This tiny little cafe has big personality and an interesting menu. The kind woman who served us was so helpful and smart while multi-tasking to accommodate a steady stream of customers. Something for everyone on the menu from American standards to an Israeli breakfast. And all kinds of bowls for lunch. We couldn't resist the guava croissant.

Super cozy spot for delicious breakfast and pastries! I had the guava croissant simply because I don't see that flavor often. Get it warmed up. I could've eaten five of these. The Western breakfast wrap, so with ham, peppers, cheese, was very well made and flavorful. It does not come with a side, though some of the photos on other apps show some type of arugula salad.

If you are anywhere near New York Presbyterian Hospital or Hospital for Special Surgery, this is a great place to pick up food. I picked up a breakfast sandwich and my husband, who was at HSS waiting to be discharged, gobbled up. There is a little table inside and several outdoors (may be too chilly).

This cafe is on the corner of E 73rd and York Ave. It's cute and cozy with some high tables, a couch, tables for two and a few. Theres a beautifully painted art wall which really brightens the space right up. I ordered the mushroom queash, which came with a side salad. The original dressing wasn't my favorite so I asked for something else. Chimichurri was one of the options and I went with that. Normally wouldn't eat a salad with chimichurri sauce but this one was really good for both items. I took that first bite of mushroom with the sauce and WOW that combo was delicious. Every bite after that had chimichurri sauce. The spot was quiet, good for working, networking and to just enjoy some coffee. Oh I heard their matcha is really good as well. Excited to go back again.

Great little israeli sandwich/salad spot on the UES. Just wish they were open sundays! Egg in a Pita ($10) - Love this! Such a healthy & satisfying way to start the day Sabih Salad ($14) - Smallish portion for the price, but fresh ingredients. Roast Beef Sandwich ($13) - Better than your average deli.

Yummy breakfast sandwiches Considering I live right by this spot, I was amazed that I never stopped by to check it out. We got the classic egg sandwhich and the bacon egg and cheese. Both were scrumptious. Eggs were fluffy and folded into neat little stacks. The classic came with tomato egg and spinach. The bacon egg and cheese came with a generous portion of bacon and filled with cheese and mayo. Both were served on a fresh brioche. Service was fast too, came out within 10 minutes. Overall, great spot for some kicked up breakfast

Claire's Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich with added chicken - very good

I ordered the mozzarella sandwich and added chicken and my husband got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. They were both very good. The only thing that was disappointing was that the mozzarella sandwich didn't actually come with fresh mozzarella. It was more like deli sliced mozzarella cheese.

There's a location on the Upper East Side with the same menu. 08/20/22

Claire's Kitchen Cafe was brought to my attention when I had coffee at the Harlem location. Today was a beautiful day to walk there for lunch. Claire's to me is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for ". As soon as the nice employee behind the counter told me the Boureka was spinach and feta I knew what I wanted. I admit when he said the price was $7.50 I was surprised. It was expensive to me. Then when he added tax it was more than my budget can handle on a regular basis. But, when I ate it, the taste was so so so fresh and delicious. The feta was dropping out of it. They heated it for me and I had a seat outside where there was more space. I also grabbed a couple of the samples for my desert. Wow, were they delicious. The chocolate muffin is tiny but it's gluten free. I didn't even want to know the price! I'm recommending because every bite was absolutely delicious! The employee and owner were very nice. I'm afraid it's not going to be a comfortable place to sit to eat in the Winter. Maybe if I get there very early and sit at the counter by the window? We will see.......

Most people are in and out. The coffee is rich and flavorful. The pastries are not bad either. Definitely a good neighborhood spot for those that aren't looking to spend their whole day in a coffee spot but instead are looking to grab and go.

Let me tell you why this coffee shop stands above the rest:…read more 1. They use quality beans. I'm a home barista and use Oslo's beans for my americanos. When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.

They did bring out complimentary bread, which was appreciated, though it felt like something that should be standard rather than a highlight. One item someone in our group wanted -- the octopus burger -- was unfortunately unavailable, which was disappointing, especially given that it was brunch and still relatively early in the day. That said, the dishes we did order were good and well prepared. The space itself is nice: the front functions as a cute coffee shop, while the back has tables for sit-down dining. Because of that setup, the vibe feels more casual, but the menu offers solid options. Overall, it was a good experience, just not a great one -- a decent brunch spot, but nothing that blew us away.
