Merry Christmas West County! Go to Clancy's! The food never disappoints. We had to wait a little longer than usual to be seated, but that was on us. I recommend getting there earlier than 7:00 on a Friday night. Once we were seated our server Amy took care of us right away. The Christmas decor makes you feel like you are visiting at your Aunt and Uncles house down in the city. It just feels familiar. Welcoming. We had an order of the wings and shared a Rueben. Perfect. While we were finishing up I saw a sprinkle festive drink get carried past and asked about it. They have a pop-up Christmas drink menu! I had to try the Christmas Cookie. It did not disappoint. I am officially in the Christmas Spirit

I can't express enough how under rated this place is. I love going at least once a week. The Prime Rib Steak Sandwich omg so delicious and great size. Always great service as well!

Note: Clancy's current dine-in and takeout hours are only 4-8p Tue-Sat. Check out their daily dinner specials. We enjoyed our Saturday steak meals, friendly attentive service and casual ambience! And try their onion straws, a generous and tasty substitute (sub charge)! Casual pub with $6.95 lunch specials on weekdays including 6 oz. burger, Chicken breast sandwich, Smoked 1/2 Chicken or Clancy's Sausage (bratwurst) plus a side. Thursday is steak special with Strip steak and mashed potatoes for $10.95. I like it for the informal vibe and comfort foods, plus a good place for cold brew or spirits. Great gathering spot for a group or family, also have patio seating on a nice day. You know the meat is fresh with a butcher's meat case right up front at the restaurant - think they sell a good amount of butcher meat, and the restaurant is a bonus. Today I ordered a cheeseburger no bun with side salad - not sure what overcame me because normally I'd go for the fresh roll the burger is served on along with side of hot, unseasoned but salted French fries. Oh well, a healthier choice today! Burger cooked to your liking, and I had their homemade bleu cheese dressing, the only house made dressing. Plenty of other good pub fare menu selections as well, so stop in if you've never tried Clancy's. Enjoy!!!

I like this place. A nice variety of a menu and daily specials make for a good spot for dinner. My strip steak with au grauten potatoes was excellent. Steak salad was generous and big. High recommended. Greatest service by Madeleine (ask for her), who knows the menu and did great.

Had lunch here today with my folks. Servers are still very professional and friendly but the quality and value of the food has slipped. My Classic BLT $16.00 was cold. Bread not toasted, at least not enough. Came with a side. I had coleslaw. I only had a few bites to realize something was off. I asked my mom to confirm and she did. Dad got a burger and fries $17.00 meat was "chewy". Mom had the taco salad $17.00. Felt like chips should be on top not the middle layer they got soggy. With 3 soft drinks, bill was about $70 before gratuity. Sorry, not worth it, probably won't be back.

I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

The ambiance is an elevated casual and you can choose to sit in the darkened bar area or the lighter, brighter glassed off area. They also offer private booths, which are quite cool. Today I was meeting up with a former work colleague and friend from Australia. It just so happened that we were in town at the same time. She was having a business lunch meeting at Annie Gunn's, so we decided to meet there after the meeting. I didn't eat, but they did during their meeting and quite enjoyed the food. The three of us (my former colleague and a current colleague of hers) all enjoyed a tea while we caught up. It absolutely tasted fresh brewed. Their first waiter left without clearing the table, so when the new server cleared it up and was so kind, she was rewarded with a nice tip and some Lindt pistachio truffles, which I brought for my friends. 98% of my reviews include photos, but because we were all caught up in conversation, I didn't take any this time.
