge portions, my wife and I did something we have never done before (I generally eat enough for 3 people) and asked if we could split a plate. Our waitress, Nicole, said that it would be no bother at all. The times I've seen people do this, the meal comes out as usual along with a second plate, and sometimes there's a charge for this empty plate. I was the ONLY black person in the restaurant... I didn't have a problem with it at all. My problem was that after being seated the time I had to wait to get served! I noticed everyone around me were being served. NOT ONE waitress stopped at our table!!! So the lady that seated me brought me napkins. When one of the kitchen servers (Who I later found out was the manager Maggie) saw no one took our order she came out of the kitchen to take our order!!! I AM IN COMPLETE SHOCK!! For my money, Claim Jumper would be just another chain restaurant ... if not for that wedge of chocolate cake they sell. In my younger days, I could eat an entire entrée and then a wedge of that cake all by myself. Now it takes me three days to finish a wedge even with my wife helping me. I try to limit my consumption, but I still get it more often than I should. It's not my fault, though. You'll see when you try it. read more

Bread was great. Food took so long the server offered us soup or salad for free for waiting patiently. Pretty bad. The once great Claim Jumper is nothing like it used to be. They know it too. They simply do not care. Never recovered from the bankruptcy and breakup. Friendly staff. Potatoes were cold and soggy and the food lacked flavor. We mentioned it and the server shrugged his shoulders and handed us the bill. Everything bland. Nothing scratch nor fresh cooked. Institutional pre-frozen-then-warmed fare. Disappointing. We won't be back and they don't care. No bar at this location. If this review was solely based on the food it would be zero stars. But because our waitress Amanda was sweet they get 2 stars. Ordered a small Ceasar salad as an appetizer, salad looked limp and had 2 croutons. My entree was the Blackened Ck Alfredo it was ok, probably one of the worst. But still not bad enough to prompt me to give a review. My husband ordered steak and shrimp. Shrimp was ok, steak was absolutely horrible. It tasted as if the meat was rotten. I ate here on April 15, 2021. Our attendant was a lady that owns property in Lake Havasu. I ordered scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, hash browns and pancakes. I brought my own coffee because I like Taster's Choice decaffeinated. The meal was was good but not excellent. When a party eats at my restaurant back home and ask for crisp bacon I will see that the bacon is very crisp it will not look like his neighbor's bacon they didn't ask for crisp. The wait staff that got $15 the night before didn't get the same at breakfast but they could have got more than $4 with crisp bacon. A little attention to detail. I wouldn't leave here for breakfast elsewhere because the women in my party were satisfied to stay. read more

I was staying at the Golden Nugget Laughlin and came to this place for breakfast. I am giving it a 3 star because the service was so outstanding, but the food was only just ok. We had an amazing waitress and the food came out very fast. We were seated right away and the waitress was just all around very very good. CLAIM JUMPER IS TRYING TO KILL PEOPLE!!!!! Fiirst things first, my girlfriend has very serious food allergies and we are very picky when we order food. We dont always know if she can eat certain dishes so we order sauces on the side if we aren't sure. We always inform the staff of food allergies so we aren't met with attitude if something isn't right. 10/10/18 Our friends had a pizza and tri-tip sandwich. The pizza was great as well as the sandwich. The au jus they served was super salty. It obviously sat on a burner or in a steam table for hours and the water evaporated, causing the sodium to be over-concentrated. We got mozzarella sticks (food we know she can eat) and split the country fried steak (her favorite from black bear diner ). We asked for gravy on the side but it came with gravy on top. She ended up not being able to eat the gravy so already we were down half of the $15 meal. The country fried steak was tough. I lifted the breading off and it looked like ground beef. It was so tough to chew, I ended up leaving the dinner. I hoped that the next day's meals would be better. 10/11/18 For lunch we ordered artichoke dip and split a ceasar tri-tip salad (dry with dressing on the side). Salad came tossed with dressing and we sent it back. The staff was very accommodating and apologized for the mixup. The second round salad was great but the croutons were so salty I had to drink water with them......croutons should have very minimal seasoning. The artichoke dip had only one flaw. It had tomatoes on top and the menu did not list tomatoes.........she is allergic to tomatoes. We scooped off the top layer (anything tomatoes touched) and she was able to eat the dip. it was really, really good. 10/11/18 PM I had a pasta that was amazing. My friends had soup/salad combo and it was awesome. We ordered the artichoke dip for my girlfriend with no tomatoes. Everything was going well until she started to feel funny. She dug around in the dip and found five little minced pieces of tomato. She immediately ran back to the hotel room to throw up and get anything out of her stomach. After she left, I called the server over. I told him about the tomato and he insisted that there is no tomato in the dip. He said that what we found was dried red pepper flakes. I showed him 5 pieces, with a vibrant red skin and pink flesh that can be squeezed with your fingers. He took it back to the kitchen.....and came back saying it was red pepper flakes.......but the biggest piece was gone (weird). The servers manager came over (Dustin? not sure) and proceeded to say the same thing........these pieces are red pepper flake. I turned over another piece and showed him the pink flesh underside. I asked him if dried red pepper flake can be reconstituted like this........he said "well, yeah, it's cooked in a sauce." My friend asked if he was sure there was no tomato and this guy said "I personally watched the dish being made........I personally watch all allergy dishes being made." Um.......Yeah....... ok........Then I drop the bomb on him that he wasnt expecting. I was a cook for 10 years, a sous chef for 2 years and a kitchen manager for 5 years....Boom......sorry bud, I actually know what I'm talking about. In the restaurants and hotels I have worked in, there has never been a front of house manager that personally watches food allergy dishes being prepared. "Front of house" means "get the hell out of the kitchen" to the cooks. Dried red pepper flakes have a deeper darker red color. They do not suddenly go back to the vibrant red color when they are cooked in a sauce. The red pepper flakes are just that........flakes. They cannot re-develop a crisp flesh that is able to be squeezed between my fingers. I told the manager that this wasnt about money. He stood by his kitchen staff and said all he could do was call security to do a welfare check on my girlfriend to make sure she was ok (we should have taken him up on that). He ended up taking the dip off the bill.......and we left the dip on the table. I went back to the hotel room to find my girlfriend sitting in the shower with a used EPI-PEN next to her. Her cheeks were swollen but I think she caught it in time. I couldn't care less about the bill for dinner. I only care about my girlfriend. I am currently in the hospital waiting room awaiting word from the doctors. read more

First off if you've been to a Claim Jumper before then this one may disappoint you. If you've never been to one and choose this one don't let it fool you that the rest are like this. Bit even close to being the same food or atmosphere! Being located inside the casino it has a different menu than the rest. It's limited and the portions not the same. In fact only a few of the items are same but even those are much smaller portions than the usual CJ way. Not even the salad dressing was the same! . It should be called CJ coffee shop! Basically what it is being in the casino and seeing how they serve breakfast too. We were seated immediately and instantly our waitress, young, slightly annoying, and hyper jump on our drinks and ask if we knew what we wanted. We asked for a few minutes. Realizing something was wrong after seeing the dinner menu was 1/2 a page I asked her to give us a few more then asked if they have another menu. She then explained they are not like the others. No rotisserie chicken here! No beef ribs, no Ahi Tuna appetizer! Few burgers, few sandwiches, few salads, couple of pasta choices, and a few other choices such as fish, pot pie, or meatloaf is basically the whole dinner menu. Steak wise you have a choice of sirloin 9oz and 12oz, or porterhouse 12 oz, or "chopped steak" chopped steak is not steak! It's ground beef also known as Salisbury steak. What we ordered. Appetizers: calamari and the cheesy potato cakes. The calamari was like rubber and the barter soggy with grease. The cheesy potato cakes ok but the dill dipping sauce was not a good marriage. Too much dill. Entrees: my son order the shrimp and fish platter. My wife, chicken fried steak, and I ordered the "Widow maker" burger. The burger a nice fresh bun with decent portion of meat topped with smoked bacon, battered onion rings, avocado, cheddar, fresh greens, tomato, mayo and red relish. The bun was great as well as the beef patty perfectly cooked and the rest of the toppings fresh! The shoestring fries served with it were fresh and crispy as well as seasoned perfectly. One of the better burgers I've had at a restaurant. The Shrimp and Fish platter: fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, battered fish, and grilled fish served with shoestring fries as well. The grilled shrimp tasty and perfectly cooked. The grilled fish was Tilapia and grilled perfect. The fried shrimp slightly soggy as was the battered fish. My son made a comment anything fried there seems to be soggy. My wife commented that the deep fryer is not hot enough. She's more than likely correct since anything battered and fried there was really soggy. The chicken fried steak was done perfect and it was tasty. The mashed potatoes fresh tasting and seasoned nicely. We all prefer chicken fried steak at home when I cook it but theirs pretty good! Though the portions nothing like the other CJ restaurants we still went home very full. Our waitress turned out to be great and service prompt. I did observe the folks next to is order the spaghetti and meatballs and it was a big plate of nice looking meatballs and pasta. Another person in that party ordered the porterhouse and it looked decent but a little small. If your after steak then I would avoid this place and go to Salt Grass located in same casino or to Outback in the Aquarius a few casinos north, or to the prime rib room or the "gourmet room" both in the Riverside casino. For dessert we took it to go. We had a slice of the famous chocolate mother load and a slice of their carrot cake. Both as big as the regular free standing CJ restaurants but just not quit as fresh. 3 meals, 1 side dinner salad, 2 appetizers, 2 desserts, 3 beverages, and the bill was $110.00 Would we return? Yes, but not if we were craving Claim Jumper. It's just not the same food or experience as the ordinary free standing ones. We were disappointed but at same time had a nice time as a family out to eat and it could of been worse... Especially for around these parts! read more

The food was substandard. I ordered eggs Benedict. The ham was past its prime point so I sent it back. Got a turkey sausage patty instead. Horrible. My hubby got a traditional breakfast. I came down to visit family that lives in bullhead and two of them work at the claimjumper in Phoenix so I thought why not try it. One of the biggest disappointments. Not all Claim Jumpers are created equal. First of all, I am not a huge Claim Jumper fan as I avoid chains whenever possible. However, I can honestly say until I ate at Claim Jumper in the Golden Nugget Laughlin, I had never had a bad meal there. Claim Jumpers can usually be relied on for consistently tasty food and adequate service. Claim Jumper Golden Nugget does not fit the mold of the chain! I had to spend several weeks in Laughlin for work, and I learned after a few meals that the only way to dine there is to order it in advance and take it to go - otherwise you will be trapped there for a minimum of 2 hours. Not that it's busy - the service is just incredibly inefficient and sloooooooooooooow. So very slow. The food doesn't taste quite right either - I blame the cigarette smoke drifting from the open casino. I was fine with it once I started ordering my food for pick-up to go. It tasted better in my smoke free room and without having to wait forever to order, get food, pay the check, etc. So that's the trick - get it to go or else you'll end up with slow service and nicotine flavored food! read more

The waiter I think may have been high or at least was sneaking away for bong hits while we were dining cause he would just disappear for long periods at a time, nice guy just missing for most of the experience and a bit out of it when he was around. Wow...WTF did I just pay for?!! I don't think Claim Jumper is all that but this location was unbearable. No one at the table finished their plate. I have been to other CJ locations and really like some of their plates but this location couldn't get one right if Gordon Ramsey was screaming the recipe at the top of his lungs!!! We told the manager but she was thinking I was wasting my time for a free dessert or appetizer and not listening to the problem. As if I wanted more of this sh!t food. We went there the other night for dinner. The sever that we really liked was no longer there!! Our server this night was Ashley T. she was warm and friendly and most of all EFFICIENT! ! We ordered, and once again.. this is our 4th time here... the food is INCONSISTENT! Last time I had the chicken strips.. they were itty bitty pieces of chicken! When I told the manager about this.. that the first time I had them they were a decent size, this time they were scraps!! Was in town for a spartan race had to get a nice meal in, went in and as immediately greeted by some nice ladies at the front. Sat down and Kelly my waitress came by, she made the experience 5 stars.
