Came in for lug nut replacement last year, used too much torque on the lug nut and they all stuck on the wheel. Then came back in for lug nut repair, they just cut my front right wheel and ruined my whole $6000 dollar set up. Later on my wheel hub is also broken because of overtorqued lug nuts, then it caused me to replace a whole wheel hub. read more

I really appreciated that everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Before they started working on my car they noticed that my inspection was not due until September. I told them I appreciated that they noticed it but I wanted to get it done before then to match my expiration on my plates. I appreciated that they addressed their concern to me prior to completing the work. I was in and out in about 10 minutes! Community Car Care is near my house. After reading many reviews, I decided to bring my car here last year. My very first impression of this place was great: the moment I walked in the door, the front desk greeted me even though they were busy helping other customers. I recently brought my car back for inspection, but unfortunately, they couldn't get it done until I had something fixed first. After getting it fixed a few days later, I came back before 4 PM on a Friday, but they told me the inspector wasn't working that day, and my state inspection had expired. The following Monday, I tried to leave work early and called ahead to check if the inspector was available. TJ answered the phone and confirmed that the inspector was working. I explained my situation to TJ, and he understood and assured me he would put me on the waiting list so I wouldn't have to wait long when I arrived. I got there 20 minutes before 4 PM, and everything was done in 15-20 minutes. Overall, I was very happy with the service and hospitality. read more

They quickly took my info and made an appointment that was convenient to me. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who checked me in & gave me a time-frame. I got an oil change & tire rotation and it was done lickety-split, and well within the timeframe that they quoted me. When I came to pick-up my car, they informed me of my next maintenance and were very thorough. My SUV was exactly as I gave it to them, which sadly can be an issue at some places. Came for an oil change. I had an appointment. They were saying this and that about other problems would cost me...$3k! Wtf? I didn't come for that...They said they didn't have a screw or some crap to screw the hole back so they had to drive to another dealership for parts. Said my car might leak on the way home if I didn't fix it (I live 2 miles away). Dude came back and said they couldn't get the part. They later said Oh we have the part the whole time. First time there. Took in for oil change. As a courtesy, they checked the cabin air filter but didn't put the access cover back on (it was on the car's floor) nor put the whole housing back together properly. Now I have to remove the glove box and replace the access cover and reassemble the whole housing and put the glove box back in. Makes me wonder about the quality of the actual oil change or any other work I might have wanted to go there for. And I'm certainly not going to get their other recommended repairs done there. If you can't get the simple and visible stuff right . . . . Bad value. read more

We brought our car in for two new tires after a blow out. The two left tires were clearly, visibly affected. Yet, they replaced the two front tires -- without even consulting us. These tires were all less than two years old. When confronted, they said their technician just chose which tires to replace "based on sight" without looking at the work order or discussing with us. When we demanded they put the right front tire back on and replace the (correct) damaged tire with the new tire, they informed us the right front tire was damaged when they removed it and no longer usable. So $800 later, we had to go elsewhere for a third new tire that was completely unnecessary and their fault, yet they refused to make it right. Upon checking the Better Business Bureau later, there are several complaints of a similar nature: irreversible work being done in a vehicle without consulting the owner. read more

They have a clean and inviting lobby with complimentary water, coffee, mints and a TV. The staff is friendly and professional and most importantly, responsive to phone calls. I have had safety inspections, tire services and engine diagnostics done. My family has several mechanics in it (and I run everything by them), and unfortunately, they live kind of far away... but luckily, Community Car Care is close by and trustworthy. I went in for an inspection first thing Monday morning and got lucky with a very short wait, and then got the list of things needing to be fixed for it to pass - a couple of bulbs and a more expensive part. Not unexpected for my 10 year old car! The guys were terrific, not talking down to me and explaining everything clearly and concisely. When I was not able to wait for the more involved fix, they offered me a ride to my home in a nice, clean little car driven very safely by another very nice guy who was quite professional. I worked from home, then got picked up by the same little car and driver and safely returned to my car. Upon checking out, the guy at the counter assured me that I would find my car's ride smooth and steady, and I really did notice a difference! In general, I don't trust car shops. If I'm being honest, I hate them, too. I have just been to too many shops that have done the minimum necessary - and some times less - to get their money. Then, there is Community Car Care. I don't generally write reviews, because most businesses are not worth talking about. Community Car Care is the exception. My Subaru is a 2005 model. 7 years ago, I bought her with 125,000 miles on her. She's got around 180,000 miles on her now. The current condition of that vehicle is as good as - if not better - then when I bought it. Are they the cheapest shop? No. Would I recommend anyone else? No. Are they worth the money I pay? Yes. They know me by name. They know my Subaru. I have them do all the work on her. In the event I am not completely satisfied - which rarely happens - they will work with me to make it right. Extremely disappointed with the service and how I was treated. I brought in the car early Saturday morning to have a noise looked at. I was told it could be remedied by the weekend. Due to miscommunication, I never received a message on Saturday and then had to follow on a call on Sunday to find out the status. I was told it was the brakes and I got quoted a price $50 higher than I did the day before which I mentioned to them. Then they quickly corrected themselves and changed it to the price they provided me. However, they told me they couldn't fix it so I said I would come in and pick up the car and drop it off tomorrow since I needed the car to go to work. I went to pick it up and they told me it would be 5 minutes. After helping two customers and 35 minutes passing by, they told me my cars battery had to be recharged and asked me if I have had issues...which wouldn't make sense since I recently replaced it. Annoyed, I ask again if they could check up on it and they said yes and asked me what car I had again. It had been sitting out there with the windows down and air on for the past 15 minutes... and they didn't realize it until the technician came by again. I asked what happened with the battery and he said that someone left my car in and drained the battery so that's why they had to recharge it. Then I had to pay a service charge...and then I hop in my car and I'm locked out of my cars GPS and main touch screen menu. I walk back in and tell them and they said I have to call Honda. This is when I realized that this is ridiculous. I decided it best to leave and never come here again. Not the experience I was hoping for but the experience I got.
