Nice clean and modern(recently remodeled) restaurant located inside the Port-o Call Hotel. Nice big view of the beach and ocean from just about every table in the restaurant. They also have outside tables on the deck overlooking pool and beach. The food and service was good. There was nothing that was spectacular or knock your socks off amazing just consistent good food. We stayed at the Port-O-Call( see my other review) so Adelene was convenient for breakfast so we ate there a couple morning for breakfast.

VIEW: Adelene's location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean definitely gets 5 stars. It's an excellent way to enjoy breakfast in the morning with a calming, relaxing and phenomenal view. There's just something about seeing the Ocean first thing in the morning. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. We were a rather large party for breakfast (6 adults and 5 kids), so we opted for two tables inside to make things easier. We still had a great view. They serve breakfast from 7:30-12:00pm; hours that are earlier and later than most restaurants. FOOD: Everyone basically ordered the SUNRISER, which comes with 2 eggs, home fries (they were actually potato quarters), toast and your choice of breakfast meat. I ordered the SUNRISER JUNIOR, which included all of the above except the breakfast meat. As far as breakfast food goes, it was fine. It's hard to mess up scrambled eggs, for the most part. The home fries were ok as well. It was a good breakfast and prices were reasonable, considering it's a hotel restaurant. My only complaint would be, they would not substitute an english muffin for toast without an upcharge. Most breakfast places do accommodate this request without an additional charge. SERVICE: The service was average. Our waitress was there to do a job and wasn't too personable. She didn't come around to refill the water glasses. If in Ocean City, stop by Adelene's to grab a basic breakfast; the awesome and relaxing morning view makes it worth it.

This place is excellent. Ocean city was really lacking a nice place to have dinner. This is that place. The food is fresh and prepared wonderfully. Everything is seasoned to perfection, and everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. It's a great break from fried board walk food. I posted pictures of out meals. We were so happy to find a place that offers fresh food for grown ups. I did see the staff seat a toddler with a high chair, so well behaved children are welcome it seems. It was the best dinner we had all week by far. Keep up the good work! Also *They are only open 2 days a week, Friday and Saturday 5pm-9pm.

It's not an Ocean City family vacation without multiple trips to Kessel's! During our week at the…read moreshore, we visited Kessel's three times: takeout on our first night, ice cream mid-week, and an early dine-in dinner before heading home. As always, each of our three experiences this July were fantastic, with our last shining the most. We typically do take-out on night number one, and like in years past, the food is always ready on time and prepared as ordered. We ordered an array of items including Cheesesteaks, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Fries, and Onion Rings. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The line stretched around the side of the building the night we stopped for ice cream, but it moved quickly. Staff efficiently took orders, prepared cones and sundaes, and kept the line moving despite the large crowd. While take-out is always great from Kessel's, I will always prefer dining in! You really can't beat the old-school diner vibes and decor, and the service is outstanding. Julia, our server, did an incredible job with our party of 7. She was highly attentive, frequently checked in, and really added to our experience. My Cheesesteak Hoagie with hot peppers may have been my favorite thing I've ordered from Kessel's to date, but it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. The burgers and wraps are also solid choices. I also ordered a fresh Peach Sundae and I highly recommend! Julia even made my sundae herself in addition to waiting tables, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Absolutely picture-worthy! Kessel's is a cash-only establishment, but for seven people--including sandwiches, burgers, wraps, multiple orders of fries, and a few desserts--the total was just over $100. That's an incredible value especially at the Jersey Shore. Kessel's will always be a staple of our family vacations and continues to be a highlight for our nieces. If you've yet to experience breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just an ice cream sundae from this adorable, little, retro-feeling diner, please pay them a visit. I think you'll be glad you did.

It is normal to find oneself with a peculiar sense of being without time, and being within a coca-cola controlled dimension between ours and that of our forebears. It is crucial that you ignore any compunction to run screaming out the front door and onto the streets of Ocean City. I assure you, they are not there. What you see through those windows is an illusion to illicit comfort in your mortal mind. In actuality you have been removed to an extra-temporal imposition of Americana-kitsch. Once you have reconciled this fact and cleansed yourself of any unclean thoughts you may proceed to your booth, where you will order one cheeseburger and one strawberry milkshake. It is important that you order only these two items, as ordering any others will upset the delicate harmonics that weave our world with it. You will enjoy them. You will Pay. Only now will you be returned to our reality. It is an archaic anti-theft measure, but it is an effective one. You will leave. Be safe.

Not your average breakfast joint! My wife's family has been vacationing in Ocean City for years and…read morethis was everyone's first visit to Hooked on Breakfast. One of the servers who knows our niece suggested we stop by for breakfast during her shift and recommended we come before 8 am as it gets busy. By the time we arrived (after 8 am lol) our only option was to sit outside, otherwise the wait would've been 45 minutes--she was right. When I say I'm not a breakfast person, I don't mean I dislike breakfast foods. I just don't enjoy eating early in the day. This did not stop me from looking through pictures on Yelp and Google (Wow! Everything looked delicious!) and through the menu which had some very intriguing options including Woody's Scrap Pile, Cannoli Pancakes, and Breakfast Sushi (only on Tuesdays) just to name a few. The menu has all your typical breakfast foods and combos you'd find at any diner or breakfast joint, but then there are also much more unique, elaborate "craft" options that really make this menu stand out. Our server, who is also a teacher in my niece's school, was great. She was friendly, attentive, professional, frequently checked in, and was especially good with the kids, offering crayons and their choice of colored straws. While I didn't eat, my 5 star rating is based on the service (of course), the coffee, and unanimous positive remarks from around the table. I really liked the coffee mugs. They were large (larger than your average coffee mug), sturdy mugs that were filled nearly to the brim with piping hot coffee. My wife got the Sour Dough Delight--grilled sour dough topped with bacon, goat cheese, arugula, balsamic reduction (which she skipped) and two eggs (any style). She loved it and told me she'd absolutely order it again after she tries the Avocado Naan. Guess we're coming back at least twice more lol! Our table also had an Omelette, a breakfast sandwich, and French Toast. Everyone enjoyed their food and the portion sizes were huge--I don't think anybody finished their plate. While I did think the prices were fair, especially for the quality and quantity of food served, the online menu hadn't been updated to reflect current prices. I can see why they get as busy as they do and why they've received so many 5 star reviews. I'm sure Hooked on Breakfast will be added to our list of stops on our annual Ocean City family vacation after our experience this July.

I have heard that in the 1950s and 1960s it was considered one of the cool places for young peeps to hang out. And it was very tied in to the lifeguards from the Ocean City Beach patrol who met and ate here. Well those days are kinda over as it is more a family establishment now with dining areas on two levels. But there are nostalgic photos on the walls harking back to an earlier Ocean City and Bob's Grill. I needed a late breakfast or early lunch recently (turns out breakfast was my only option) and so I stopped into Bob's. Service was a little bit scattered from the beginning. This is a seat yourself establishment and after a while I had to ask if anyone was assigned to my table. Everyone was friendly but I did get served breakfast and then had to ask for silverware. The breakfast I ordered is not a fair one prob to judge a restaurant on but I wanted to try this dish. It was creamed chipped beef on rye toast with hash browns. The cream chipped beef didn't do it for me as it was bland in taste, very glutinous, and frankly could have used more beef. However I don't know how to compare it to other renditions as I had never eaten it before. Oh well. Bob's still has a cool, retro look, one can hear the seagulls and smell the salt air blowing off the nearby ocean, and the wait staff did try to be helpful when you had to ask for something.

The scrambled eggs were like a pile of cold crumbs, the porkroll tasted rancid, the Diet Coke was flat, the coffee was watered down. The best part of the meal was the toast.
