I was very uncomfortable walking in that store when this Asian auntie(she is probably the owner) kept staring at us and was pushing us to buy things, forcing us to take the basket. I mentioned to her we are looking and then she right away told us to go walk outside instead pretty much (get out of her way if you are not buying). How do I know what to buy if I don't look first? It's ridiculous. I have never seen this pushy and disrespectful act even at high end jewelers like Cartier or Tiffany. Let alone a Claire's! Never again. Life is full of firsts. Today was such a day for my daughter. After a couple of weeks of asking (then saying nevermind) followed by a "back-out" on Christmas Eve, she had her ears pierced. Bri was AMAZING! She had a "matter of fact" approach towards the actual piercing which made it easier for my daughter AND put me at ease over infection control practices. Additionally, she was warm and engaging while setting up and preparing. The best part of it all was the actual piercing. She was quick and deliberate. Customer service. Teach your SA to communicate with customers. They definitely know how to chat and gossip amongst each other while customers are waiting. And when confronted, teach them to stand down and not claim to be the mature one. Talking while off the clock and claiming to not work and disrupting your only sales associate interferes with your business. It's disruptive and unprofessional. Do better in your training. read more

I was just shopping around Serramonte Mall today and thought I should get my ears pierced, so I went to Claire's. I was immediately greeted by Bri. Very nice sale associate and she pierced my ears on the spot. Lots of selections for the basic stud that you have to wear for a month. She knew I was a little nervous and she was very pleasant to deal with and made me feel very comfortable. Awesome job because my ears don't even hurt. This store is extremely stocked full of everything accessory related. It's clean and fun to walk around and look for stuff you didn't even know you needed. If you want to get your ears pierced, this is a great place to start. Ask for Bri and she'll take care of you. read more

I only gave this place a star because they deserve one star for having a large selection and being somewhat organized. They lost out on 3 stars because of their customer service. I went there yesterday with my friend and her 10-year-old daughter about 3pm. The line was very long and somehow two lines had formed in this very small store. We got in the line and waited patiently directly in front of the cashier for about 15 minutes. While we were in line we noticed a separate line for me because the first one was going out the door. When it was it was our turn, the people who recently got in line moments before we were called after waiting about 15 minutes cut us! Even the cashier said they were here first and the customer argued with them and would not move and then the cashier proceeded to take the subsequent customer and that line instead of all the customers who were there first. We got upset and just left the store very bad customer service they need to have signs on the floor saying wait here. And also an actual manager they are on the weekends to handle the crowds. read more

I was hoping to get my ears pierced so I stopped by to ask if one needed an appointment or if walk ins were accepted. The sales person said they did walk ins, so I asked would now be a good time she said yes. Great, I filled out the paper work, looked at the earrings while the only sales person was ringing up customers. I'm usually a laid back and patient person but i found it ridiculous that I waited over 30 minutes. I know it's not the sales persons fault that customers kept on coming in and wanting to check out, but i was a potential customer as well. They should really implement a rule where after so many minutes they should continue to help out the customer waiting to get their ears pierced. I waited for over 30 minutes just watching people lining up to check out. It was a waste of my time because in the end they didn't even have the earrings that I wanted in stock. Which could have taken 5 minutes or less if I were to be continuously helped out. read more

I took my daughter in to have her ears pierced at Claire's today. We made an appointment but I think walk up would have been ok too. We got Bri and she was so friendly & professional in how she explained what she would be doing and in choosing the correct pair of earrings that suited my daughters ears. She marks out exactly where she will be putting the earrings & asks for approval which I thought was great. She used the piercing gun and it was a quick process in both ears. My girlfriend received the worst possible customer service here today. She tried returning some things she bought from another location here and she had the item and the receipt and they told her she couldn't return it because she didn't have all the items on the receipt. Since when did you need all the items you bought on a receipt to return just one item??? Any other store I can go back and return a single item on a receipt and it's no problem at all. The sales lady was just lazy or didn't know what she was doing because she refused to help my girlfriend. Then the sales lady changed her story and said that the place she bought it from made a mistake on the receipt or something and she needed to go back to that store. I mean where is the customer service here? It's not like she has a complicated job here. These aren't expensive items, she just wanted to return or even just exchange the items and they refused. She ended up leaving and going to the other location to return the items. Beware if you come here, the sales people are incompetent and don't know the meaning of customer service. read more

Clairs is a great place to buy very pretty, yet cheap earings. They always have sales, which are reasonable. The workers there are absolute friendly and welcoms every person that comes in and tells them about their sales. Although, i ranked this place as a 3 star, is because of the way they pierce people's ears. They use a gun, not that good because it can infect your ear. And also, the people that pierce it, are the people working at the cash register. I don't think they are that experienced. they don't even dot it. While I was checking on the earrings this sales lady approached asking me if i already did some shopping, yes. What store, i answered. What did i buy? Shirts. What kind? I answered again. Helloooo...lady, don't make me believe that you don't even know what they have there. That's a famous store for her not to know. Tricky lady, i'm not dumb not to know your intentions and why you're asking too much. it was my 1st tym going to this Claires stores, and the Lady that was working there Jomarie, was the nicest Lady ive ever met. i was only there to look around but because of her good customer service, i end up buying couple earings and got my ears pierced as well.. saw how careful and patient she was with the other customers that was getting their ear pirced (even to a baby) that i end up piercing my ears too... she was very gentle and will remind you about keeping it clean... will definitely go back and recommend her to my friends and family!!! read more
