Absolutely superb! If you're on the fence, jump! Well worth it... we will be going back (over and over again!).

Absolutely superb! If you're on the fence, jump! Well worth it... we will be going back (over and over again!). Superb service and great food, what more could you ask for?!

Jason our chef cooking up our boil!!

Outer Banks Boil catered our mom's 79th birthday in Ocean City, NJ. The food was delicious!! The boil was fabulous, and the pulled pork was amazing!! And don't forget those yummy corn muffins!! Jason did the boil and I can honestly say he was THE BEST!! So much fun and knowledgeable!! As the hostess, he made sure I was happy with everything and remained stress free so I could enjoy my company and celebrate my mom!! Thankfully it did not rain, but the weather had me nervous, but Jason made everything perfect! Brought everything needed, we didn't have to worry about anything. The table with the boil was as pretty to look at as it was to eat!! And he made sure to remind us when to have our cameras ready!! Will definitely use them again for catering and will definitely be getting take-out!! Carrie Rosenberger

    Classic pot with added scallops

Phenomenal is an understatement. My husband and I stumbled in the store out of curiosity and we're SO glad we did. Store was extremely clean, workers were very friendly and personable. We got the classic pot and added scallops. On the side we added cornbread muffins and coleslaw. Some might say it's a bit costly but we say CONVENIENT. We used 2 cups of Sauvignon Blanc for steaming and it was perfect. We have a week long Ocean City family trip every year and Outer Banks Boil will now be part of the annual tradition without a doubt. Thanks so much, Outer Banks Boil Company!

Lunch is very reasonable here and delicious. I started with a large bowl of Maryland crab soup. It was excellent slightly spicy. Next up the crab cake sandwich. It came with fries and a pickle and was delicious. My wife had the Jersey broiled scallops with green beans and a squash dish. Absolutely fabulous. Old school Jersey shore seafood restaurant and it does not disappoint. This is now on my go to list

We assumed because this restaurant is huge and has a big packed parking lot that they really had something going on inside. But our meals and lackluster service proved our assumption wrong. We entered through the door nearest the parking lot, and apparently that was the bar. We were directed to two different stations before someone could seat us. Locals may know where to go for hostess seating, but a newcomers are confused by your massive restaurant and layout. Although we were seated without a wait, our server didn't greet us for a VERY LONG TIME. I asked a few of my many questions before ordering, and he was able to answer. After only ordering lunch specials and water, perhaps we weren't looking like a lucrative table, so it seemed service was perfunctory and we got delayed responses at every encounter. Even getting water refilled seemed a struggle. One lunch sized clam linguine and one broiled fish lunch special with risotto and pickled beets as a side. The clam linguine came with a nice price of toasted baguette, and three clams in shell plus more chopped. It was acceptable. The broiled fish was fine, tender flaky and lightly seasoned, but the risotto was heavy, gloppy, sticky goo. The plate was adorned with a tiny sad little lettuce leaf and a thin slice of lemon. The pickled beets were a nice change of pace, I will say. We didn't order dessert. There was a tremendous wait for the check, even though we asked for it before we finished eating. An unremarkable $36 lunch for us, we paid the bill, and after another very long wait got our credit card back and left. Not sure why this place has such good ratings, it seemed very average.

We didn't get our gloves and the bucket for the shells. It' was just 3 ladies and they had a ton of orders keeping them busy, so I'll not hold it against them. I'm thinking maybe this place is better in the summer than in the winter? The food was really disappointing. I got the Italian boil. The pasta was rewarmed and didn't taste fresh. The tomato sauce it came in was very basic and disappointing. The boil my wife got was equally disappointing... My kids disliked the Mac and cheese ( this is rare). The best part of the meal was definitely the corn bread. It was delicious. The atmosphere is tiny and cramped for a party of 5 and we were the only people there. This is more of a takeout place I guess. But, I've never been so let down by following ratings on Yelp. I feel kind giving them 2 stars.... Even the crab Rangoon appetizer wasn't good. Geez....
